Chapter 109 - CHAPTER 109: SUGAR BROTHER, MO FAN~

Mo Fan didn't waste time and boarded his private jet at Hongqiao Shanghai Airport which he booked while waiting for the angry girl sitting next to him.

Qin Yu'er was huffing and puffing like a little child who had just been told she couldn't have dessert despite her age.

Meanwhile, the air host and hostesses couldn't take their eyes off the duo; Mo Fan and Qin Yu'er were a sight to behold, turning heads wherever they went.

It wasn't just the crew that was captivated; travellers in the airport paused mid-step to admire the striking pair.

The classy and elegant presence of Mo Fan was compelling, but it was Qin Yu'er who truly drew gasps and whispers. Her goddess-like appearance practically lit up the jetway, and the admiration only intensified when they stepped aboard the jet.

"Excuse me, sir, I'm the Chief Purser of your flight today, My name is Li Mei, should I get you something?" A mature-looking air hostess approached with a business smile.

"Hmm..." Mo Fan glanced at Qin Yu'er for a moment, and then placed his order,

"We haven't had our breakfast yet, so, do you mind if you could bring us some Baozi, Youtiao and Doujiang?" He ordered all the things which Qin Yu'er liked to eat at breakfast.

Li Mei blinked, her professionalism momentarily shaken. The two couple in front of her looked extremely rich 3rd gens of some conglomerate household, but they still eat commoners breakfast?? Are they really that down-to-earth? She thought, her mind confused.

"Oh! Certainly, sir," she replied, nodding quickly to mask her surprise. "I'll have that arranged for you right away."

"Thank you~" Mo Fan said and secretly glanced at the angry sister sitting beside him.

"Hmph!" Qin Yu'er hmphed but Mo Fan could tell that she was pleased this time. He chuckled.

...

After they finished their breakfast, Mo Fan and Qin Yu'er found themselves slipping into a casual rhythm of conversation, their earlier tension now fully dissolved.

Qin Yu'er leaned back, looking out at the clouds drifting by, then glanced over at Mo Fan, curiosity flashing in her eyes.

"So, where exactly are we going?" she asked, realizing she hadn't actually been told their destination.

"Tianjin," Mo Fan replied simply, barely looking up as he scrolled through his tablet, scanning the latest news for any updates on the situation in South Korea.

"Tianjin? Why are we going there?" Qin Yu'er raised an eyebrow, puzzled at the thought of traveling so far just for breakfast.

"It's because there's land—and a nameless city in that region—that I want to buy," Mo Fan said, almost absentmindedly, his attention still fixed on the screen.

"?!" Qin Yu'er froze, stunned by what she'd just heard. "A city…?" The words barely left her lips as she stared at him in disbelief.

"Mhm Hmm." Mo Fan nodded in response as if it was no big deal.

Growing up, Qin Yu'er had lived a life worlds apart from all this.

Grown in the remote, dangerous Tian Shan Mountains, she had little knowledge of wealth in the way most people understood it. She'd found countless rare resources in those mountains—precious stones and ice-element treasures that would have sold for millions—yet to her, they had been nothing more than the tools she needed to survive and grow her cultivation.

She rarely interacted with the outside world and hardly knew the actual value of such resources.

Her experience in the National Team had given her only a brief glimpse of the world outside her village. And even then, she had distanced herself from others, her cold demeanour and intimidating ice talent creating an almost unbridgeable divide. She rarely bought anything beyond what was essential. Her fellow teammates, intimidated by her power and aloofness, kept their distance, and only Zhankong had shown her genuine kindness.

Back then, there had been no Sugar Brother like Mo Fan in her life, no one to constantly source the rare, world class Ice-elemental treasures that could ease the torment of her innate constitution. She had endured the torturous pain alone, the icy energy surging through her veins was a constant reminder of her unique yet isolating gift.

But now, with Mo Fan by her side supplying her with a never ending source of such High-end resources and her cultivation at the Super Level, she felt relief she'd never thought possible.

With a steady supply of ice resources, her condition was stabilized, allowing her to enjoy moments of normalcy. She could laugh, relax, and even feel… happy, without the ever-present burden of her powers.

And now, here was Mo Fan, casually mentioning plans to buy land and a CITY as if it were the simplest thing in the world. It was so far removed from anything she could have imagined.

Mo Fan looked up from his tablet, catching the shock on her face. He raised an eyebrow. "What? Didn't think I had it in me?"

She shook her head slightly, "It's not that… I just never imagined I'd know someone who could even consider buying a city. It feels… surreal."

He chuckled, leaning back in his seat. "Surreal, huh? Coming from someone who survived alone in the Tian Shan Mountains, that's saying something."

Qin Yu'er gave a small laugh, but her expression softened. "Those mountains were my home… everything there felt normal to me. All the rare ice treasures, the harsh conditions—they were just part of my life. But seeing all this," she gestured around the luxurious jet and the open sky outside, "feels like stepping into another world."

Mo Fan looked at her thoughtfully. He hadn't considered how vastly different their lives had been. He had come from humble beginnings too, but his life hadn't been nearly as isolated or extreme as hers.

"Well," he said after a pause, "maybe it's time you got a taste of this world too. You've spent enough of your life alone. You deserve to enjoy it."

Qin Yu'er's expression softened further, and she looked at him with a rare warmth. "Thanks to you… I think I'm finally starting to."

They sat in silence for a moment, the gentle hum of the jet the only sound between them. Then, Mo Fan smirked, breaking the calm.

"Besides," he added, his eyes gleaming with mischief, "who else can pull off a look like this on a private jet?"

Qin Yu'er snorted, crossing her arms as she leaned back, feigning indifference. "Oh please, don't flatter yourself. You're just lucky I was here to balance out the look. They probably think I'm the reason you're on this jet in the first place."

Mo Fan laughed. "Maybe, but between the two of us, I'd say I'm making quite the impression."

Qin Yu'er tried to hold back her laughter but failed, her lips curving up as she laughed heartily. Seeing her laugh, Mo Fan also smiled with satisfaction.
