Chapter 135 - CHAPTER 135: WHAT DID YOU DO TANG YUE??

"Heok—!"

Mo Fan bolted upright, gasping for air, as though waking from a nightmare that had gripped him in terror.

*Pant*

*Pant*

His chest heaved, his breath ragged, and his entire body trembled uncontrollably. Cold sweat trickled down his temples, and his hands quivered in fear.

His eyes were wide and filled with terror, the lingering fragments of his dream seared into his mind.

He quickly closed his eyes and muttered, "Pacify!"

Whoosh~

A pink star-orbit magic circle instantly appeared in front of him, casting a calming glow over his shivering form.

The soothing light of the Psychic Element wrapped around him, steadying his racing heart and cooling his frazzled nerves.

After a long moment, he exhaled deeply.

"Phew…" His voice was hoarse, but his breathing finally slowed.

"What was that?" Mo Fan muttered, still shaken. "It felt like I was trapped in an eternity of nothingness…"

He rubbed his face, trying to ground himself. When his gaze fell on the bed beneath him, he paused. The bed was large. It was a king-sized soft bed.

"Huh…?" Mo Fan's eyes scanned the room.

It was spacious, with high ceilings and ornate furnishings.

A small but delicate crystal chandelier hung overhead, casting a soft golden glow. The walls were lined with intricate wooden paneling, and a large bay window framed the night sky outside. The floor was covered in a soft rug that sank underfoot, and a small sitting area in the corner completed the lavish setting.

"Where am I?" he asked aloud, bewildered.

The last thing he remembered was collapsing after using the Sacred Evil God's powers to stop the Sacred Azure Dragon from killing the Black Totem Snake.

He had been with Tang Yue on the hill… but this?

A hotel room? Mo Fan guessed. Tang Yue didn't know where he lived in the city, so she must've brought him here.

But even so, he couldn't recall a hotel this extravagant being left in his city after all the reconstruction efforts.

His gaze shifted to his wrist, where an IV needle was taped securely in place. Following the tube, he noticed an IV bottle containing a quarter of yellow liquid.

"Iv…?" Mo Fan mumbled, his voice trailing off. Gently, he pinched the tube, stopping the flow, and removed the needle with a wince.

He flexed his hand, happy to have it free again.

Throwing the blanket aside, he swung his legs over the side of the bed and placed his feet on the soft rug.

But the moment he tried to stand, his knees buckled.

"What the—?!" Mo Fan collapsed, his chin colliding painfully with the chair beside the bed.

"Argh…" He groaned, propping himself up on one arm. His legs felt like jelly, utterly useless.

_Just because I used the Sacred Evil God's powers for a few seconds, I'm in this condition?_ Mo Fan thought bitterly, staring at his legs.

He could move them, but any attempt to put weight on them was futile.

Ka-Thud!

Kreeeeek....

The door creaked open, interrupting his train of thought.

A middle-aged woman in maid uniform entered, pushing a trolley laden with food and medical supplies. She had a neat, professional appearance, with a long skirt and an apron tied perfectly at her waist.

"Ah!" She froze momentarily, surprised to see Mo Fan on the floor instead of the bed.

"Mr. Mo Fan, you're awake!" she exclaimed, quickly hurrying toward him.

Before she could reach him, a younger maid peeked in from behind her, carrying a neatly folded set of clothes.

"Lin Yue, call Master and Mistress!" the middle-aged maid ordered without hesitation.

"Huh?" Lin Yue looked confused for a moment.

"Now! I'll call the doctor!" she said firmly, already pulling out a phone from her pocket.

"Yes, Madam Feng!" Lin Yue responded quickly, darting out of the room.

Meanwhile, the older maid, Madam Feng, knelt beside Mo Fan to help him back onto the bed.

Despite his initial reluctance, he allowed her to assist him, realizing he couldn't manage on his own.

Once he was settled, Madam Feng adjusted the pillows behind him and gave him a warm but professional smile. "Mr. Mo Fan, how are you feeling?"

"Who are you? How do you know me?" Mo Fan asked warily, his voice tinged with confusion.

"My name is Feng Lian. I am the head maid of the Tang family. I was assigned to take care of you by Young Miss Tang Yue," she explained calmly while checking his pulse and general condition.

"Head maid? Tang family?" Mo Fan frowned, the pieces not quite fitting together.

"I understand this must all be very confusing, but please rest for now. The Master will explain everything when he arrives," Feng Lian said in a measured tone, her voice soothing.

Mo Fan wanted answers, but his body betrayed him, pulling him back into a state of fatigue and weakness.

He leaned against the headboard, his eyelids growing heavy once again.

Noticing his weariness, Feng Lian placed a reassuring hand on his arm. "The doctor will be here soon to examine you. In the meantime, you must rest."

Reluctantly, Mo Fan nodded.

His head tilted back, and his gaze fixated on the chandelier above him.

The lingering questions swirled in his mind:

Tang Family?

But the Tang Clan was all the way in Hangzhou! Was he really in Hangzhou??

Did Tang Yue bring him here with the Black Totem Snake's help?

Why did she bring him all the way here??

Just what did you do, Ms. Tang Yue??

But despite so many unanswered questions for now, his body demanded rest, and his thoughts began to blur as exhaustion overtook him once again.
