Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Moving in

"HEY!! DID YOU JUST CLEAN MY UNDERWEAR?!" Sally shouted at a tall, thin boy.

The boy replied with a blank expression, "I had to do the laundry, or I'd be in big trouble."

Seeing his reaction, Sally felt embarrassed and shouted, "GET OUT!!!"

With that, she retreated to her study. Suddenly, someone knocked at her door. A voice called out, "Miss Sally, are you okay?"

Meanwhile, the tall boy had crept up behind Sally to see what she was doing. When she noticed him wearing her uniform, Sally became flustered.

The voice came again, "Miss Sally, are you there?"

Sally quickly pushed the boy away and hurried toward the door. She opened it to find a tall man with long hair waiting outside.

"Seongji-ssi!" Sally exclaimed.

Seongji Yuk asked her, "Is everything okay? I thought I heard some noise."

Sally became flustered, thinking about how she'd shouted earlier. "It's nothing, Seongji-ssi. I was just doing laundry."

Seongji nodded. "Oh, is that so? Sorry if I bothered you."

"No, no, thank you for checking on me, Seongji-ssi."

Seongji suddenly said, "Aren't you Sujin's friend? You can call me Hyung. Thanks for looking after Sujin. She's not quite used to school life yet. I hope you can watch out for her."

Hearing this, Sally smiled. "No, no, I should thank Sujin. She's been a great friend to me."

Seongji nodded and turned to leave. Just as he was walking away, he heard a male voice say, "I'm hungry."

The tall boy emerged wearing Sally's unbuttoned shirt. Seongji glanced at him before looking at Sally. "Is he your friend?"

Sally flushed and stuttered, "Y-yeah. He's my friend."

Seongji nodded. "Oh, okay then. I'll be going. If you need any help, you can ask me."

With that, Seongji left. As soon as he was gone, Sally snapped at the tall boy, "What were you doing?!"

She approached him and started buttoning his shirt. The boy scratched his head and said, "Sorry, I was hungry."

Hearing this, Sally calmed down. "It's okay. But you shouldn't keep your shirt unbuttoned like this, especially in a girl's house. People can get the wrong idea."

---

"Hey... Hey... Are you okay? Look at this bruise...! What do we do...?!" Sally said as she tended to the tall boy's wound.

Then she glared at Warren. "You're the worst, Warren Chae! Hitting an innocent boy?"

She scolded him further, "I told you he's not what you think. He's a little different!!! He doesn't even pick fights every day like you."

Seeing Sally scold him, sadness appeared on Warren's face. He glanced downward and started to walk away.

"...B-Boss?" Derrick stuttered, but Warren kept walking. Vin Jin, who had witnessed all this, followed him. For some reason, Vin Jin felt a sense of camaraderie with Warren. Warren entered an alleyway and kicked a trash can.

"Why are you following me?" Warren asked, noticing Vin Jin behind him.

Vin Jin acted surprised. "Huh? Why would I follow you? I was just going in the same direction."

"You know, that's a shitty lie," Warren grumbled sadly.

Vin Jin glanced at the dejected Warren and said, "Hey man, maybe you should move in with us? That boy lives with Sally too. If you don't make your move early, you might lose her."

Warren's eyes widened. "H-he lives with Sally?!"

Vin Jin shrugged. "Well, that's what I know. It seems he moved in after us."

---

"I ran away from home too! Look at all these bags!" Warren shouted as he stood in front of Sally Park's house in the middle of the night with Max and Derrick by his side.

Sally crossed her arms and glared at him. Seeing this, Warren shouted, "I heard you two live together!! Are you crazy?"

Sally hushed him. "You're gonna wake the whole neighborhood at this rate, jackass! Get lost!"

But Warren didn't calm down. "We're moving in too!!"

Sally shouted back, "Like hell you are!!"

Watching the back-and-forth between Warren and Sally, Max and Derrick felt ashamed for Warren.

Warren suddenly lay on the ground and started behaving like a kid whose toy had been snatched away.

Suddenly, the tall boy came outside. Seeing him, Warren immediately jumped up.

"Hey, did you hold hands with her? Huh? You did, didn't you? You held her hands. I'm talking to you, asshole. Answer me. No, scratch that. Don't answer that. It'll piss me off even more."

Seeing Warren's shameless behavior, Sally shouted, "I said, get lost!!"

But the tall boy answered Warren. "...I can't hold her hands or I'll be in big trouble. When a guy and a girl hold hands, they get a baby."

Hearing this, the same thought flashed through everyone's head:

"What's wrong with him? Is he retarded? If he's in character, that's one messed up character."

Warren ignored him and looked at Sally.

"Sally. Are you really gonna live with him? He looks dangerous. It could be dangerous. I'll protect you."

Suddenly, laughter broke through the tension. "Hahaha. Protect? What protect? Weren't you rolling on the ground like a child just now?" It was Vin Jin. Then he looked at the tall boy. "And what's up with you? How the fuck did you learn that holding hands makes a baby?! Hahaha!" Vin Jin laughed as he slapped his thigh.

Suddenly, a sweet voice cut through his laughter. "Oppa, you can't be mean to anyone, right?" It was Sujin Kim.

Hearing her voice, Vin Jin immediately became obedient. "Yes, yes, I won't be mean anymore. What are you doing outside in this cold?" Vin Jin asked as he approached Sujin.

"I woke up because of the noise," Sujin replied.

Hearing her complain, Vin Jin immediately shouted toward Warren and the tall boy. "Keep it quiet, you fuckers! Don't disturb other people's sleep!"

But Sujin interrupted him. "Oppa, I didn't wake up because of them. I woke up because of how loud you were laughing."

Hearing this, Vin Jin immediately became embarrassed, while Warren Chae and the others started to laugh.

Sally wiped tears from her eyes and said, "Sujin, you really have him wrapped around your finger."
