Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The True Nature of Innate Qi — To Contain All Rivers and Embrace All Things, Capable of Evolving Every Form of Energy

"During the process of Teyvat's evolution, one transmigrator after another arrived in this world."

"These transmigrators slowly became part of Teyvat."

"At the same time…"

"These transmigrators also brought earth-shattering changes to Teyvat. The transformations of the Seven Nations of the Mortal Realm all originated from them."

"To this day…"

"Compared to the past, Teyvat has already undergone earth-shaking changes."

Jiang Mo sat quietly in place, listening intently to Raiden Makoto's narration.

As time passed,

what Raiden Makoto described gradually matched what Jiang Mo had already known or guessed, allowing him to roughly understand the special situation of this "modified" Teyvat.

"But…" Jiang Mo asked curiously, "Sister Makoto, what does all of this have to do with me? Or rather, why are you telling me this?"

Raiden Makoto didn't answer directly. Instead, she asked in return,

"Xiao Mo, Morax hopes for you to become the second Geo Archon. Do you know why?"

"Eh?"

"I really don't know what the old man is thinking," Jiang Mo said honestly.

After all, both the Lord of Dust and the Dragon King were still alive.

Even if Morax truly wished to retire, there were plenty of candidates—there was no need to choose him, right?

"Innate Qi."

"To embrace all things."

"To contain all rivers."

"If we were to say—"

"That the essence of Teyvat originates from Flogiston, then as Teyvat evolved, Flogiston and Elemental Energy both became merely parts of Teyvat."

"However!"

"The Innate Qi of Liyue possesses the very nature of encompassing all rivers and embracing all things."

Raiden Makoto softly explained, revealing the core of Jiang Mo's Innate Qi.

"Hmm?"

Jiang Mo frowned slightly, as if realizing something.

Indeed—Raiden Makoto wasn't the type to speak in riddles. Aside from a few matters that truly needed to be hidden, she spoke plainly and directly.

"However, that's just one interpretation. In Teyvat, there exist countless forms of power—Inazuma's Onmyodo, Ninjutsu, and Yokai arts; Sumeru's power of spirits; Fontaine's psychic abilities; and Natlan's Stand-like powers…"

"All of these energies are just forms of energy. Theoretically, they can all be encompassed within Innate Qi—contained within it, embraced by it, and turned into nourishment for it."

Raiden Makoto continued her explanation, and Jiang Mo subconsciously nodded.

"Indeed, Innate Qi truly contains the origin of all things."

"Wait…"

Suddenly, Jiang Mo froze, blurting out instinctively,

"Don't tell me—the only truly complete Innate Qi capable of encompassing everything and turning all into nourishment… is mine?"

"Exactly."

Raiden Makoto smiled faintly and nodded, directly confirming Jiang Mo's uniqueness.

Good grief.

Now Jiang Mo finally understood why the old man valued him so much.

No matter how "modified" this version of Teyvat had become, everyone else still belonged to Teyvat's system.

As for those supposedly overpowered "Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah"?

Ha… those might have been terrifying in the original Teyvat.

But in this "modified" version? Against the old man or that silly Shadow (Raiden Ei)?

They'd probably be chopped down with ease—not even on the same level.

And the reason?

It was simple. As Teyvat continued to evolve, the influence of Abyssal energy had been steadily weakened.

To put it simply—

In the past, Abyssal energy was like SSR-quality, Level 100 top-tier energy.

But now? Though its quality hadn't changed, Teyvat had produced SP-tier energies—Level 100, even Level 200. Compared side by side, the Abyss had been completely outclassed.

That's why, five hundred years ago, when Khaenri'ah triggered the black beast tide, it caused only minor trouble for the Seven Nations—barely a real problem at all.

A small stream might flood a cottage—

But could it flood Mount Tai?

Ridiculous.

"Then…" Jiang Mo asked, puzzled, "Sister Makoto, what exactly are you trying to say?"

Honestly, Jiang Mo couldn't quite grasp Raiden Makoto's intentions.

What was the original Raiden Shogun really after?

Instead of answering, she asked again:

"Xiao Mo, do you believe the Innate Qi you've mastered is complete?"

"Of course—"

"No, it's not!"

Jiang Mo almost answered instinctively, but immediately realized something was off.

Over the past three years,

he had primarily cultivated the most advanced form of Innate Qi found in Liyue.

However, beyond that—he had also studied the immortal arts of Adepti, Elemental Power, and even the internal energy of martial sects, as well as Morax's divine power.

He had researched all of it—and each time, it was as if a seed had been planted, causing his Innate Qi to grow continuously stronger in a short time.

That was the true reason why his power had advanced so dramatically in just three years.

Looking at it now…

"Xiao Mo,"

Raiden Makoto spoke softly,

"That's right."

"The internal energy, true qi, and immortal arts of Liyue—along with the Elemental Power of Teyvat, Morax's divine power, and many others—have all fused into your Innate Qi. It truly contains all rivers and embraces all things. What you possess is the true Innate Qi, but it is not yet complete. It is still in its foundational stage—requiring constant fuel to keep burning stronger."

Raiden Makoto had pointed out the essence of the issue.

Normally,

Innate Qi, by its very nature, should already encompass all things, contain all rivers, and easily transform into any other kind of energy.

To wield all forms of power with ease—

That is the true Innate Qi.
