Chapter 2 - Lunatic

Jugo soon began to think about the current situation.

From memory, Kimimaro had recently arrived and informed him that Orochimaru would soon launch his plan of attack against Konoha.

This made Jugo wonder if he should participate.

The path of the chained, as gentle as it may seem compared to the path of the abyss, is not a gentle path at all.

Especially the low and middle sequences, apart from the prisoner, Jugo's future path was full of death ahead.

An attack on Konoha... it's a good place to act.

But that would have to wait until Kimimaro appeared again. He usually came once or twice a month. He had to prepare rhetoric to convince him. After all, the previous Jugo was a complete homebody, if he could, he would never want to leave.

Sighing, Jugo stopped thinking about it for a while and began to feel his chakra, enjoying the Prisoner state where his control would be greater until he reached the level of a demigod.

As soon as he focused on his chakra, he could feel its power, could sense that he could unleash even stronger power by infusing his body with it, but he held back, after all, it was still acting.

He looked at the wall and stood up, placing one foot on it and began to concentrate.

Even though he hadn't learned any jutsu, Kimimaro had still taught him some control techniques to see if it would help him control himself.

Placing his foot on the wall, he quickly steadied himself and began to climb, soon finding himself upside down on the ceiling.

This was incredibly fascinating to Jugo. He tried using his hands to stick to the ceiling and succeeded even more easily, molding chakra in his hands was much simpler than on the ceiling.

Soon, he was hanging from the ceiling with only his index finger. Sighing, he began to exercise.

As for the reason? He couldn't just stay stuck there doing nothing all the time, right?

He didn't feel the fatigue, so he didn't care and continued.

Using just one finger, he began to raise his entire body with just the strength of his arm, switching arms every now and then. Then he glued the soles of his feet to the ceiling and began doing upside-down sit-ups.

The chakra? Infinite, never stopping replenishing itself, his chakra, as long as he didn't use too much at once, would never run out.

He was a fucking walking battery, but that was precisely the reason for his loss of control.

Jugo practiced until nightfall, punching, kicking, and doing whatever action his limited space allowed.

At the right time, a small opening opened beneath the door and a plate of food was placed inside.

Jugo didn't care and went over to it. It was at this point that he stopped and thought about how he would get to the bathroom. Remembering Jugo's memory, he noticed a bucket in the corner and his mouth twitched.

Damn! He had to get out of here, fast!

Taking a deep breath, he ignored the suspicious bucket and began to eat. The food was ordinary, but not bad. After all, Jugo was a volunteer, he didn't eat the same food as the real test subjects. Besides, he was best friends with Kimimaro, Orochimaru's golden boy.

So, privileged treatment, actually. If he weren't so scared, Orochimaru would have let him out already. But Jugo is a frightened child afraid of killing, so he can only stay trapped.

To put it more bluntly, Jugo was his own prison. Even the current Jugo wants to stay there. Perhaps that's why the prisoner's potion is being digested so quickly.

What are the rules? Just like the basic phrase of this path, the mind is the prisoner of the body, and the body is the prisoner of the world..

He's restraining his madness, so his body is trapping his mind, he's in a prison, so the world is trapping his body.

He basically completed the mantra of this path without even moving.

Did Orochimaru want to arrest Jugo? Maybe so at first, but as a good fighting force, he might be more useful as a subordinate than a test subject. After all, Jugo and his relatives have already been extensively researched by Orochimaru.

Would Jugo leaving cause him problems? Please, Orochimaru's strength can handle a hundred of him. Orochimaru has no problem letting Jugo go.

But the problem from the start lies with Jugo himself.

Now that he wants to leave? Orochimaru won't think too hard before agreeing. Of course, he needs a good reason. A suspicious and cautious individual like Orochimaru would doubt his motives if he simply wanted to leave. After all, Jugo was a confirmed case of a repentant pacifist. Suddenly, he wants to go out and kill?

Even if Orochimaru doesn't doubt that he's still Jugo, he'll think he's lost a few screws.

So, a reason to leave is still necessary, and what better reason than helping his good friend Kimimaro?

Jugo didn't think much of it and endured using the bucket for the next few days. In fact, he even felt that the bucket sped up his digestion process a bit. His level of mental control to avoid becoming enraged by using the bucket was tremendous.

It was on the third day that he felt the sensation throughout his body, that of everything fitting perfectly into place, as if something that was previously only borrowed was now his.

Taking a deep breath, feeling his strength grow from 50% stronger to 100%, he felt great.

He also felt like he could advance at any moment, but this made Jugo wary.

The next step would be the Lunatic.

Of course, the binding ability won't be lost, in fact, it might even be strengthened. But the problem is that he will acquire a curse. The Lunatic's curse makes them even more prone to losing control. If you loosen the binding even slightly, they will fall straight into a state of complete madness.

Of course, compared to the world of LOTM, it's still much better. There's no creator here and the Beyonder materials are clean, so there's no corruption to affect him. But the consequences of going insane aren't low.

Against intelligent people, insane people are their favorite targets. Obito could easily pull him into his dimension, Shimakaru could trick him into a trap, Kakashi could divert his attention and land a Chidori in his chest.

Even more so, if a Lunatic's insanity is 100, the insanity of a Lunatic with Jugo's Kekkei genkai reaches 200 or even more!

Thus, he was wary of advancing, but thinking about his future power, he could only convince himself mentally.

Taking a deep breath, he willed himself to advance and in the next moment, he felt his strength begin to increase.

But the real improvement was the abilities he gained. First, he improved his prisoner's restraint. Even though lunatics lose control easily, abilities that disrupt their thoughts and influence their minds were severely weakened against them.

If Jugo had to guess, it meant his madness was his own, others couldn't influence his mind, only himself.

In this world, generally speaking, he increased his resistance to genjutsu, but he highly doubts he could resist someone like Itachi.

The other ability he gained was Berserker.

Sacrifice rationality for power.

Simple and straightforward, this doesn't weaken his mental resilience, but a raging bull is still a raging bull.

In this world, this ability leaves much to be desired.

As mentioned before, most ninjas fight with intelligence, so unless he's a meat shield like a tailed beast or a Taijutsu ninja who'd happily fight head-on like Guy and Lee, he'll only die faster if he uses this.

The real irritation came from the fact that he felt his restraint had become much looser.

Before, he had a heavy, thick gate that was difficult to close or open. Now the gate was lubricated, and while it still prevented him from leaving, once opened, the gate opened wide!

Feeling his current strength, he felt he could defeat ten of them before advancing.

Of course, it might be an exaggeration, but considering ten of them are guys who advance with fists and feet, it might be possible.

Shrugging, he began to think, Should he let himself go mad to start acting?

If he does that, he'll probably destroy the entire northern base, but staying here without being able to advance for too long is a waste, he really wishes Kimimaro would come soon!
