Chapter 9 - Dango

I know the MC seems like he'll pick up any woman he sees that's even remotely attractive, but that's not the case. It's part of the personality I gave him because of the potion.

I believe the Path of the Chained Potion amplifies its users' desires and emotions, but because the prisoner's bond grows stronger with each sequence, this doesn't show.

The MC in his current state can control this, but he doesn't see the point, so what he's doing now is just having some fun. To be honest, I don't even know if Anko, Kin or anyone else will end up with him. They could even die along the way, anyone could.

So for those who like Pokémon harems, sorry, this isn't that kind of book.

For those who like serious MCs that focus purely on power, sorry again, this isn't that kind of book either.

Jugo paused for a moment, he swore the test would be right after! All that murderous desire was pent up inside him!

With a tired sigh, he groaned in frustration, but he could only swallow his bloodlust and get up to leave the room.

Dosu and Kin stood up right after him. They waited, and when he passed them, they followed.

Ibiki's eyes remained on him, but he wasn't the only one. There were many eyes on him, including Sasuke, Neji, Gaara, Kabuto...

Especially Kabuto, who was a little confused by his intervention, but this wasn't the time to ask about that.

Jugo left the room without a care, followed by the hunchbacked Dosu, expressionless, and Kin still a little apprehensive about the attention.

But Jugo's next words broke Dosu's defense. - Come on, I feel like eating some sweets.

Dosu wanted to run away, but he didn't dare. Kin's look at him from beside him assured him she was watching his escape. He'd done this before and she'd paid for it herself, she wouldn't make the same mistake.

Dosu sighed, resolving to at least take some for himself this time.

As the group walked away, Jugo stopped for a moment and looked at a tree. - Are you going to keep following us?

Dosu and Kin's eyes narrowed and they assumed a fighting stance facing the tree.

Even though Jugo's chakra senses are terrible, his physical senses are quite good!

So he easily noticed the approach.

The next moment, a "large" figure with purple hair stopped in front of them with a smile.

-Hey, brat, I didn't like the look on your face earlier. - Anko played with a kunai and licked the edge lightly.

Jugo stared at the woman for a moment, before focusing on... her "heart" again.

-Your heart is beautiful. - Jugo gave a thumbs-up, unconcerned.

He doesn't know if it's because of the potion he drank, but he feels like he's become too direct and with his evil thoughts at the surface, his desires and emotions have basically become more prominent.

The only difference is that he can choose to let them out or not.

So, when Anko appeared now, he didn't feel embarrassed, but admired her even more directly.

Kin beside him is beautiful, but her body leaves something to be desired compared to Anko's and the fishnet blouse she was wearing make everything even more arousing.

Anko's lips curved into an even more predatory smile as she noticed his lack of shame.

She didn't mind his gaze much, she was used to it, if she did, she wouldn't wear that kind of outfit.

What made her curious about Jugo was Ibiki's clear look of irritation. After asking a friend of his who was an examiner, she realized what had happened.

This boy had essentially significantly increased the number of examinees who passed the first test.

The question was, why?

Anko's curiosity grew like a cat scratching at her heart.

So she decided to take a closer look at him, but she hadn't imagined this boy would see through her so easily.

-Have they ever told you you're a cheeky fellow? - Anko narrowed her eyes, lifting her chest slightly, making it sway, enjoying his reaction.

Jugo still stared intently at them and shook his head. - No, but I've been called much worse.

It may have seemed flirtatious, but it wasn't. The previous Jugo killed many people... monster, murderer, madman... he had many titles.

-You're quite a character, kid. - Anko shook her head, putting away her kunai. It would be problematic to act against a team from another village right now, she didn't want to spark a conflict between countries out of curiosity.

Jugo looked at her and walked over to her. Anko watched him, standing still as he passed her. It wasn't until he was next to her that he stopped. Without turning around, he asked. - Let's go get some sweets, any recommendations?

Anko raised an eyebrow, liking the boy's style more and more.

-Sure, I know the best dango shop in Konoha, want me to take you? - Anko winked at him sideways.

Jugo turned his head to look at her and smiled. -I'd love to.

Anko laughed lightly. - Funny boy, well, follow me. - She turned and started walking away.

If it weren't for the windbreaker, Jugo would have liked to see her butt wiggle.

Behind them, Dosu and Kin glanced at each other in surprise before quickly following.

Kin looked a little unhappy as she looked at Anko and Dosu found the situation problematic.

Jugo, on the other hand, didn't really think he'd get along this time. This world is based on Japan. Even if Anko seems a bit lewd with that outfit and way of speaking, she's probably still a virgin. Most men and women in this world, especially ninjas, are virgins until marriage.

Of course, this is just being generic and may not be true, but for ninjas who are always busy training or on missions, it's even harder to have a relationship. Even if they are, they're basically very secretive about it before marriage.

Like Asuma and Kurenai.

So he knew the chance of getting together with Anko today was close to zero, and he didn't want to waste his time, he just followed her in search of something to eat and enjoy the view.

Of course, Jugo wasn't stupid and knew Kin behind him might be happy if he went to her, but she was weak and Jugo was at a difficult stage in his journey. What would he do if he lost control and strangled her to death during the act?

He didn't want to explain to Orochimaru why his teammate was dead, covered in bodily fluids.

So, he gave up on trying anything with Kin, at least for now.

Anko took the trio to a dango shop that looked very ordinary, but as soon as Dosu bought them some, Jugo realized they were actually quite good.

Japanese sweets are typically less sweet, but the upside is that you can eat more without getting sick.

So Jugo was quite happy eating.

-Here, this is my favorite, with Anko's paste. - Anko handed him a dango, delighted to share her love of dango with the others.

Jugo smiled and winked at her. -Are you offering me Anko to eat?

Saying this, he picked up the dango with his teeth and took a soft bite, winking at her.

Anko laughed directly and wasn't the least bit shy. -You cheeky brat, stick to the regular dangos, kid, you can't handle Anko.

Jugo rolled his eyes as he finished his meal with another bite.

Jugo soon found himself having fun talking to her. Anko kept a distance from his banter, not really paying attention to them.

Not close, nor distant. If he were just any guy, Anko could eat all his money, then pat herself on the ass and run away.

Unfortunately for her, he has no money and above all, he doesn't really expect anything from her.

It's like fishing for the sake of fishing. Cast the hook and bait and relax. If you catch something? Fine, if not? Fine too.

Of course, even if he did, he wouldn't accept it now. The same problem as Kin, he would end up killing Anko during the encounter.

He thinks he'll have to wait until he becomes a zombie to control himself, but if his body smells like a corpse, he doesn't think Anko will want to try.

Maybe Wraith?

Who knows, for now he's just taking it in stride.

Jugo ate and chatted with Anko while Dosu pretended not to see and Kin looked at Anko, clearly irritated.

Anko noticed the kin's gaze and winked at her. She even hugged Jugo's arm, rubbing it against her prominent breasts and looked at Kin with clear provocation.

Kin gritted her teeth and ate the dangos irritably.

Jugo just watched, unconcerned. He wasn't ugly, but he was strong and had an air that bordered on casualness and indifference.

So, attracting the opposite sex wasn't unusual.

But while Kin appreciated his strength, because in the Sound Village, strength is beauty, Anko was just joking.

She was already over twenty and didn't think it would work out with Jugo, not to mention that they were from different villages.

At most, she could have been having fun while extracting information.

Of course, if she had known he was connected to Orochimaru, this interaction would have been very different, the kind involving snakes and blades.
