Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – The Gathering of Powers

Arcanis (East Continent)

(Capital: Eryndor)

The skycraft's black wings cut through storm clouds, descending like a predator. Its runic engines hummed with restrained power as it touched down upon the landing platform of the Global Protection Force Headquarters—the tallest tower in Eryndor, the arcane capital of Arcanis.

The hatch opened with a hiss. Mr. Jack stepped out, his face drawn with fatigue. Behind him, four Defenders pushed a massive obsidian coffin bound in golden chains inscribed with runes. The very air seemed to tremble around it, as though reality itself recoiled from what lay within.

Waiting at the platform's edge was Chief Mathew Vega, the iron-willed Commander of the G.P.F. His deep-blue cloak fluttered in the night wind, and for a moment, even his seasoned composure cracked when his gaze fell upon the coffin.

Mathew Vega: "You've returned, Jack. And you've brought… that."

Mr. Jack saluted, then bowed deeply.

Mr. Jack: "Chief. Mission complete. As ordered. No one outside the Black Forest saw this—except our operatives. The coffin is secured. No interference… but the aura it emits grows stronger by the hour."

Matthew's gaze lingered on the coffin. Its aura was suffocating—terrifying yet strangely familiar, as though the whispers of legend had taken form. He gave a sharp nod, motioning to the Defenders.

Mathew Vega: "Take it to the Sanctum of Iron Veil. Triple wards. No one enters without my mark."

The guards saluted and carried the coffin into the fortress. A glass door opened, revealing a hidden lift descending into the earth. The coffin vanished into shadows. Only whispers lingered.

The Emergency Council

Moments later, the Eclipse Hall lit with spectral fire. A round obsidian table shimmered beneath rune-light. Matthew Vega stood at its head, his expression carved from stone.

Beside him sat Xion Fury, venerable CEO of the G.P.F.—his long white hair flowing like smoke, his aura sharp as a blade. Across the table, cloaked in shadow, sat Master Lee Dean, mysterious Chief of the World Noblesse. Eighty years old, yet his presence crushed the room with the weight of an S-Rank Noblesse.

Other figures flickered across crystal projectors—masters from the five continents:

Master Fang. from Kaelthar (North Continent)Capital: Drevarn – sharp-eyed, his words laced with cunning.

Master Evan of Solarys – calm, diplomatic, yet calculating.

Master Kuba of Dravania – scarred and restless, his voice like rumbling dunes.

Master Leo of Arcanis – the storm-bearer wizard, lightning flickering faintly in his image.

The silence broke with Matthew's voice:

Mathew Vega: "Masters. Today marks a turning point. After years of effort, we have found it—the Coffin."

The masters exchanged grim looks.

Master Fang: "Rumors say no one can open it. Yet still… it frightens even the heavens."

Master Kuba: "Some say it holds a weapon. Others… a god. But if even we are unworthy, why guard it at all? Why not bury it where none can find it?"

At last, Master Lee Dean opened his eyes—twin suns burning within shadow. His voice was soft yet cut through the hall like iron.

Master Lee: "Because the Coffin chooses its resting place. You do not bury it. It arrives where fate wills. That is why it lies now in Eryndor. And that is why we tremble."

Silence followed. No one dared argue.

The Debate Ignites

Master Evan (Solarys): "If the Coffin cannot be opened, then it is nothing but a curse chained in stone. Seal it under the Glacial Abyss. Let ice swallow it forever."

Master Fang (Kaelthar): sneering "And let Kaelthar's frost-dogs be the only ones who know its resting place? We will not bow to such arrogance."

Master Kuba (Dravania): slamming his staff "You children fight like carrion birds. The question is not who buries it. The question is: what if it opens by itself?"

The words chilled the chamber. Flames guttered. All eyes turned inevitably to Lee Dean.

Master Lee: "Three hundred years ago, twenty S-Rank Noblesse fell on Death Island. Their bodies were never found. Their spirits never crossed the veil. What enemy could erase them so completely?"

He leaned forward, lowering his voice as if the walls themselves might betray him.

Master Lee: "Whispers say the Coffin holds the betrayer of that war. A being not of this world. Neither man nor beast. A Lord."

Shock rippled through the chamber.

Fang: "A myth. A bedtime tale."

Kuba: "If true, then why has it not stirred until now?"

Xion Fury raised his hand, silencing all. His voice was steady, though shadow crossed his gaze.

Xion Fury: "True or false, rumor or not—the Coffin is real. Its presence stirs fear in every corner of Arcanis. Already spies move in Eryndor. Already kingdoms whisper. We cannot deny what it represents: power."

All eyes turned back to Lee Dean, his silence heavier than iron. Finally, he spoke.

Lee Dean: "That coffin you dragged here tonight—it is not for you to open. Its seals belong to an age before your councils, before even the Noblesse Orders. Rumors will spread—some will whisper it binds a traitor Lord, others that it contains a weapon. Let them whisper. None of you are worthy."

The chamber erupted.

Fang: "So W.N. dictates what knowledge belongs to the world?"

Kuba: "Your secrecy will get us all killed, old man!"

Evan: "If you know more, speak it. Or stop pretending to care for humanity!"

Xion Fury rose, his aura crashing through the chamber like a storm.

Xion Fury: "Enough! Bickering will not strengthen us."

The Arrival of David

The heavy doors opened. A figure hurried in—David, head of Intelligence Division. His face was pale, hands clutching a black crystal drive.

Mathew Vega: "David. You were not summoned."

David: kneeling "Forgive me, Chief. Forgive me, Masters. But this—you must see this."

He handed the drive to Matthew, who slotted it into the rune-crystal projector. The chamber darkened. Walls flared to life with a recording from the Black Forest of

Veyrath (West Continent)

They watched Noblesse clashing with the skin-beasts. They saw the Oxag Wolf, unstoppable, ripping through defenses. They saw Taylor fall… lifeless.

Then—the purple light. The collapsing portal. The Oxag Wolf disintegrating. The golden radiance descending into Taylor, reviving him.

Gasps, curses, and stunned silence followed.

Kuba (Dravania): "By the flames… this isn't power. This is divinity."

Evan (Solarys): "Or something worse. If such a being turned against us, the world would burn in days."

The storm erupted again.

Kuba: "This is godhood!"

Fang: "Blasphemy. To twist death itself mocks balance."

Evan: "Savior or monster, it proves one truth—we are children before giants."

Xion Fury: "Enough. Whether savior or threat, the truth is clear—we are unprepared. Too weak. If another portal unleashes something worse, none of us could stop it."

Leo of Arcanis: lightning flickering faintly "So what do you propose, Fury? That we conscript children? Throw untested bloodlines into the fire?"

Xion Fury: "I propose immediate recruitment. Every academy, every hidden clan, every untested prodigy—we bring them into the field. The International Clan must rise again, stronger than ever."

Master Lee Dean's eyes glinted.

Fang: "And who commands this new clan? You? Or W.N. pulling the strings as always?"

The chamber shook with accusations.

Some saw the being as savior, proof that Lords still walked. Others warned it was a conqueror biding its time. Some demanded the coffin destroyed. Others wanted it weaponized.

But through the storm, two figures stood firm: Lee Dean and Xion Fury.

At last, Lee's voice cut like steel.

Lee Dean: "Do as you will with your armies. Recruit, train, fight shadows if it pleases you. But mark my words—the moment you seek to open that coffin, you will invite calamity none of you can comprehend."

Xion Fury: thundering "Recruitment begins. Every continent. Every academy. Every hidden prodigy. The International Clan rises again."

Master Lee: "So be it. Let the recruitment begin."

And even though they didn't want to, everyone had to remain silent and obey.

The chamber rumbled with reluctant agreement.

Messengers would spread across continents.

Trials and summons would begin at once.

Among those soon to hear the call—

Lei Shan.
