Chapter 3 - [3] The Date and Class

'Your nightmare is over.'

☐NIGHTMARE☐OVER☐

☐S☐E☐E☐E☐Y☐O☐U☐S☐O☐O☐N☐

[Wake up.]

'Must've been a painful dream. You're crying.'

[Wiping off your tears, It's 5 pm.]

'Nothing bad happened. Nice, the shortening of quirk usage works in practice.'

'Get dressed, it's money-making time! And take your bag with you.'

'Yes, decompress and have fun, last night was not good for your mental. I estimate the acceptance letter will come in a week.'

'Oh boy, let's play some games! Eat delicious food! The dream!'

[Getting up from bed, you take a shower and get dressed. You also take a handbag with a formal outfit.]

'For now, casual as always, shorts and a tee. No skinsuit this time.'

'Oh, mama~ and papa~ are here, introduce yourself.'

[Walking around the house, you spot your parents eating dinner.]

'Fish, rice, kimchi, veg-pancake, oh and some cold noodles.'

'Get our own food. You provide for yourself. Your housing is just payment for their negligence.'

'Smile. Make them happy. Let them have their son back.'

[Looking at them, you smile, "Hey mom. Hey dad."]

'Hm? There not looking at you…pathetic.'

'Stop it. They're not happy today, don't push it.'

'A flying object launches towards you. Quick catch it.'

[Without warning, dad tosses a coin purse at you. You can see its trajectory, so you easily catch it.]

'Hey! At least pops is happy.'

[You grin at your pops, "Thanks, dad." You look towards mom, "Sorry, have a good day." You take a gentle bow and leave the house.]

'Weight…48 grams, from the sound…ten ¥100 coins.'

[Taking a stroll through the residential district, you find a tune to whistle to. It's melancholy. Bittersweet.]

'What a nice melody.'

[You take a great look at the grand skies.]

'Oranges, peaches, and plums. Swirls of magnificent blends, colors turn into pastel, wet chalk on a worldly canvas. Beauty in the…Beauty in the small things in life, it…fills you with determination…hope…and love.'

'It's a lovely day for a walk.'

[Humming, you step with a slow pace, gently swaying to the flows of the wind. It really is a nice day.]

[Shifting from the residential neighborhood, the city opens up to a bustling atmosphere.]

'Let's go to the arcades!'

[Stepping slowly with the rhythm of passerby's movements, you slowly reach an inner-district full of arcade machines.]

'Wild lights, and pop music surrounds you. It's neon glow illuminates the district in pink and blue. With the dimming skies, the vibrance of the colors deepens and provides a playful little world.'

'You can see couples, hugging by the shoulder, holding bags of little nic-naks they won. Friends; girls laughing, leaning onto each other, and boys yelling in unison winning a small plushie. Children run in little groups, holding capsules and little figurines of heroes. Even older businessmen playing on a crane game, and an old man sitting on a bench nearby.'

[Walking to a crane game store, you can spot big, hero plushies and mascots.]

'Hm, which one…Edgeshot, the no.5 hero; Mt. Lady, she's new; Kamui Woods, no.7 hero; Ryukyu, no.9 hero; Gang Orca, no.10 hero; Endeavor, no.2 hero; and All Might, no.1 hero. At least in Japan.'

'You hear a whisper, "…Get them all. Take them out of me." The crane machine's light flicker a bit, and the music stops for a second.'

'Deft fingers and remarkable precision is your infallible curse, use it wisely, or you'll be taking everything this world offers.'

[Silently praying to the machine, you give the crane machine a few taps and rubs, then finally inserting a ¥100 coin. The lights blare on, and a new soundtrack of a tension-filled tune plays.]

[Holding the stick, you deftly aim it towards the middle where a few tags with holes punched through them stick out. With precision, you press the lowering button and the claw goes down.]

[You tap you fingers on the console plate, and something amazing happens, the 4-pronged claw, hooks into 4 holes and picks another up by the other four plushies squeezing it.]

'The grip on the claw is tighter than normal, and it moves without wobbling. The machine spoke and followed through.'

[Emptying the contents, you obtain, 1 All Might, 2 Gang Orcas, 1 Kamui Woods, and 1 Ryukyu in dragon form.]

'Nice. It always feels good to win.'

[Grabbing a large bag, you stuff in the plushies. They're of considerable size, 11 inches tall each, they quickly fill the bag full. You now carry two bags, a handbag and a large thick-plastic bag.]

'Alright, sooner or later, it's time to offload this stuff.'

'Boys, girls, men, women. You spot a couple of girls outside, around 17 years-old, walking and laughing.'

'They walk at a slow pace around the district. Through speech and body pattern, they lost a few coins on games. Two of them wear pins all over their jacket, and one of them has a mini-plushie key chain on their phone.'

'Be casual, and charismatic, don't be a salesman, be an average guy.'

[Spotting a few girls outside, you gingerly walk out of the store with the bag in your hand.]

'Oh, even better, they're interested in you.'

[You take a little pause looking elsewhere, and one of them looks at you whispering to her friends. After a second, they start giggling and lightly pushing each other.]

'Now's the perfect time.'

[Taking a step, you move your gaze towards them and then to the street beyond them and walk closer.]

[After a little bit, you're pretty close, so you take a glance at them and then pause.]

'Now they're looking at you.'

[One has black hair in a bun with a long pin, another has a dark-green pixie cut with patterns of white colored hair, the last has red fluffy long hair. They're cute.]

'Pixie-cut is interested, but Black-bun and Red-fluffy are shy and want to hide their expression. You experience their bubbly feelings, and heating faces, the heart slightly pounding, a feeling of being seen, not wanting yet wanting. A desire to just be yourself, to express the feelings held inside, an insurmountable anxiety that shouldn't be there, but it is. Such feelings are forgotten and pushed aside once they pass, but you can't help but regret not dealing with them. Be happy, be in love, be good. You understand, it's not ego, you're 6'7, muscular, and stunningly handsome. If you saw Mirko, the rabbit hero, you'd likely feel the same way. But it's how you deal with it that differs.'

[Smiling gently, you walk towards them.]

[Black-bun and red-fluffy hide their face with hands, the pixie-cut looks at you with curiosity.]

'Funny, she's looking at me like a squirrel.'

[You speak up, "Hey. I… noticed you were looking at me." Gentle smile, "Would you like this?" You give her a Ryukyu plushie, "I thought you may like it."]

'Pixie-cut's demeanor is that most similar to a Ryukyu fan, she'd likely appreciate it more than you.'

[Pixie-cut purses her lips a little and accepts the plushie, hugging it a little, looking at it for a bit then back to you, "Um. He~ Oh~ …what's your name?" She mutters a little, swaying her left leg slightly.]

'The other girls are blushing, looking both at you and Pixie-cut. You can also silently hear them patting Pixie-cut in admiration and jealousy.'

'It is admirable.'

[You chuckle a bit, "Oh Dae-Gon, future hero."]

'In curiosity, the three girls look at you deeper.'

[Red-fluffy speaks up, "eeh~ Hero?" Not condescending, in genuine interest.]

[A bright smile lights up on your face, "Yes. A hero… I just took the entrance exam at U.A." A little pause, "The acceptance letter will arrive in a week or so."]

'Their eyes widen a bit.'

[Red-fluffy questions, "Oh, U.A.! How did you do?"]

'Honesty is the best policy. The genuine smiles and interest is payment enough.'

[You can't help but grin, "I think I broke U.A. record."]

'Your voice carries honesty. There is no reason to distrust you. You've shown that your gentle, kind, and confident. There is no indication of trickery, no sense of a predator, no ulterior motives, just a genuine, honest guy. More so, it's even humble, admirable, heroic, words can't describe the security that comes from you. You're not a poser, scam artist, player, or sinister, there is no indication of lies, they are perceptive enough to pick up on it. That perception comes with relief, then trust.'

[All three voice out, "Really?" They know you spoke the truth, it's just surprising.]

[You smile bright, "Yep! I'm going to be a hero…and I'm going to aim to be the number one hero."]

'They look at you in awe, like looking at the number one hero in the flesh.'

'I don't like it. It feels icky, try to tone it down. You are a hero, not for money or fame, but for the smiles and laughter.'

[Looking at them, "Now now~…don't look at me like that. I'm not even a hero yet!" Chuckling.]

'A smile makes its way to their faces. Comfort. They feel like you're a good person, down-to-earth, and consider you hero material.'

[Red-fluffy chimes, "I believe in you! You can do it."]

[Black-bun comments, "Me too…']

[Pixie-cut nods in agreement.]

'Warmth. How nice. This feeling is why you're becoming a hero. Hope. Hope for all.'

[Weighted by conviction, you smile gently, "Mhm. Thank you, it means a lot." After a little pause, you look at them, "In the future, look out for the hero, 'DIO.' I have a great memory, I'll recognize you." Signaling a goodbye.]

'A hint of sadness in their minds. They want to know you more, but your path is of the hero. You know ahead of you is a treacherous journey. Tensions rise and villains will rise up. More and more keep sprouting under the neglect of the country. It is a hero's responsibility to correct it, but it takes a world to do so.'

[A little dejected, but hyper, they say their goodbyes too.]

'A complex emotion it is, of love. What does it quantitate to? Does it have weight, matter, measurements? Why does it mean so much. Why does it costs so little if losing it is so costly. It's like a scam. A honey trap you don't want to leave. Having a dream of loving and being loved so deeply, but it becoming a fading memory while the feelings still linger. Such is life. As the saying goes, 'Woe is me.' So is love.'

[Waving goodbye, you walk your own way.]

'Time for the real games.'

[You step into an open-wall store with UFO catchers.]

'Info: UFO catchers often feature more advanced mechanics and a wider range of prizes, such as figurines and high-value items."

'You spot a UFO catcher with a limited-edition figurine of swimsuit Midnight with arms behind her head, and spread-out legs.'

'Although the adrenaline, BDNF, and testosterone from exercise is great, some oxytocin and prolactin from masturbation is recommended. But don't worry about it, at least…not with a figurine.'

'Someone is currently playing. An anthropomorphic tree man, is desperately trying to win the figurine.'

[Spotting a limited-edition midnight figurine, and a person gunning for it, you walk up to them. He's cylindrical tree-like man covered in bark, with a green afro hair.]

[Stepping to the side of their peripheral vision, "Hey, if you let me try, and I get it, I'll give it to you for ¥5000."]

'He's desperate, he'll cave. He probably already spent ¥10,000 on it.'

[He side glances at you, grumbling through is bark mouth, "Aw'h, Gid' it a'h shah't." Relinquishing control.]

'He said, "Ah, give it a shot."'

'The machine purrs for you, lights flickering in excitement, unbeknownst to outsiders. You lightly brush your fingers on its edges, 'baby, I'm gonna make you so happy.' It flutters in embarrassment but allows you to continue. Stepping up in front, you slowly, press down on the buttons, up…right….down….left… It quickens it's music, and the lights blink a little. Then, reaching, you handle the joystick with gentle ease, grasping its knob and running the tips of your fingers along the hard metal stick, it's light glow a little brighter, For the finisher, you slowly pull, down, then up…down…then up….firming your grip, tightening, down…up….down…up…the machine's lights glow to you in a blinding flash for a second and then recovers. It's ready to reciprocate.'

[After doing some testing with the controls, you insert 5 ¥100 coins. Lights blinking and game music playing, the two-pronged, denser claw moves with your direction. Two seemingly tricky rubber bands hold up the figurine box.]

[But with your adept knowledge, you perfectly aim it's pincer to knock it around. And, miraculously, the sudden strength of the claw's move easily knocks it over, falling into the slot below.]

[Grabbing it from the underside of the machine, you look at the tree man, who's impressed, but slightly peeved.]

[He looks at you inquisitively, "…Dee'd ja'h yuu'se a qu'airk o' sumt'mn?"]

'He said, "…Did you use a quirk or something?"'

[You look at him, "Nah, if I did, the supervisor would come and stop me."]

'Info: Camera's litter this place due to people misusing their quirks for prizes. If they spot a cheater, they record it and send it to the police for using a quirk in public, illegal and no less doing a crime. But the camera's AI looks at the space inside and outside of the machine, not the machine itself. Besides, even if an interfacing quirk were to use a machine like this, it wouldn't be able to exert any extra force due to a sensor inside telling what force it's using, they'd be spotted instantly. Your quirk is irregular, literally influencing reality to act on your whims, small whims, but whims, nonetheless. They cannot spot what is not wrong.'

[The tree man nods a bit and then hands you a ¥5000, happily taking the figurine, and walks away.]

'He made a good deal, that kind of figurine would go for at least ¥50,000.'

'You don't think he'll sell it though…maybe keep it in a jar or something.'

'Well, this is the easiest way to make quick money. Now, we just move stores and keep accruing cash.'

[Making some quick money, you move on to a different store and keep making quick deals with people, some of whom recognize you and ask for a certain figurine from a machine.]

[Meeting new people, you give away some plushies as a good gesture, and to keep things silent. If the owners knew how good you were, they'd band together and ban you. But you don't allow for more than four wins from each store, keeping deals separate from other deals.]

[From getting out at 6pm, it is now 9pm. During the 3 hours, you've made ¥183,000, a considerable amount of money around ~1200 USD.]

[No scams, no bad deals, happy people, and a little less money in the corporations. Your actions are just a flash in the pan, nothing to worry about.]

'It's time for food, you've been hungry for a while, and while starvation is nothing, proper nutrients and sustenance is required.'

'Fancy! Fancy! Style is where it's at, be prim, proper, cool~'

[With nothing but your handbag, you head into a bathroom stall. You quickly change into a full formal suit and put on dress shoes.]

'Yes~ That look, it screams, "Kowtow before me! Don't disrespect me, I have connections with my papa's associates… 'Hm? You know the owner? Humph, my dad owns the owner! Now crawl on all fours and bark!" The potential drama is palpable. Stunning.'

[Walking out, you resemble a rich young master of a wealthy corporation.]

[With a high-end restaurant already in mind, you casually walk towards the richer part of the city.]

'Quieter, nicer paved roads, each brick lacquered black and gold, with hedges that are dense. You near a hero restaurant hot-spot, "Golden Palace," A tall, 50 story onyx tower that has golden Chinese hip roofs that make it look like a tower of pavilions. The golden protrusions are massive, held in place with steel purlins. As the pavilion roofs reach the top, a large top with the crest, "Gold," is inscribed. It's a marvel of construction and gaudy design.'

'Term: Purlins, the horizontal bars or beams that support building structures, particularly the roofing system.'

[The "Golden Palace," a high-end restaurant that serves the rich, and proudly a hero hot-spot where many top heroes go to, especially often Kamui Woods, who endorses the place. It's a bit…odd, but the reason to go there is because there is no reservations needed. You just stop by, eat great food, then pay an enormous amount, and go on your way, which is why heroes like going here as villains always interrupt dinner, and a high-end reservation is not easy.]

'They successfully carved a niche into the high-end restaurant market, targeting wealthy heroes. Smart. Though the sacrifice is that vagrants like yourself can wander in. But, as long as you look good, they don't have much grounds to deny service. And statistically, you're overly handsome, you look like a beefed-out K-pop idol. They'd pay you to eat there for an appearance contract. People might think you must have a transformation quirk to look so handsome, which is not wrong or correct.'

[Confidently, you walk to the massive, gilded doors where an authentic French 'maître d'hôtel' in a black suit greets you, "Welcome sir. Right this way." Opening the door for you.]

'Terminology: French term, Maître d'hôtel, head waiter, "front of the house," who greets and seats guests. Their purview is also supervising other wait-staff.'

'The "Maître d'hôtel" or right now, your guide, is a French foreigner, from his looks to the accent, you can ascertain he's an actual Frenchman, who's at least trilingual from a phonetic analysis.'

[On black-and-gold velvet carpet, You nod and follow him in.]

'Darkness and shadows strike vivid pictures on the wall as the lighting is dim and purposefully curated for an atmosphere of secrecy and grandeur. The feeling is that of being the Grand Heavenly Demon Clan Master of an unorthodox clan, stepping with elegance and power, servants willing to die at any whim, leading you towards your throne. The splatters of shade have jagged edges that resemble blades, and the tiny holes in the wall loom forwards with sharp tips.'

'Walking the tall hall, flowing past, you can hear the music of moving water that calmly streams in hidden half-pipes that create a slow trickling water effect, gently calming anyone inside.'

'Hairs of your arm stand as a subtle shift of temperature makes itself known. A constant gentle breeze that doesn't dry the eyes but cools the skin. Pulling the attention onto the self, it makes you feel, more.'

[From the grand entrance, the hallway's atmosphere shifts and is of worthy praise.]

'Although hard to notice, the hallway is slightly inclined up.'

[Following the guide, he steps with slow methodical thought, leading you straight to the second floor, where a view of the outside, tinted black, can be seen. Five large elevators are ahead in the room, all open, with an elevator attendant in each. Large, unworldly white plants separate the elevators, fauna of large leaves, but uncommon black flowers bloom inside little pouches of white leaf spreads.]

'You notice the guide give a subtle signal by making eye contact. You understand that if the guide doesn't look at them in the eyes, they'd send the elevator to the VIP lounge.'

[Walking into the elevator with the guide, the operator presses one of the only two buttons, gold and white, he presses the gold one.]

[After a long minute, the elevator opens up to another but wider hallway, where the guide leads you to a massive open doorway.]

'The large doors and elevators in here are for larger mutant quirk heroes. You're 6'7, even without a tall mutation, if this was a normal restaurant, you'd hit your head.'

[Inside is a segregated dining hall, with many tables and sitting arrangements. There is also a casual open bar that has a few folks sitting in. Respectfully, the guide leads you to a table next to the windows, where the entire city can be seen, around 47 floors up, few other buildings are this high up. From far, far, far away, you can see the massive circle of a hill that is U.A. High Schools's building and facilities.]

'From here, the U.A. campus is massive, it looks like it runs miles out in a circle. 47 floors high, in the center of Musutafu city, 13 miles away, ~3.5 miles outwards diameter, even with enhanced vision, you can see it just as a sweep across the landscape, very barely making out the glass building of U.A. High School. All you mainly see is the forest of supposed "ground gamma." It is larger than New York's central park in length and width.'

'There are a few people dining here, It's 9pm, right after the peak hours, so the majority of patrons are done.'

[Seated, you speak in French, "Je voudrais le menu, s'il vous plaît."

'Translated: I'll have the menu, please.'

[Without hesitation, he passes you a menu card, "Vous parlez très bien français."]

'Translated: You speak French very well.'

[Looking at the menu, "Merci beaucoup, j'ai appris le français grâce à un bon ami."]

'Translated: Thank you very much, I learned French thanks to a good friend.'

[Smiling at you, Ah~, ça doit être un très bon ami.]

'Translated: Ah, he must be a very good friend.'

[Finding everything you wanted, you look at him, "Oui…"]

'Translated: Yes…'

[Noticing that you're done looking, "Avez-vous fait votre choix?" You nod, so he says, "Commençons par les hors-d'œuvre ?"]

'Translated: Have you made your choice? Shall we start with the appetizers?'

["Oui. Je voudrais le nigiri Uni & Caviar, le tataki de bœuf de Kobe et la soupe aux champignons matsutake, s'il vous plaît."]

'Translated: "Yes. I would like the Uni & Caviar Nigiri, the Kobe Beef Tataki, and the Matsutake Mushroom Soup, please."]

["Très bien, monsieur. Et pour vos plats de sashimi?"]

'Translated: Very well, sir. And for your sashimi dishes?'

["Je vais prendre le plateau de sashimi Omakase et le duo de crabe royal et d'oursin."]

'Translated: I'll have the Omakase sashimi platter and the king crab and sea urchin duo.'

["Excellents choix. Et pour les plats principaux?"]

'Translated: Excellent choice. What about the main courses?'

'You notice some people looking at you. They seem fairly impressed by your demeanor and fluency.'

["Steak Wagyu A5, cuit à point, et morue noire marinée au miso."]

'Translated: The A5 Wagyu Steak, medium-rare, and the Miso-Marinated Black Cod.'

["Compris. Y a-t-il des accompagnements?"]

'Translated: Understood. Are there any side dishes?'

["Oui, apportez-moi le riz aux truffes et aux ormeaux et le plateau de tempura de saison."]

'Translated: Yes, please bring the truffle and abalone rice and the seasonal tempura platter.'

["Bien sûr. Et pour le dessert?"]

'Translated: Of course. And for dessert?'

["Je prendrai les wagashi à la feuille d'or et le trio de desserts au yuzu et au matcha. Veuillez m'apporter la sélection de thés haut de gamme pour les accompagner."]

'Translated: I'll have the gold leaf wagashi and the trio of yuzu and matcha desserts. Please bring me the selection of premium teas to accompany them.'

[Take a short bow, "Certainement, monsieur. Je veillerai à ce que tout soit servi dans l'ordre."]

'Translated: Certainly, sir. I will ensure that everything is served in order.'

[You nod, "Merci beaucoup."]

'Translated: Thank you very much.'

["Bon appétit." He takes the menu and leaves towards a back room.]

'Translated: Enjoy your meal.'

[You sit there and wait a bit. French was a language you briefly searched up online years ago, you were reminded of it when Aoyama spoke French.]

'A sixth sense notices that a few people are talking about you. Particularly a family sitting a little ways next to you. Although the room is dim and heavily sound-proofed, the sound of natural conversation caught the ears of distinguished patrons. And to be honest, although you're big, you still give a youthful energy. If you weren't 15, they'd think you're at least 18. Still a considerable feat to be fluent and confident in ordering in a foreign language.'

'You estimate that the wait time to be at least 15 minutes, quite fast compared to most restaurants, but this restaurant hires mainly quirk-based cooks. They even have a TV show called "Kitchen Heroes," where they record their chef selection processes. Some things never change, and well, a good formula doesn't need to.'

'Something catches your attention, a girl is walking up to you.'

[After a few moments, you notice a girl from the family talking about you before, walking towards your table.]

'A young woman has a long near-ankle, pale lime dress that cinches neatly at waist. She has dark-black hair, styled in an updo that spikes outwards like a blooming flower. Her eyes are quite sharp, and a few key golden jewelry wed her hair and neck. Standing on a fair, balanced, white high-heel, her outer appearance signals dignified intelligence.'

[She has black hair and is wearing a light-green dress, very beautiful, and intelligent looking.]

'Insight tells you she's nervous and is doing this slightly against her will. But...as a father's girl, she'll do what he recommends, out of wanting praise, but also of respect. Clearly she's not particularly interested in you, while you're attractive to her, she's more interested in her father's interest in you, but something tells you not about your linguistic abilities. This thought leads you to deeper insights that her father must be a very smart person and has determined that you'd be a good person to be friends with, not out of skill alone, but a calculated analysis of your personality and appearance, revealing a hidden younger age as such that of his own daughter. You surmise, he's come to a correct conclusion, knowing you probably enrolled to U.A. Hmm...yes…it makes sense now, U.A., his daughter's high school, and that you will be in the same hero course…yes. With such an illogical leap, an intelligence quirk is quite daunting if not for your own. You understand that the people at the top are the ones with intelligence, especially the one you are most apprehensive of, Principal of U.A. High School, Nezu, a not very well-known quirk holder, but a case of an animal having a quirk, and no less, it's super intelligence.'

[You glance her way and prepare for a conversation. She's probably interested in something.]

[She initiates, "Hello sir, I can't but comment that your French is very fluent."]

'A nice simple comment, she's trying to butter you up. Counter!'

[You smile softly, "Thank you, you're dress is quite beautiful."]

'A comment on the dress, and not her, keep it distant for now. Now…show some wit.'

[You quickly say, nonchalantly, "You're father told you to come here, didn't he?"]

'She's caught off guard! Now, before she can regret it, pull her in.'

[She gets little stunned, so you speak again, "Well. He's not wrong in doing so~ I am going to U.A. too."]

'Double caught off guard! Again, again.'

[From her genuinely shocked expression, you continue, "Having such an intelligent father, you must also be just as~." Chuckling a little, "Hm~? Tell me, what do you want to know? I'll tell you, you know. I'm very~ honest."]

'She's visibly shaken a little but surprisingly calms down quickly.'

[She speaks, starting with a light cough to her fist, "Ahem...Yes. Since you…already know." She take pause, then speaks with more gusto, "Since I didn't see you in the special recommendation exam, you must've been in the standard hero exam, am I correct?"]

'Hm~ she's quite bold. Such an assumption, while not hard to surmise, it takes confidence to even voice it out.'

'You remember that there are very few people who are recommended, she must have a powerful quirk, and connections.'

[You grin a little, "Bingo~ do you want to know what happened?"]

[She nods, "My father's associates who's children couldn't get recommended had reported that an incident happened in one of the exam locations."]

'This time you're caught off guard. Incident, did such a thing happen? What could've happened, there wasn't any deaths right? Many supervisors and hero Recovery Girl was there…'

'Information: No such incident can be remembered on the date of February 26. No meaningful deaths, births, or events except the exams occurred. Ask for more information, unknown variables are not practical.'

[Tilting your head, "Mh? I was there, and no incident happened."]

[She thinks a bit, "Hmm… I think it was about massive explosions and super loud noises…like, something ear shattering."]

'Oh...ohhhh. Hmm. I see…that…was you…but…wh-☐I☐T☐W☐A☐S☐Y☐O☐U☐Y☐E☐S☐?'

[You playfully tap your forehead in simple forgetfulness, "Ah, yeah, I remember now. …That was me."]

'Her brows furrow a bit, a little shocked and worried, but believes you.'

[She frowns, "That was you?" Sighs, "My father keeps getting complaints that their child couldn't score points from fear of a villain attack."]

'Hmm. You can understand that a bit, but either way that's not hero material.'

'Her father must be head of a team or very influential to have so many complaints to worry about.'

[You put on a sort of blank face, "Well, the exam was to weed out cowards and find heroes. If they couldn't withstand noise and vibrations in fear, then against villains they're a liability. I knew what I was doing…and it didn't harm anyone." Flatly.]

'Looking at her, her frown is there in place for her father, she doesn't really mind.'

[Her expression lightens, "Mh. I was just voicing my father's annoyance. We agree with your testament."]

[You, slightly curious, "How was your exam?"]

[She thinks for a bit, then sits down across the table, "Hmm, the exams were quite rough for me." She taps the table]

[Waiting for your approval, for which you nod. She speaks up, "First there was a written exam, that one was simple, but the practical was a 3-kilometer marathon through an obstacle course."]

[She sternly talks, "There was absolutely no sense in the course, a long leap and flame throwers, bridges over mountains, rocks on a river, tight ropes, spiral walks, castles, explosions, and even a roller-coaster ride. It really made me question what U.A. is really about."]

[You chuckle lightly, "Really? How'd you do?"]

[Taking a sigh, "I did fairly well, but other groups before me had very strong quirks."]

[With less confidence, "One examinee, 23, had cryokinesis against an aerokinesis examinee, 41, which the 41-guy won by a hair. And, in my case, I was against a very strong lizard girl, who could split her body parts and control them remotely through the air." Another deep sigh, "I am the number one recommended by the U.A. board, but…that might just be because I did really well on the written and interview parts of the exam…"]

'She's mindlessly saying her mind, so you just earnestly listen.'

'Number one is incredible. She will probably be in your class.'

[The French waiter appears and then places down a tea tray with two porcelain cups, "Thé Makaibari haut de gamme servi chaud, offert par la maison."]

'Translated: Premium Makaibari tea served hot, complimentary.'

[The waiter smiles at you, bows a little, and walks back to their room.]

'At the mention of the name brand, "Makaibari" she visibly becomes interested. You ascertain she loves this brand.'

[The girl looks at you, "Did that satisfy your curiosity?"]

[You look at her, "Yes, yes. It's very interesting, your exam. I didn't really check for anyone else's quirks…I sort of just, you know, made a ruckus." You smile, "Tea?"]

[She looks at the tea tray, then at her parents sitting at a table close by, "…premium Makaibari, right?"]

'From a rich family, she knows French herself.'

[Grabbing a porcelain cup, you set it near her. Taking the mini tea kettle, you pour her a drink, then setting your own cup and pouring one for yourself. You smile and gesture 'help yourself,' and then suggest, "Let me tell you what happened during my exam." You give a slight pause and smirk, "It's only fair."]

'She's drawn in and only slightly hesitates. She must really like this tea and perhaps would like to keep this conversation going. You understand that her parents are only staying for her and you, since they've ordered another dessert course.'

[She nods to your proposal, but first, you need to say the 'elephant in the room,' "Well, first, before I tell you about my exam…What's your name?"]

[Her eyebrows raise, "Oh I completely forgot, pardon me, where are my manners." Reaching out for a handshake, "My name is Momo Yaoyorozu."]

'Momo Yaoyorozu? Momo referring to peach, and Yaoyorozu, 8 million, or referencing the number of Shinto gods, which there are too many of. Maybe she has some sort of godly-adjacent power?'

[You shake her hand firm, "Pleasure to meet you Yaoyorozu-san, My name is Oh Dae-Gon, but, please, refer to my first name, Dae." Letting go.]

[She puts her hand back to her lap, "Likewise, pleasure to meet you, Dae-san."]

'She seems engrossed in high society, it's refreshing. The casuals you've met have had no elegance.'

[You smile, "Then, Yaoyorozu-san…," you do a little bow and take a sip of the tea.]

'It's just tea. Grassy, a little watery, sweet, smells and has hints of flower petals. It's not bad, it's just your taste buds like stronger flavors. Really bitter would be nicer than grass-flavored water, even plain ol' water would be nicer.'

[You don't really mind tea. It's not the best or worst thing, it's just a little melancholy, it requires something sweet to go with to be really pleasant.]

[Momo also take a sip.]

[Setting down your cup, you get ready to tell your side of the exam.]

'As always, honesty is the best policy. Trust is a priceless currency that you don't want losing.'

[Humming a little, "Hmm, so, first, it was a practical exam, 10 minutes, destroy as many 0-1-2-3-point robots as possible, trying to rack up a high score." You do some visual elements with your hand movements, "So, although the robots were big, they were made of aluminum alloy, so any basic person with a quirk could destroy them, it wasn't much of a problem. The only notable thing is the zero-pointer robot, an, as mentioned in a briefing, the zero-point robot that was more of an obstacle than something to be fought, as it was taller than, like, 10 stories, looming and crushing buildings like nothing."]

[Momo nods, "Okay, that sounds about right. But what made that noise?"]

'Be honest, she'll probably be in your class soon enough, revealing it is not a concern. You shouldn't burn this bridges. And at least, you don't need to reveal your 'quirk' yet, just 'how' you dealt with them.'

[You smirk, playfully arrogant, "How I dealt with them was the noise." You mimic a pitcher's throw, "I tossed tungsten balls at them, blasting through the sound barrier, creating sonic booms." Making an explosion movement with your hand.]

'Her look tells you she's doing mental calculations.'

[Her mind thinks for a second, "…tungsten…sound barrier…," "…sonic booms?" then she widens her eyes, "But… that would require at least 600 kilo-joules…no …even then that would just be subsonic… for supersonic." She vibrates and rattles, "Even then, how are you still in one piece? You said you threw it?! The reciprocal force is more than half! That's like taking an entire artillery shell to your arm!"]

'While she's definitely surprised, she isn't totally in disbelief, quirks are everywhere, and All Might can lift a football stadium. You are strong, but All Might is a total beast, a standard no one should aim for, at least, without willing to sacrifice something great.'

[You chuckle, "I can do more than just 600 KJ, it's that for accuracy sake, I toned it down, so the metal didn't warp." Then lifting up your right arm, you tap give it a pat, "I'm made of sturdier stuff, thanks to having a durable quirk."]

'You technically didn't even use a quirk to throw and run. Just the innate quirk factor that runs in your DNA. Although many people don't know, quirk factors are the building blocks of every quirk and strengthens the user to superhuman levels, to support their quirk, compared to previous historic humans before quirks emerged. With 30+ sub-quirks, you're densely filled with quirk factors, which is why you're so big. This theory coincides with your assumption that All Might may also have many quirks, having a higher amount of quirk factors, as his physique is not only impressive, but the force he's able to exert outmatches yours, unlike growth-mutant quirks. Possibly a special accumulator quirk variant like yourself.'

[Momo nods, without much thought, as a side comment, "Hmm. Somewhere, I've heard about that before, that every generation, quirks are becoming stronger. I guess I'm seeing it in person."]

'Probably from her dad, but that's a dangerous route of conversation. Researching your own theories, you've read the book "Paranormal Singularity Theory," where 70 years ago a doctor named, Kyudai Garaki, wrote about how quirk and human evolution will lead to a mass quirk extinction event. While most of the text was cryptic and religiously-like written, the main point stood out, affirming your concerns. *Wait* you remember something else, the "Meta Liberation War" a book on how quirks should be more open and not restricted by law. Although it was hard to find the original, it was a villain's autobiography, by Destro, son of The Mother of Quirks. Hmm, it talked about a time more than 50 years ago, when they used to call quirks, meta-abilities. Although seemingly harmless from the now published books, the message in the original was dangerous, "Liberate yourself," with the context of 'might makes right.' *Idiotic* If that was the case, All Might would be emperor of the world with Stars and Stripes as a mistress. Fantasy, childish, not practical, and doesn't factor in the singularity theory. The old will be constantly crushed by the new in a cycle of regression, society won't be able to recover. The only interesting observation noted was that quirks are meant to be used, and that is correct. The only correct thing that redeems the entire book. Quirks, meta-abilities, it's *strange.* A person's personality will be their quirk, not the other way around. Behavior, habits, perceptions, thoughts, all determined by a *power*. Not something the millions of years our humanities history has seen could be pinpointed. The problem is that today, everyone is born into the world with quirks, they can't think of one without them. Isn't that wild? And, over time, certain quirks have pushed concepts and reality to the limit, making you wonder what would happen if it did… break? You know you're special. When you first had your awakening, the world woke up and spoke. In the end of the day, heroics won't matter, defeating villains won't matter, saving civilians won't matter, this is why you must be the number one. Once you gain notoriety, becoming the number one hero, the world governments will cave to your demands. And although it's daunting, you must save humanity. You have the power.'

☐W☐E☐M☐U☐S☐T☐W☐O☐R☐K☐T☐O☐G☐E☐T☐H☐E☐R☐

[Taking a little pause, thinking a bit, you move topics, "Yep! I think I made a new record in the hero exam. And, I believe I earned extra brownie points by helping other examinees, a hidden heroic point." Then pushing the conversation completely away from quirks, "I also know I aced my written exam, so I'm probably going to be in the U.A. hero course." Taking a moment, you remember, "I heard that the school has classes from A-K. A to B being the hero courses, and the rest general studies or support courses."]

[Momo nods, "I assume you haven't received your letter yet, but I'm assigned to class 1-A." Taking a good look at you, "From what you've said, and if your being truthful, you'll probably be in the hero department too."]

'Momo takes another sip of tea.'

[You cheekily smile, "Then I'll be seeing you more often?"]

[Momo nods stone-cold.]

[The French waiter appears and then places down three dishes, "Nigiri aux oursins et au caviar, tataki de bœuf de Kobe et soupe aux champignons matsutake."]

'Translated: Sea urchin and caviar nigiri, Kobe beef tataki, and matsutake mushroom soup.'

[The waiter, then walks away.]

'You notice that the waiter waited to serve your food when you and Momo were done talking.'

[Looking at the food then Momo, "Do you want to stay, Or…" Playfully, not seriously asking.]

'Her parents have already finished their desert.'

[Momo looks at her parents, and nods, "Mhm, I think my parents are done." Standing up from her seat, "Pleasure meeting you, Dae-san." Reaching for a handshake.]

[Standing up, you reciprocate, "The pleasure was mine, Yaoyorozu-san." You both take a little bow, and you sit back down while she goes back to her parents.]

'Your stomach growls. Damn you're hungry. Looking at the food…Shit, you should've chosen a fast-food restaurant.'

[Looking at your food, you see on a large, heated black plate, 2 pieces of nigiri. On another plate, 8 thinly sliced beef strips. And the last plate, a small deep bowl-plate, sliced mushroom soup with a curl of yuzu skin.]

'Info: Yuzu is a hybrid of the orange mandarin fruit and ichang papeda, a lemon-orange-like fruit.'

'The two nigiri is seasoned rice with uni served raw and topped with tiny spheres of roe; The tataki is A5 Kobe beef seared, thinly sliced and dressed in truffle ponzu, gold flakes are added methodically around; The soup is mushrooms gently simmered in a dashi broth infused with citrus zest. The serving size is very small.'

[Though you're disappointed in the serving size, you know over time it will build up. So, methodically eating, you savor the flavors and quickly consume everything.]

[The waiter comes, taking your dishes and places three more plates, "Assiette Omakase, duo de crabe royal et d'oursins"]

'Translated: Omakase Platter, King Crab & Uni Duo.'

[After around an hour, you finish eating, and while not full, aren't hungry.]

[You wave the waiter, and he comes and gives you the check, ¥182,000]

[Paying with cash, you're left with ¥1,000 Yen left. Money that you will return to your dad in a bill, rather than coins.]

'What a nice day.'

[You stretch a bit and leave with the waiter guiding you out.]

[It's currently 9:50pm, with nothing to do, you walk around the city, taking in the sights of night-life.]

[Sometimes passing, you spot red-districts and lewd stores, but since you aren't interested, you just walk towards another direction.]

'Pondering the thought, even though you're 15, the age laws in recent years have been gradually looser due to quirks increasing the initial intelligence of children, 4-year-olds act like the 10-year-olds of the era before quirks. And, with certain celebrity cases and national boards, there is now an, non-mandatory, age-maturity test that every child can go through with their physician till of standard legal age. And, well, with some quirks that make people dumber, look younger, look older, and be smarter, this test is usually societally mandatory for jobs. Though in America, requirement of showing the test results for a job is illegal due to some HR laws. Your metal-age results when you were 4 was the standard 4-years-old, but when you turned 6, you suddenly resulted 18-years-old. So technically, at 6 you only could've legally had intercourse with someone of above legal age-maturity, while not under, despite being physically 6. A few years ago, you took the test again and resulted in above 100+, age-maturity, the max score, which is in place due to some people living longer than natural lifespans. Anyway, everything aside, you aren't interested in soap lands or "sleeping" help.'

[At 11:10pm, you walk out of the city district that leads to a crossing bridge over a wide river. These types of places have a hiking and biking path that runs along the river side, and a bank that are good for picnics, dates, sunbathing, and chilling.]

'Everything is so overwhelming. All your thoughts are scrambled and only after days like these can you truly feel something. Peace? Tranquil? No. Normal. Your mind is usually filled with angry or sadistic thoughts, on rest days after nightmares, you can truly enjoy being, normal.'

☐S☐O☐O☐N☐

[Alone on the small riverbank slope, you lay down and take a stargazing lean, arms behind your head.]

'Gazing deep into the abyss of space, you ignore the complex geometry calculating in your mind. Once the cloudy, mathematical formula starts to disappear, you take a simpler look.'

'Despite switching to LED lights, light pollution would've covered the Musutafu skies if not for the 'world-titled hero' 'Starlight', using her meta-ability to clear the air pollution from the sky, absorbing smog and chemicals, ultimately fatally suffering from heavy metal poisoning. During the meta-ability era, she wasn't a registered hero and was, by governments, chastised on media for using her meta-ability without permission. Though, overall, parts of the world memorialize her as a self-sacrificing hero who loved the world. But some people don't want to associate with a martyr lunatic. Either way, the skies are clear for today's stargazing.'

'Above, the beautiful dark sky reveals absence. *Absence*, a word that describes space. Absence~, oh absence~, the absence of light except for the sparkles of remnant stars. There is no such word as that better fits the cosmos than just light… and the absence of it, and it's beautiful.'

[You lay and watch the stars, humming a bittersweet tune.]

'If you were with someone today. It would've been a nice date.'

[6 days pass]

[The week as been a peaceful cake walk, saving money, eating good food, and resting under the stars, then going home to sleep, and repeat.]

'History: In the mid-19th century, 'cake walk' was named on plantations before and after emancipation in the southern United States, where Black people held dance contests with a cake awarded as the prize. It was originally a processional partner dance performed with comical formality as a subtle mockery of the mannered dances of white slaveholders.'

[Today was different from the cycle, a knock comes at your room's door.]

'Unless it was really important, your parents wouldn't knock. Calculated easily, it's your acceptance letter, there must've been a logo and stamp that signals U.A. High School. It's fair they'd be a little surprised, it's the greatest heroics department high school in the world. High-end college heroic departments are in the United States, where All Might went to UCLA, University of California, working with hero David Shields. The reason why U.A. High School is marked the greatest is because of the college level education, where each class is around 5 credits that can be transferred to any college. That makes going to U.A. and passing, essentially a free graduation to any college, so, many companies and organizations treat U.A. and any other high-end hero high schools like it's higher education, essentially a bachelor's degree. In doing so, people who graduate from prestigious hero high schools immediately work as side-kicks to professional heroes for experience.'

'Fun fact: The first heroes came from America, Rhode Island. During the "Vigilante Era,' called the "Rhode Island New State Statute" was the first professional hero system. Clarifying: The "Vigilante Era" refers to the origin of the first 'heroes,' people who stood up to the tyrannical villains during the beginning of meta-abilities.'

[Getting up and dressed, you open the door to walk to the dining room.]

'There you can see a middle aged, salary man, black hair, widows peak, and surprisingly youthful facial features. Your father, Oh Jin-Seon. Next to him is, your mother, A wilting flower, wearing a light sundress, her features are also surprisingly youthful, Oh Mi-Young. If seen together, they may think they're your older siblings.'

[Your parents sit next to each other facing you, a letter on the dining table. The letter has "Yuuei High School" on the bottom right corner, and a golden wax stamp on the seal.]

'They appear stern, but you pick up that your father is happy. You're mother is just listening.'

[Your father, Oh Jin-Seon, "대곤아, 이 편지가 뭐야?"]

'Translated: Daegon, what's this letter?'

[Responding, "그것은 합격 통지서입니다."]

'Translated: It's a letter of acceptance.'

[Smiling, "젠장. 잘할 줄 알았어요. 잘했어, 아들아. 엄마와 나는 네가 정말 자랑스럽다."]

'Translated: Damn it. I knew you'd do well. Good job son. Mom and I are so~ proud of you.'

[You nod, "고마워요, 아빠."]

'Translated: Thanks dad.'

[He sighs, averting his gaze slightly, "…비록 제가 최고의 아빠는 아니었지만요. 행운을 빕니다."

'Translated: Though I wasn't the best dad. Good luck.'

[You nod again, "네, 고마워.]

'Translated: Yeah, thanks.'

[He waves you off, 좋아. 마음대로 해.]

'Translated: Okay. Do what you want.'

[You take the letter and walk away, "네."]

'Translated: Ok.'

[With the letter in hand, you walk to your room.]

'You're always a bit awkward with your parents. A relationship that never truly got to bloom, they're more like roommates or siblings.'

[Sitting at your desk, you open the letter and find a metal circle plate.]

'Oh, it's projection technology.'

[Setting it down, you press on a pressure sensitive button. A light zips out and projects a video on the wall.]

'You see All Might in a golden suit, on the set that looks like a game show. He's very dapper, you should get a suit like this."

["HELLO!!! YOUNG DAE-GON!!! YOU ARE A MAGNIFICENT BUDDING HERO! NOT ONLY ACING THE WRITTEN TEST BUT ALSO TOPPING THE CHARTS OF THE PRACTICAL EXAM!!!"]

["YOUUU SHOW GREAT POTENTIAL! AN ASTOUNDING ONE-HUNDRED-AND-FIFTY-ONE VILLAIN POINTS!!!!]

["AND THAT'S NOT ALL YOUNG HERO!!! AS IF YOU KNEW, YUUEI DOES NOT ONLY GRADE ON VILLAIN POINTS!! SAVING 17 OTHER YOUNG CANDIDATES! THE PANEL OF JUDGES HAVE DETERMINED 70 RESCUE POINTS!!"]

["NEVER SEEN BEFORE, THE JUDGES HAVE ALL AGREED THAT USING UP YOUR TIME TO SAVE OTHER CONTESTANTS WAS HEROIC AND SHOWED A HERO'S INTELLECT!! DRUMROLL PLEASE!!! …Eh no, drum rolls? 'no?' Not even in post? 'no?' AHEM YOUNG DAE-GON!! WITH A TOTAL SCORE OFFFF!!!! APPLAUSE PLEASE!!!"]

["…TWO-HUNDRED-AND-TWENTY-ONE PRACTICAL SKILL POINTS, YOU, OH DAE-GON," With a grand gesture, "THIS IS YOUR HERO ACADEMIA!!!"]

[The video cuts abruptly.]

'Hmm…. 'My' Hero Academia? Rolls of the tongue, the drama in this one is magnificent.'

[Stretching you go back to sleep.]

[A month passes and it's April 7th.]

[From an email list given out to all students, a list of textbooks, notebooks, and cleaning supplies are provided. Also given is the school website and store for the U.A. uniform.]

'I am *Ready Perfectly.*'

[Donning the grey U.A. uniform, you grab your school bag and walk out of the house.]

'The wind today is perfect, a breeze runs through your hair. But you know things will get worse but more interesting. You'll need to start using your quirk more often, which means nightmares, but as long as you don't push it to a certain threshold, you mind will stay intact, well, something may start leaking, but at least you'll still be there.'

☐Y☐O☐U☐M☐E☐A☐N☐M☐E☐R☐I☐G☐H☐T☐?☐I☐L☐L☐S☐E☐E☐E☐Y☐O☐U☐S☐O☐O☐N☐!☐

[It's currently 7:40am and class starts at 8:25am. It would usually take a 15-minute bus ride and in campus a 3-minute ride through to the U.A. High School building, but you've got a better idea.]

'The U.A. campus is massive, like, clearly an entire city in itself, with a better estimate, ~3.65-mile diameter, is an incredible size. The campus houses, Ground Beta, Ground Gamma, Ground Omega, Gym Gamma, the Forested Grounds, Sports Festival Stadium, and the USJ, Unforeseen Simulation Joint. All of it is situated in a congregated zone.'

[Instead of such a long commute, you'd wish to just stay on campus, as they have the space, but it seems U.A. is a day school, so tough luck.]

[But all your worries go away with a bike! With a normal bike, and you're strength, casually, it'd take around 30-38 minutes depending on traffic. If you speed through with some effort, less than 20 minutes. Last time, the entrance exam, you walked for 20 minutes, then for fun, ran the rest of the way.]

☐M☐Y☐F☐U☐N☐

'If you ran with all your might, 4-9 minutes tops. 4 minutes but buildings and people would be blown to bits. And, you'd be sweaty, and possibly naked…not school attire.'

[Your sports bike in the public bike parking space, an old bike you'd occasionally use, built for quirks, is perfect. With that bike, the trip to U.A. will take 10-20 minutes casually.]

'You remember months when you would bike to different cities, eat, and go back.'

[Strolling to the spot, you get your bike and start pedaling, already onto the max gear, a special, rotating gear-ratio, your bike moves as fast as a car.]

[Up a hill.]

[After a few moments, you reach the U.A. campus wall, a seemingly short, normal concrete wall that has many openings for cars and foot travel. Here is a slightly public zone where people can come when U.A. events occur. Trees litter this area but leave nice shade for walking.]

'Although you've not physically gone, you've watched all recordings of U.A. sports festivals to gain an understanding of the quality of quirks, since you don't see them often in public.'

[Biking through the wall, you head on a main road and pass by many faculty buildings spread out.]

[You find a designated bike parking space to the side of a building and lock it.]

[Reaching deeper, through trees, you spot the big towers that create U.A. High School. On a higher hill, surrounding U.A., there is a much higher, long, wall, with the large gate, which, from the student handbook, scans student key cards for access. Also, in the handbook, there are mini layouts of the faculties and entrances, such as the back entrance for student shuttle transport. There is also a map of the inside the departments and facilities, such as the cafeteria, library, and labs. Outside, there is a gymnasium and a few sport courts.]

'Department of Heroes, A and B; Department of General Education, C, D, E; Department of Support, F, G, H; Department of Management, I, J, K.'

[Arriving at the gates, you look up to see the massive school building made of windows, four tall towers that have a glass bridge that go into each other. Looking at it from the gate, it looks like an 'H', as in Hero.]

[Walking in, student ID in the bag. You take in the old sights. The big entrance, statues lining the gates, the tall door you wanted to jump and tap…]

[Well, nothing is too surprising, you've been here for the Entrance Exam, everything is just a lot emptier.]

[Walking up to the large building doors, there are quite a few students coming in since it's the first day of school. 8:00am, class starts in 25 minutes. Supposedly there's an orientation today, so, it shouldn't be too much a busy day today, just introductions and syllabus stuff. After 7 classes, plus lunch, school ends at 4:10. And, 6 days of school, Sundays off, that's U.A. High School.]

[The doors have 1, 2, and 3 on them, which each has a sensor for student IDs. As a first-year student, you walk through the 1st door.]

[Walking inside to the familiar entrance room, with more visibility, the inside of the building looks like an airport. Glass windows are everywhere, and ceilings are incredibly high.]

[Following the handbooks guide, you walk to the 1-A homeroom. Student homerooms are on 3 floors, First-year students are on the top student floor, second-year students lower, and third-year students on the last one. Since U.A. is so big, there are multiple departments on each floor.]

[Passing some students, you walk up the stairs and go to the 1-A classroom. Walking by you can see through the glass windows, the landscape of Musutafu, trees and residential housings, reaching out to Suruga Bay.]

'It's quite the sight. Beautiful. Makes you want to be a hero just from that view.'

[You open the door.]

[Inside you can see a few people already in their seats. You're number 9, in a 5 x 4 arrangement. So, second row, second last seat.]

'Oh, you can see some familiar faces, Yaoyorozu, Iida, and Aoyama. There are also some new folks in, a pink girl, a white hair guy, a frog girl, a multi-limbed heteromorph, a blonde guy with a tail, and in front right, you can spot an invisible girl. 10 out of the 20 are early, including you.'

'Silence fogs the room. Everyone inside is cautious, like sizing each other up. Some are curious, some are angry, some are anxious, but one is diligent.'

[As you walk inside, Iida stands up and introduces himself, "Good morning. I am from Somei Private Academy. My name is Tenya Iida. I would like to kno- guh!" He seems to recognize you. Recomposing himself, pushing up his glasses, "Ah, I remember you from the entrance exam. You were the one who talked back to me, ran first, and… caused all the noise. Am I correct?"]

[You nod, so he continues, with a darkened face, "I did not know you were so strong. I was wrong, I'm sorry. Please tell me your name."]

'What is he apologizing for? Being weak?'

[You smile, "My name is Oh Dae-Gon, but please, call me, Dae. And… no need to apologize, Iida, my strength shouldn't be what makes me right." You chuckle slightly.]

[Iida nods, "Nice to meet you Dae-kun. You are very polite." Then he goes back to his seat.]

'You spot Yaoyorozu and Aoyama looking at you.'

[Walking through the desks, you set your bag down and walk towards to far end of the classroom where Yaoyorozu is.]

[She stands up and shakes your hand, "It seems like you were telling the truth." Nodding, "Nice meeting you again, Dae-kun."]

[Likewise, you nod, "Pleasures all mine, Yaoyorozu-kun" And then you walk back to your seat.]

'You notice Iida, frog girl, and pink girl glancing at you. To the right of your seat, and going down are, Iida, frog girl, and pink girl.'

[You wave, "Yo, what's up?" at frog girl.]

'A short girl of a slender build and has large hands. Her appearance is rather frog-like; she has a wide mouth, which dips down a little in the middle like a frog. Her hair is a dark-green color and is very long, reaching to her hips with the ends tied together at the bottom in a large bow of hair. She is kind of creepy, but cute at the same time.'

[She speaks, "Kero. You are very handsome. What's your name?"]

'Blunt and honest, very cute.'

[Smiling from a compliment, "Thanks, you're very cute. My name is Oh Dae-Gon but call me Dae. Yours?"]

["Kero, thank you Dae-chan. My name is Tsuyu Asui but call me Tsu."]

["Nice meeting you Tsu-kun"]

[Abruptly, the pink girl cheers, "My name is Mina Ashido!"]

'A medium height girl with some muscle definition, her skin is a light shade of pink, and she has somewhat square-shaped eyes with black sclerae, yellow irises. Ashido has fluffy pink hair, with two flexible pale-yellow horns protruding from her head. She also has, "healthy thighs", as you notice she's the only girl who wears shorts under her skirt.'

'She must be athletic, looking at her muscle definition, she's a dancer.'

[You smile, "Pleasure meeting you Ashido-kun." Patting your chest, "Oh Dae-gon."]

[Asui also chimes, "Nice meeting you Ashido-chan. Refer to me as Tsu."]

[Ashido beams with energy, "Dae-kun, Tsu-kun! Are you excited to be in U.A.?" She smiles, and does some mock punches, "I can't wait to use my quirk!"]

'You see a girl with short dark-blue hair and long earlobes walk in, and a guy with short black hair, with covered blocky elbows.'

[As some students come in, and Iida going to greet them, you cheerfully respond, "Yup, U.A. is the perfect place for me to finally go all out."]

☐A☐L☐L☐O☐U☐T☐W☐I☐T☐H☐M☐E☐

'All your life you've been waiting to fully go all out. While doing mental training in your house, studying nearly every book possible, from martial to philosophy, physical training was always hard to control, needing to bike to isolated mountains.'

☐I☐L☐L☐W☐A☐I☐T☐(:☐

[Asui nods.]

'More students come in, a stocky brown hair guy, a bird heteromorph, and a small purple ball-haired boy.'

'Consciousness emanates from the purple ball-haired boy… He's counting the number of girls in the class.'

'He's a pervert. But Iida still talks to him…how diligent.'

[After a glance at more students coming in, you continue the conversation with Ashido, "So, what do you like to do?"]

'Simple, basic small talk.'

[She rubs her chin pondering, "Hmm~ I like… Dancing!" She does a couple arm gestures.]

'Her gestures are those used in break dancing.'

[Noticing her movements, "Break dancing?"]

[She smiles, "Yep! How'd you know?"]

'Dancing is practically the same as martial arts, you can do all of it.'

[You show off some mock arm movements, "I've been known to dabble."]

'More students come in, this time, it's a guy with blonde hair with a streak of black, and a red-haired guy, who goes to the front of the class.'

[As students come in, a red-haired student greets the class, "Hello everybody! My name is Eijiro Kirishima! Nice to meet you all!" then goes to his seat in front of yours.]

'Kirishima is a muscular young man with an impressive physique. He has red eyes, and a small scar just above his right eye.'

'He seems proud that he introduced himself.'

[You wave to him, "Yo, Kirishima-kun! Nice to meet you. Name's Oh Dae-Gon, call me Dae.]

[He smirks, "Haha! Nice to meet you Dae-kun!]

[Iida, finishing talking to the blonde guy with the same spiel, talks to Kirishima.]

'You notice Ashido wants to continue the conversation.'

[You look at Ashido again, "So yeah, I've danced before."]

[Ashido smirks, "You'll have to show me sometime. But don't get jealous when I style all over you."]

[You playfully smirk back, "Don't expect me to pick up the pieces when you break."]

'Asui is paying attention. She doesn't seem to mind not conversating.'

[Ashido smiles with playful malice, "Oh~ you're on!"]

'She seems to be the competitive type.'

[You mimic her malice, "Oh yeah? Heh~ we'll see."]

'From you two, a dark aura fills this corner of the room. Kirishima seems worried, while the bird man seems to smirk, as if anticipating this happening, and basking in it.'

'A loud noise come from the door.'

[Suddenly, breaking the aura, the sludge incident boy, Bakugo, you saw in the exam, barges in, stomping like a big stepper.]

'Slang: Big stepper refers to someone who portrays themselves as a significant figure in their environment.'

[He slouches like a thief and sits down at his desk. Then to Iida's horror, Bakugo puts his feet up on the desk, leaning in his chair.]

'Iida's in full teacher's pet mode.'

[Iida with purpose, moves to Bakugo's desk, "Don't put your legs on the desk! Don't you think that's disrespectful towards your classmates!?"]

'The door opens slightly, you can see Midoriya peeking in.'

[Bakugo with a heinous tone, "No, as a matter of fact, I don't think so. Which middle school are you from anyway, you two-bit extra!?]

'Understanding more of his character, Bakugo, probably, mentions middle school due to having a reputation there. You surmise that Bakugo is like this do to the environment of his peers, probably the head of a classic bully entourage. From his personality and confidence, he has a high likelihood of having a strong quirk, perhaps adding some more fuel to the ego circle-jerk.'

[Iida continues, "A private sch- ahem. I'm from Soumei Junior High School. The name's Iida Tenya."]

["Soumei~~!? Well, aren't you an *elite* seems I've got a reason to fucking end you after all!"]

[Shocked and apprehensive, "End me?" Stern, "What nerve! You, want to be a hero!?"]

[Looking away, Iida notices Midoriya, and walks aggressively, "Hello, I'm Iida Tenya from Soumei-"]

[Midoriya interrupting, "Oh yeah, haha, I overheard. Uhh... I'm Izuku Midoriya. Nice to meet you, Iida..." Nervously.]

["Midoriya... I must hand it to you." Iida talks seriously, "You divined the actual nature of the practical skills exam, didn't you?" Covering his face in shame, "I... was blind to it!" Then deeper shame, "And I completely misread you! I hate to admit it, but you were the better man!"]

'Midoriya doesn't look like he knew.'

'Bakugo seems to be peeved about Midoriya's success.'

[The door opens to reveal Uraraka, "Ah! It's you Midoriya!!" Waving her hands, "Glad I found you!"]

'Midoriya is embarrassed.'

[Uraraka, complementing, "You made it, just like present mic said!! Yay, go you! By the way, that punch was out of this world! You pulverized it!!"]

[Midoriya, blushing covering his face, "N-No, it-it's not like that, uhh, that-that is to say, it wa-was really all thanks to you s-speaking on my behalf... I... Uhh..." Voice trailing off.]

[Uraraka surprised, "Ehh? How did you know about that?"]

[Midoriya embarrassed, "!!!"]

'Bakugo is intensely staring at Midoriya. Must be imagining killing him, or perhaps some past drama.'

[Midoriya explains, "W-well, in my acceptance projection, All Might s-showed you speaking on my behalf."]

'Interesting, this school has more cameras than to be believed. Nezu must be cautious… and he should be, there is an informant in the class.'

[Uraraka rambles, "I wonder if today's the ceremony? Or is it guidance counselor stuff today? Oh, and the teacher what'll they be like? I'm so anxious, like wow!"]

'Deku is nervous. It seems he has anxiety talking to girls… or anyone, perhaps his childhood was stunted in some way. Probably from constant abuse by Bakugo.'

'You hear something down the hall scooting around.'

[Uraraka looks around the classroom and spots you, "Ouah! It's DIO-kun! You pa-" Interrupted by a voice outside you can't see.]

[Somewhere low to the ground, "If you're gonna be hunting for buddies do it elsewhere." Everyone pauses, "This is the department...*Suck!!* of heroics!!"]

'The guy outside just drank something in the middle of his speech.'

[Revealing himself…it's a raggedy guy in a sleeping bag…]

'On closer perception, this man, messy black hair and stubble, is probably a pro hero. Nezu wouldn't allow such a vagrant to be around especially with the security systems in place. With that process in mind, he is probably a night hero, who fights crime in the shadows.'

[The man steps out of the bag, revealing a hero outfit, "Hmm, it took you lot 8 seconds to quiet down. Life is short, kids. You're all lacking in common sense."]

'So, he is a pro hero. The scarf around his neck looks like it has special fibers in it, probably his capturing weapon for villains.'

[Midoriya comments out loud, "So he must be a pro hero, too, huh...?"]

'Seems Midoriya has a problem voicing his thoughts out loud. He spilled the beans with his quirk supposedly being able to swallow DNA… the specifics are still being fleshed out. He might have a DNA eating quirk, an accumulation one. Perhaps the more DNA he consumes of a strong individual, it builds up a storage of power, and Midoriya can release it. Things to ponder…observing him would be optimal.'

[The shaggy man speaks, "I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta. Pleasure meeting you."]

'*Ding* Memory found. Aizawa Shouta. While no present information can be reached, you've watched videos of him perform in the Sports Festival when he was once a student at U.A.. The memory was quickly found due to his unique quirk that fascinated you, Erasure, a quirk that can deactivate other quirks with sight. The only limitation that you saw was against mutant types, it could only stop the functions of a quirk and not the base physical augmentation of a mutant or heteromorph. During his first 2 years of the sports festival, he was formidable, but the 3rd year, he was completely different, becoming colder and crueler to contestants. Further research from interest, a news case of Shouta defeating a villain by the name of Garvey, a frog-like villain, protecting children from the villain. In the articles and hero report, a student by the name Oboro Shirakumo tragically died in the incident. That must've been Shouta's reason.'

'Oblivion. You suddenly feel a wave of sadness. You can feel his pain. The horror and rejection of life, the sight of Shirakumo's death. As if you were Shouta, you can feel his suffering, and the agony of time.'

[Shouta rummages through his sleeping bag and take out a U.A. gym uniform, "Wear these immediately. And then shove off to the P.E. grounds."]

'It's a blue uniform with white accents striping a blocky 'U' and 'A' on the chest to stomach. Some red outlines are on the upper arms.'

[Taking out more uniforms, Shouta tosses them towards everyone in the class with precision and starts to leave, "Ah. Changing rooms are the right." Then walks away.]

[Everyone is sort of stunned and waits a second before they start to get up to go change.]

[In the locker room, you see most of the boy's physiques, making a mental note.]

'Everyone is fairly athletic; the only slacker is the purple ball-hair kid. He's pudgy.'

'Instead of the few that change in booths, surprising you slightly, is the multi-limbed heteromorph. You can sense that he has history over his appearance but doesn't mind the gazes on his body due to being used to it. You feel his history warp your own, feeling depression over a history of oppression you never had.'

[While you take a glance at everyone's physiques, they also take a look at yours.]

'You're tall, 6'7, and have really dense muscles that make your body look like it's literally made of marble. Your skin is thick enough to mask muscle striations, so it's not unsightly, just surprising that a 15-year-old has the body of a leaner All Might. All Might is recorded to be 7'3, so you're not as tall, and also not as bulky, your quirk isn't a media-speculated, strength quirk. The only person who matches such a physique here is the brown-haired guy with big lips. He looks 6 feet and is built like a body builder. While yours is similar, yours is more martial arts focused, having denser, rather than bulky, muscles for flexibility.'

[Kirishima, the red-hair, gawks at your body, "Dude! Dae-kun. What the hell! Your body is totally manly!" In praise and admiration.]

'Kirishima is ripped, nicely shaped and has signs of consistent exercise. On closer inspection, Kirishima's hair looks like it was dyed recently. *Wait* is he crying?'

[Kirishima sheds a tear, "So… Manly…" He looks away, wiping his eyes.]
