Chapter 7 - Chapter 4

A while later

The bedroom of Princess Rhaenyra was being cleaned. Her bed was changed and scrubbed, the windows thrown open wide as the air rushed inside the room, sweeping away the scent of blood and leaving behind only the smell of innocence from two newborn children—though that was far from the truth. Henrik drank milk from his mother's plump, soft, big white breasts with delight and eagerness, his tiny mouth working at her hard nipples like gum as Rhaenyra panted softly and blushed, excitement coursing through her body as her child fed. Her other teat was being ravaged by her daughter, who ate innocently with closed eyes, differently from her brother's barbaric state.

The midwives bustled about, cleaning the afterbirth. They had also cleaned Rhaenyra's body, making everyone gasp in amazement after they talked about the new dragon mark on her body. Similarly, her daughter, the little princess, presented one in the same place as her mother, on the left side of her neck. Everyone, not knowing what to say about their presence, not even Grand Maester Mellos, attributed it to the Gods' will, favoring their princess and little princess. Meanwhile, the little prince did not have such a mark on his body.

'So delicious... this milk! And these beautiful white, plump tits!' Henrik thought excitedly as he couldn't get enough of the expanse of whiteness before his eyes and the little red pearl in front, from which delicate drops of ambrosia fell out.

Rhaenyra blushed at those words that came from her child! She didn't know what to think of that... of his perverted and devious mind, to say the least of it.

She was already able to control her mind and put her thoughts in order after a while, already knowing what the cause was of the weird things she was currently experiencing. She cradled in her chest the source of her new predicament as he feasted, as he wanted, from her milk with his sister. Still, after learning some disturbing revelations in such a short span, she had felt like her world was crumbling at first. She was fearful of many things and distressed because of her daughter's looks, but even if they came... weird... as they were, they were still her precious children. She loved them both the same!

'What names should I give them?' Rhaenyra mused as a soft moan left her mouth because of her naughty boy. "Mhm... easy... baby... Don't munch that hard!"

'Should she name him Aegon? He was quite strong already, far from a normal baby. His sister was also quite the same. Should she be named Visenya? But there was already an Aegon that made her disgusted by the name quite a bit. Her daughter should be Visenya... with those scales around her little body, she would need to be strong to face the people who would maliciously comment about them...'

Rhaenyra sighed distressedly just thinking about it.

The door to the chamber creaked open, and the room fell silent as King Viserys Targaryen, alongside the Lord Commander, walked in. His eyes, usually warm and kind, held a heavy shadow in them. He approached her with slow, measured steps, as it took a toll on him because of his state. The midwives and servants curtsied deeply to him.

"Rhaenyra," Viserys smiled a bit at his daughter as he spoke. "Congratulations on a safe deliv—" He was saying as he looked at her, but when his gaze fell upon the children, he stopped as his body trembled.

"How could it..." Viserys was surprised and sad, seeing that she had two instead of one. She had seen in his vision one man, but after the shock of it, he was deeply saddened to see that one of them had been born with problems.

"What are you doing here?" She spoke to him with a bit of hate and also weakness.

"You were giving birth; of course I would be here. Even if you hate me."

Rhaenyra trembled as she looked at him with tears. "Did I do something wrong, Father?"

"No!" Viserys exclaimed. "Of course not. Why do you say that?"

"Then why was she born like this? Why is my daughter like this?" She sorrowfully cried, looking for her father's comfort.

"No, don't say that, my sweet child," Viserys said as he sat beside her, embracing her. "If anybody was wrong, it is your stupid father." He said with a knot in his throat. "I was the one who made that child like this."

The king was sorrowful, and his heart clenched in pain as he looked at his granddaughter's body, thinking that because of his forceful feeding of moon tea to her daughter throughout this month, he had hurt her body and health, and because of that, her daughter was born like this.

"What will she do? She will have a hard life because of how she is!" Rhaenyra sobbed.

"It's okay. I... I will take care of her." Viserys softly said as he patted her daughter in his embrace while she held her children.

"What are their names?"

"I... I thought of naming her Visenya. Hoping she will be strong and valiant as her namesake, to be able to confront whatever comes her way with a steady will. And... for my son, I thought of naming him Aegon."

'Visenya? Good name.' Henrik tsked in delight at his sister's name. But his brows furrowed in displeasure at his own. 'I don't want any Aegon cuck name! Woman, change it! Take it back!'

Rhaenyra pursed her lips for a moment at those words before continuing. "But I changed my mind later. I don't like that name that much," she said with clear displeasure and disgust in her voice.

Viserys' lips twitched wryly.

"So I will name him Baelon, for my late brother and grandfather."

"Baelon... Visenya." Viserys mouthed their names softly, as if tasting the sound of them. "They are fine choices for the little prince and princess, my daughter."

"Then so be it. They shall be Baelon and Visenya." He proclaimed with a smile.

"...." Rhaenyra was displeased as her tears started drying on her soft face. "Baelon and Visenya Targaryen!" she angrily said.

Viserys twitched. "Of course, Baelon and Visenya Targaryen. Proud children of House Targaryen."

"Princess, please drink this concoction to help you heal better after such a hard childbirth. Your body needs to recover," Grand Maester Mellos said as he moved a bowl to her lips.

Rhaenyra drank from it until nothing was left. Then she said, "I feel quite tired... let me rest."

"Sure, my child, let me embrace my grandchildren for a bit while you rest."

Viserys took hold of the boy in one arm and the little baby girl in the other as he stood from the bed and rocked the babies, delightedly observing them. The little boy was just a perfect Targaryen child in every way, while his sister, Visenya, was the same except for the scales around her little body and those purple, dragon-like eyes that made him feel like he was being preyed upon by a beast.

He was still unsure of that little girl, as he had not seen her in his vision, but here she was... and unfortunately, she was born like this because of him. Viserys looked at his daughter swaying with the babies in his arms...

And because of him, they would not have a mother either. He lamented at the monster he was becoming, but he hardened his heart for his daughter. He couldn't let her suffer because of him, because of his choices.

He walked out of the room as Rhaenyra was already asleep in bed, with the little babies in his arms alongside Harrold and Mellos.

Viserys knew that after today, his daughter might hate his guts to the core, never to see him again as a father.

'This is for the best, so your position as heir is not disputed by anyone. This will also help your relationship with your husband.' Viserys deluded himself.

"Mellos," Viserys dully said. "How are my grandchildren?"

"They are both fine, Your Grace," Mellos quickly said. "The little prince has a healthy and strong body without any problems. The little princess, instead, has those dragon-like eyes and protrusions like scales over her skin, but except for that, she has a strong and healthy body too."

"Will she have a problem?"

"I believe, in my personal opinion, Your Grace, that the fact she was born alive is already a miracle. I don't think she will have problems that would endanger her life more than the typical dangers of a baby growing up."

"Good."

"Ser Harrold," Viserys turned to look at his Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. His voice was solemn and laced with a tint of pleading. "I charge you with a task that must be kept in the strictest confidence. Take these two children away from King's Landing, and ensure that no one knows where you have taken them. Not even I am to know their whereabouts, lest a moment of weakness tempt me to recall them."

"I will draft a decree legitimizing them as Targaryens, as I promised my daughter, and give you gold enough to see them into coming of age. At that time, you may bring them back to court."

"I believe by then... Rhaenyra may be Queen, and their coming would be without any troubles."

"Please, old friend. Could you take care of them during this time?"

Harrold's brow furrowed slightly at that command and plea from his king, but he nodded. "As you command, Your Grace."

Viserys sighed, the weight of his decision pressing heavily upon him. "I relieve you of your duty as Kingsguard."

"Make sure to take a wet nurse who isn't disgusted with the little girl's appearance and leave at once."

....

A while later, Viserys looked at his Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.

"Raise them well, my friend."

Harrold Westerling took the children from the king's arms, the babies' tiny faces scrunching in protest at the change. Viserys watched as the knight turned away with a resolute face and entered the carriage, the children nestled against his chest. He felt a pang of something akin to regret, but he pushed it aside. This was necessary. For the realm. For the dynasty. For Rhaenyra, though she would never understand.

As the carriage made its way through the city, Harrold sat inside with the children in his arms; he knew not where to go, alongside a wet maid, a red-haired young girl who was barely coming of age herself and quite pretty, and beside her in a crib was also her daughter. The wet maid had no family nor money to support her living; he took her from a pleasure house where she worked.

The king's command had been clear: the children must disappear, their existence a secret. But where? The answer came to him as the carriage passed through the outer bailey, the fresh air carrying the scent of Blackwater Bay. It was then that he decided: The Crag, his ancestral home in the Westerlands. It was remote, fortified, and far from the prying eyes of the court and the world.

With a destination in mind, Harrold set out from King's Landing under the cover of the first lights of the morning that started dissipating the dark night. The journey would be long and arduous, but he would see it done.

Unknown to Harrold, the wet nurse, and even the children, they weren't the only ones inside the carriage. As Rhaegon's presence was there beside them in an ethereal body, having seen all that had transpired since Rhaenyra was seeded, and he wasn't the only one. His wife and mother, Visenya, was there too.

Visenya lamented seeing the little girl's dragon-like looks. She could feel that that little baby was actually her being reborn into a new life, the soul of the Visenya of this world. Only this time, she wasn't Rhaegon's mother, as it was intended, but his sister!

She glanced at her side, where her husband and son, Rhaegon, stood gazing at the babies, his eyes overflowing with emotion. She then reached out and gently touched the little girl's head.

Rhaegon looked at his mother with a raised eyebrow at her actions, seeming to know what she had done. Visenya, meanwhile, smiled at him. He sighed, and a few seconds later, they disappeared.

Their coming and going went unnoticed by the world, except for the eyes of the Gods and one or two others, powerful cockroaches.
