LOUIS' POV
"What is this dinner about anyway, that my father is saying I must be there?" I asked. I have never been invited to anything by my family except for birthdays and important Carrington group events.
"I'm not sure of the exact details, sir, but your father would like to make a family announcement," he told me.
"How vague," I commented in annoyance. I wanted to avoid going, but as a family member who worked in their company, I couldn't avoid it.
"And lastly, it has come to your father's attention that you currently don't have an assistant," he told.
"How does he know that?" I asked, surprised he knew. It had been only a week and a half since Jasmine had been unable to work.
" Your father has been watching you a little more closely these days," Roberts' assistant told me.
A scoff escaped my mouth. " Oh, has he?" I replied. Why? I wondered for a moment before I remembered.
