Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: A New Passive, An Alternative Use!

But before he could think more about it, a long-dormant sense of power surged within Sakeer.

He moved his body, testing the newfound strength coursing through him.

Especially his magic.

With 28 mana points, he could finally cast fourth-tier spells!

Previously, he had upgraded "Heat Up" to Tier 4, but due to his low mana pool, he had been completely unable to use it.

Now, that restriction was gone.

Magic Swordsman

Sakeer recalled the Magic Swordsman class and found it strangely familiar.

Then it hit him.

In the Great Tomb of Nazarick, there had been someone else who possessed a similar profession.

After sifting through his memories, he quickly remembered who it was.

One of the 41 Supreme Beings of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

A monstrous entity—its body a grotesque mass of flesh, covered in countless mouths. It had four arms, wielding two magic staves and two longswords.

His name was Bellriver. And his profession?

A Magic Knight.

However, among the 41 Supreme Beings, he was only considered second-rate in terms of power.

His strength relied more on superior player skills and battle positioning rather than the raw power of his class.

This reinforced the idea that Magic Knight were, at best, a mediocre class due to their lack of unique abilities.

In the game, that was simply how things worked.

With only 100 total levels, a warrior-based character could only use magic as a secondary tool, never as a main focus.

But Sakeer was different.

For him, this wasn't a problem.

After all, his "Genius" trait could more than make up for the class's shortcomings.

There was another reason why Sakeer remembered this player so vividly.

Out of the 41 Supreme Beings, he was the only one known to have died in real life.

And it wasn't from natural causes.

In the real world of "Overlord", Bellriver learned some ominous information about the megacorporations which ruled the world.

Because of that information—

Someone had him killed.

Sakeer crouched down, lifting the fat hare he'd caught earlier.

With a quick swing of his longsword, he sliced open its abdomen, allowing its bloody innards to spill onto the ground.

Immediately, Muguo, who had been waiting impatiently, scuttled forward.

Excited, he devoured the fresh entrails in one gulp.

Sakeer barely paid attention to him.

Instead, he cast a spell.

"Heat Up."

A flash of red light flared as he consumed 1 MP, activating the zero-tier spell, "Heat Up."

The hare's fur shrivelled under the intense heat, quickly curling and burning away.

The scorching temperature reduced the hairs to ashes, causing them to fall off on their own.

In less than a minute, the entire rabbit was roasted through, releasing an irresistible aroma into the air.

After a brief cleanup, Sakeer found a sturdy tree, leaned his back against its thick trunk, and began to eat.

It was a precautionary measure—

If something were to attack from behind, he would be prepared.

Although, with his current strength, there were likely no monsters in the forest's outskirts that could pose a real threat to him, he still refused to lower his guard.

The roasted hare, however, was nothing special without seasoning.

After taking a few bites, Sakeer selected the most tender parts for himself, then tossed the remaining meat to Muguo, who had been waiting eagerly.

The creature pounced on the food, stuffing its mouth.

Sakeer watched him in silence.

Back in his old world, there was a custom—

One should always let their prey eat their fill before they die.

And that was exactly what he intended to do.

With his "Genius" class having now met the required level, there was no longer any reason for Sakeer to remain in the Great Forest of Tob.

Still, there was no need to rush.

"Take your time. Eat slowly."

For once, Sakeer allowed a faint smile to surface as he spoke to Muguo.

"Thank you, lord..." Muguo mumbled, his mouth stuffed full, making his words barely intelligible.

Sakeer shifted his gaze away from the creature, slipping one hand into his pocket while raising his iron sword with the other.

It was time to test the passive effect of "Mana Infusion."

The moment the thought crossed his mind, Sakeer felt the magic within him begin to flow toward the iron sword in his grasp.

Then—

A translucent, shimmering magical aura enveloped the weapon's surface.

"It's not just a simple mana coating... Even the sword's sharpness seems to have increased."

Sakeer observed the changes in the blade, his eyes flashing with interest.

But before he could examine it further—

Crack.

A faint fracture formed along the sword's surface.

Sakeer barely had time to react before the small crack rapidly spread across the entire blade like a web of shattered glass.

Within two breaths—

The sword was covered in fractures.

Then, with a soft click, the weapon disintegrated into countless shards of irregular iron filings, scattering onto the ground.

Sakeer stood frozen, staring at the only thing that remained—the sword's hilt, still grasped in his hand.

"What the…"

Hearing the commotion, Muguo paused mid-bite, glancing up in confusion.

"Sir...? What happened?"

Sakeer dismissed the question with a wave, his attention still fixed on the pile of metal fragments at his feet.

"The sword couldn't withstand 'Mana Infusion'?"

That seemed to be the most logical explanation.

Acting on instinct, he reached into his item box and pulled out a mithril dagger.

Once again, he channeled mana into the blade.

This time—

No cracks. No signs of breaking. The dagger remained perfectly intact.

"So, the problem lies in the weapon's material."

Weapons crafted from ordinary iron couldn't handle magical reinforcement. Only special metals—mithril, orichalcum, steel, and other mana-conductive materials—were capable of withstanding Mana Infusion.

Sakeer let out a small sigh.

"Well... there goes an iron sword."

He reached into his item box once more, retrieving another weapon while contemplating the unexpected discovery.

In the game, there had been no such limitations. Any weapon could be enchanted, regardless of material.

But in this world, things were different.

If anything—

This ability had evolved into something more refined, more realistic.

At its core, Mana Infusion was simply the act of forcing magic into an object.

But if that was the case...

Could it be used for more than just weapons?

Sakeer's eyes narrowed as a bold idea formed in his mind.

He raised his palm, concentrating his magic.

Within moments, a faint blue glow flickered to life, swirling gently in his grasp.

"That's right..."

"This isn't just a game mechanic anymore—this is a real-world magic system. Why should its applications be so limited?"

His mind raced with possibilities.

Without hesitation, he reached into his item box and retrieved an alchemy solution he had previously discarded.

Normal healing potions were created by combining magic with herbs.

Alchemy solutions worked the same way.

Before this moment, Sakeer had lacked the means to properly infuse magic into the mixture.

But now...

That had changed.

Bringing the water bag containing the inferior alchemy solution close, he focused.

"Mana Infusion!"

As magic poured into the murky, foul-smelling liquid, something remarkable happened.

A faint magical glow began to radiate from the solution.

It's working!

Sakeer's eyes lit up as he quickly continued to inject more mana.

1 mana.

2 mana.

3 mana.

4 mana.

5 mana.

The transformation was obvious.

The once turbid, putrid alchemy solution had gradually cleared, its color shifting to a vibrant blue.

By the time 5 mana had been infused—equivalent to the cost of a first-tier spell—the liquid had become completely translucent, shimmering with a gentle radiance.

Additionally, the solution's volume had shrunk to nearly one-third of its original capacity.

Sakeer inspected the water bag closely.

Inside, the alchemy solution emitted a soft blue glow, its magical properties clearly enhanced.

Without hesitation, he activated "Item Appraisal."

[Item Appraisal Results]

Item: Magic Alchemy Solution (Paralysis Potion)Grade: LowestEffect: Inflicts "Paralysis" on the target for 10 minutes. (Potion effect fades after 30 days.)

"??!!"

Sakeer stared at the newly enhanced potion, a mix of surprise and excitement flashing across his face.

It really worked!

"This means pharmacists should also be able to use 'Mana Infusion' for potion-making," he muttered.

"But… they would still have to deal with dosage measurements and ingredient balance. It wouldn't be as efficient as direct alchemy."

A thrill ran through him.

If he could master this technique, he could bypass traditional alchemy constraints altogether!

Without wasting another second, Sakeer continued infusing mana into the solution, eager to see just how far this enhancement could go!
