Chapter 4 - 4 Unbelievable…

"Recognized by aesthetic?! That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

He smirked down at her

"What can I say? I'm a man of aesthetics."

"I can tell, genius." She spat sarcastically.

Damien sighed and lightly tapped the gun with his gloved finger.

"Could you move this, please?" He said in a quiet, soft tone. Blinking more than necessary with a pout. Trying to look innocent.

After a moment of reluctance, Juno slowly removed the gun from his throat.

"Don't make me regret it, filth." She hissed.

"Noted…" he said, rubbing his neck here the gun was two seconds ago.

Juno, already knowing the answer, asked regardless.

"Didn't we used to go to the same middle school?"

He nodded slowly, looking a bit sheepish. Like he has something on his mind.

"We did, yes. Until you left, of course."

She nodded in recognition.

"I see…"

Damien looked solumn. His blue eyes saddened for a second before going back to his teasing self.

"There is something I wanted to tell you, Juno. But you left before I got the chance."

Juno raised an eyebrow. It was only natural that she'd be suspicious.

"You? Wanted to tell. Me? Something?" She said dramatically as she pointed between him and herself.

Damien smiled softly. Genuine. He nodded.

"Yes. I do. I have much to tell you, Red-Eyes."

She looked up at him with an annoyed and sarcastic expression.

Damien put his hands up in surrender.

"Right… no more bad nicknames…"

She nodded.

"Good."

"First of all- how's my villain outfit? It's not dirty or anything right?… right?"

Juno blinked, trying to process the absurdity of the question.

"Your kidding me." She looked at him blankly.

"Of course not. Now I want real feedback. Does this make my butt look too big?" He asked as he turned around to show her.

Juno rolled her eyes. Exasperated.

"You look fine." She said with annoyance.

"Just fine?!" He placed a offended hand over his heart.

"Yeah. It's fine." She said with a deadpanned tone.

"Just fine isn't good enough!" He said exasperated as he looked over his villain outfit again.

Juno watched unamused.

"Why do you even care what you look like? You're a villian."

He stared at her with a dumbfounded expression.

"Why do I care?! Why don't you care?!"

She raised an eyebrow

"Why would I care?"

He walked closer to her and gestured to her rather unflashy but practical hero outfit

"You're a hero!" He emphasized like it wasn't obvious. "You're supposed to look good to be motivational… and- uh… you know- stuff."

"Stuff?"

"Uh… yeah!"

"You really aren't that convincing, Azure."

"I know… and you don't have to call me that. I'd like it if you called me by my name." His usual snarky smirk reappearing.

She raised an eyebrow with a scoff.

"And why would I do that?"

"Uh- Because we both know each other? Ever think about that?" He said sarcastically.

He leaned in closer to her.

"Come on! Please? Just say my name." He says with puppy eyes.

"If I say it, will you stop asking me stupid questions?" Juno asked hopeful.

"I promise! No more stupid questions! I swear it!"

Juno sighs and looked him in the eye as she spoke quietly.

"Damien."

He smiled in response.

"See? Was that so hard?" He said leaning in slightly.

"Yes. Yes it was." She said without hesitation.

"Damn your cold…" He said looking slightly disappointed and hurt.

Juno was about to say something else when Damien quickly covered her mouth. She followed his gaze and saw the authorities searching nearby.

"Guess it's time to turn you in- HEY WAIT!" She turned to see Damien running through the alley way. She ran after him.

Damien quickly pulled his hood up and ran through the night. He knew Juno would follow him. So, he might have done something clever… or stupid.

Juno kept running after him. She was close on his trail but a few strides behind.

He turned a corner and she soon turned also.

However, when she turned the corner, she couldn't see him. She slowed down, observing her surroundings carefully. She then heard something behind her.

WHAM!

When she woke up, she found herself in her apartment. She sat up from the bed and groaned.

"What the hell just happened?!"

She then smelled something from the kitchen. She was about to stand up from the bed when Damien came into the bedroom carrying a tray with food and some orange juice. He was also wearing a ridiculous pink apron that said "kiss the cook".

"Wakey wakey~ I made breakfast!" He said, rather proud of his work.

Juno watched as he placed the tray in front of her.

"You went in my kitchen?"

He nodded. "U-huh!"

"And you made me breakfast?…" she said skeptically.

"U-huh!"

"After you knocked me out and brought me home?"

"U-huh!" He thought for a second on whst she was saying and he realized. "Oh… yeah, sorry about that…"

"YOU LITTLE-"

She got up, careful not to knock over the orange juice, ran up to strangle him. And he ran into the living room.

"Waitwaitwait!! Please!! Just hear me out!" He said in a frenzy.

Juno jumped on his back, knocking him to the floor and she pinned him to the ground. He didn't seem to fight back… odd.

"Hear you out?! You knocked me unconscious and brought me home! What are you trying to do?!"

"I panicked! Okay!! I'm sorry!!" He cried out.

"You 'panicked'?! So that makes kidnapping me an okay thing to do?! You son of a- hey WAIT A MINUTE! HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE I LIVE?!"

He froze.

"Uhhh… I searched it up online?…"

"Stop lying, Azure."

"Nu-uh!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'nu-uh'?! How do you know where I live!?!"

He turned his head with a huff.

"Oh, so now you're giving me the silent treatment? Real mature."

After a few minutes of him not talking, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She tied him up in the living room and took his phone from his pocket.

She used a small credit card like gadget she had and figured out the password. She then went through his search history and other documents. Turns out he's not a complete idiot. He looked up the apartments the hero agency had and then narrowed it down from there.

She had to admit, it wasn't a bad strategy to finding information on your enemy… but it did feel a bit stalkerish.

She turned to him, who was still sitting on the floor tied up and pouting.

"You gonna talk? Or keep quiet?" She's willing to give him a chance. This time.

He saw his phone in her hand and sighed. He nodded.

"I guess."

"Good. Now. You said earlier you had something to tell me. Now is the time."

"Fine. I'll tell you. Just… don't say anything about this to the agency or the authorities."

She nods dutifully.

"You have my word. So spill it."
