That was a middle-aged woman in a Spider-Suit, sporting a big belly and a huge afro.
The person who had arrived was none other than Spider-Woman Jessica Drew, Spider-Gwen's mentor after she joined the Spider-Society, and Miguel's assistant!
"Gwen, hey, what are you doing?" Jessica Drew looked at Spider-Gwen, sizing her up with an examining gaze.
"Nothing, everything's fine, um, fine, don't worry." Spider-Gwen tried to explain, covering up her work mistakes, then hastily hung up the communication, "Goodbye."

"Shhh!" Peter held up a finger to his lips, signaling silence.
Miles nodded.
Peter brought him back to their previous observation point.
"Ladies, it seems he's creating portals, a large number of them, and this behavior will severely damage the Web of Life structure of the parallel universes," Lena said, tracking the energy signals Spot left behind.
Jessica Drew's expression darkened as she questioned, "And you still say he's just a small fry? Do you know what kind of trouble you've caused!"
Spider-Gwen lowered her head.
She never imagined that her personal desire to visit her friend Miles in this world, along with a brief conversation with Peter, would lead to this situation.
If she had known earlier...
"The universes he's going to all have an Ockmax in them," Lena then analyzed, pointing out a major commonality among these worlds.
"What's his goal, Gwen?" Jessica Drew asked.
Spider-Gwen said, "He wants to make himself stronger."
"I'll catch him, okay? I can call for backup," Spider-Gwen tried to salvage the situation.
"If Miguel finds out I let you..." Jessica Drew sighed.
"Don't tell Miguel," Spider-Gwen pleaded, "He'll send me away. What if he makes me go home?"
"Found him, in Universe 50101!" Lena announced.
"What are you planning to do?" Spider-Gwen looked at Jessica Drew nervously.
Jessica Drew considered it for a moment, then said to Lena, "Tell the Spider-Man there that Gwen is coming for him."
"Alright, Ms. Drew," Lena responded.
"Thank you, thank you so much. I'll definitely get this done."
"Don't thank me. You've got an hour to sort this out, or I'm out of options." Jessica Drew said, cutting the connection.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
Peter and Miles leaped over, landing beside Spider-Gwen.
"Need a hand, girl?" Peter offered his hand.
