Chapter 70 - CHAPTER 70: SACRED TOTEM BEAST! AZURE DRAGON, COMPLETE!

Mo Fan delved inside his vast Spiritual World which was completely crimson because of his Demon Element, but now he was able to see a hint of it as pitch black darkness. A testament to him losing his power of the Demon Element slowly but surely.

He ignored that fact and gazed at the mighty colossal dragon glowing in pristine Azure Scales! The large draconic head of the dragon was floating near him.

The mighty soul of Azure Dragon was staring at Mo Fan, in response Mo Fan extended his hand and caressed the humongous chin of the creature very gently. Azure Dragon closed its eyes and enjoyed the caress like a dog!

"Haha… Some things never change~" Mo Fan remarked, a hint of nostalgia in his voice.

Rroar!!

In a low rumble, the Azure Dragon conveyed a message to Mo Fan, prompting him to inquire further.

"You have a request? What is it?" Mo Fan understood the dragon's intent and listened attentively.

Raaaorr!!

"… You want to take back your… core?" Mo Fan said while being confused.

The huge head of Azure Dragon nodded in response.

"Whoa! O-okay! Let's get your core, but… where is it?" Mo Fan asked.

Mo Fan was familiar with the concept of a core. In his previous life, his Black Dragon Armour was crafted from the body of the Black Dragon Emperor Austin. However, the soul of the Black Dragon Emperor no longer resided within the armour; instead, it was the core that imbued the armour with the majestic power of the Black Dragon Emperor.

During his journey to the Dark Plane, Mo Fan discovered that the Soul of the Black Dragon Emperor had been ensnared by the Day and Night Darkness King. Despite the damage inflicted by Su Lu, the Darkness King expended considerable resources in an attempt to restore it. However, his efforts proved futile, as the completed soul ultimately returned to the Black Dragon Armour, completing it and restoring the power it possessed while living. Without the soul, the armour was unable to unleash even half of its original power.

The core represented the essence of life for every living being, the culmination of their power cultivated over a lifetime. While the soul represented the ego and the latent power of the being. If anyone is missing, then it would only be said to be half complete!

The same was with the Black Dragon Armour. Even though it's power was still of True Emperor Level without the soul, it still couldn't even come close to what it truly was once when it was in its prime. But after reuniting with its soul, the armour devoid of any consciousness was now conscious and gained the power it had when it was still alive. Now, It was no different than a Contracted Beast!

If the Azure Dragon claimed that its core still persisted even after five thousand years following its demise, it indicated either exceptional preservation or unparalleled strength to endure through the ages.

Either way, Mo Fan had to get it back before it fell into the wrong hands.

The Azure Dragon nodded it's head in response.

Mo Fan's consciousness returned to his body. The Little Loach pendant was still a Majestic Azure Dragon tattoo on Mo Fan's forehead emitting supreme power!

His eyes suddenly glowed in azure light and a moment later he was able to see an arrow made up of Azure light. The arrow was pointing at Mo Fan.

Mo Fan moved to the side, the arrow head also moved to the side he moved to. "Oh! Right! We are in a dead space." Mo Fan finally understood why it was pointing towards him!

Thud!

He lightly punched forward and a rupture in space quickly opened a portal!

Right before he left, Mo Fan casted a glance at the perfectly intact corpses of the Ruler Level Wolves. He waved his hand and the corpses immediately disappeared in thin air.

After that, Mo Fan walked through the portal and arrived in the sky above Bo City! He noticed that the arrow suddenly turned around and pointed in the North-west direction.

"So, It's there!" Mo Fan quickly enveloped in an unholy Crimson light and burst forth in the void!

THRACK!

The space immediately cracked like a shattered glass by the sheer pressure emitted by him!

The Speed Mo Fan travelled through was godly! Within a dozen seconds he reached the Great Wall of China!

The arrow showed that Mo Fan needed to follow along the Great Wall. A sense of Déjà vu crept over him, because the scenery was familiar with what he had seen before.

"This place is…"

The more he followed the arrow the more familiar it became. From the middle, he even stopped following the arrow.

He soon arrived at the place. The Ancient City Wall, also known as the Cang Wall.

The mausoleum of the Sacred Totem Beast, The Sacred Azure Dragon. He floated above the Ancient City Wall, when suddenly he was greeted by a pair of green glowing eyes.

The figure was almost a skeleton wearing a huge conical straw hat. It was emitting a strong aura of death, it was quite strong, almost a Supreme Ruler. Mo Fan coldly glared at the undead.

Thud!

He landed right in front of it boldly.

The Undead took a few steps back, he knew he was dealing with an entity which could wipe it in an instant if it wanted to.

"…" Mo Fan didn't bother speaking with the undead and walked towards the wall.

"Since when was the Sacred Evil God interested in the remains of dead creature?" The Undead gathered some courage and asked.

Mo Fan halted in his tracks and turned around. "You're not gonna stop me?" he asked.

"There's no point, The Undead Emperor asked me to guard this place with my life. But over the years I've lived, I deemed it unnecessary to place my life in danger just to protect some dead creature's grave." The Undead replied.

Mo Fan chuckled lightly. _An undead who wants to live despite being dead, how amusing_

As Mo Fan phased through the ancient wall, a breath-taking sight unfolded before him.

The city within seemed untouched by time, its ancient structures and winding streets preserving the echoes of a bygone era.

Buildings adorned with intricate carvings stood tall, their weathered stones telling tales of a long-forgotten past.

The air was thick with a sense of mystique, as if the spirits of the past still lingered in the shadows of the ancient alleys.

Undeterred by the mesmerizing surroundings, Mo Fan pressed on towards the heart of the city.

There, he came across an altar of remarkable craftsmanship, featuring a magnificent sculpture of the Azure Dragon. Beneath the statue, a fountain glistened in the dim light, its waters whispering ancient secrets.

The waters of the fountain shimmered with an ethereal glow, their surface rippling with a gentle, almost magical energy. As Mo Fan approached, he could sense the immense power that lay within the pool. This was no ordinary water—it was the Holy Spring, a reservoir of divine energy.

"A Space Expansion!"

Despite its appearance as a small fountain from far away, the pool was far larger and deeper than it seemed from up close. It was almost the size of a large pond!

Its waters sparkled with an otherworldly radiance, reflecting the azure light that enveloped the area. The edges of the pool were lined with ancient stones, intricately carved with symbols of power and mysticism.

As Mo Fan gazed into the depths of the pool, he could feel the energy pulsating within it, beckoning him to come closer.

The azure glow emanated from Mo Fan's forehead, it cascaded like a celestial waterfall over the sculpture and fountain below. With each delicate touch, the light wove its way through the intricate curves of the statue, illuminating the ancient stone with a divine radiance.

In a mesmerizing display of magic, the light surged through the dragon's form, from its majestic tail to its noble head. As if awakened by the celestial energy, the dragon's eyes blazed with a kaleidoscope of colours, casting a spellbinding aura that danced in the air.

At the same time, the waters of the fountain stirred with newfound life, swirling and spiralling around the dragon statue in a graceful dance. Mo Fan stood transfixed, his senses overwhelmed by the enchanting spectacle unfolding before him.

RRRROOOAAAARRRRRR!!!!

A thunderous roar reverberated through the ancient city as the dragon statue came to life with a dazzling display of light. From its eyes emerged a radiant, prismatic glow, coalescing into a large, shimmering ball of rainbow-colored light that hovered gracefully above the serene pond below.

The ball, with hues as vibrant as the rainbow itself, cast a mesmerizing glow over the surroundings, illuminating the ancient architecture in a surreal, ethereal light. The colourful ball was the size of a soccer ball!

As his fingers made contact, he could feel the sheer force and magnitude of the energy contained within. It didn't have a physical form! It was as if he could sense the very essence of his Sacred Totem Beast, pulsating with life and power.

As the core of the Azure Dragon departed from the statue, the majestic sculpture, once vibrant and lifelike, crumbled into a fine dust, scattering into the winds of time.

Simultaneously, the azure dragon tattoo on Mo Fan's forehead, It shimmered and shifted, transforming into a dazzling pendant that gracefully dangled back to rest upon his chest.

The core of the Azure Dragon, now a radiant essence, floated effortlessly back into the pendant, merging seamlessly with its rightful place.

To an onlooker, it would appear as if the essence had vanished into Mo Fan's chest,

As Mo Fan approached the altar, a brilliant azure light erupted from the pendant.

Twiiii~innnnnnn!!

Dooooooommm!!!!!!

Its radiance was so intense that it bathed the entire ancient city in a luminous glow, casting long shadows that danced against the ancient stone walls. The light was so strong that it simply pierced through the barriers of the ancient wall and stretched into the vastness of the sky above.

The spectacle was nothing short of miraculous, captivating all who beheld it. The once-quiet streets of the ancient city were now aglow with the dazzling display, as if the very essence of the Azure Dragon had descended upon the world once more.

The Azure Dragon was now complete.
