An hour passed before one of the alliance unit commanders approached Ethan. He reported that every unit was ready to move.
"How many soldiers do we have left?"
"About fifty-five thousand remaining."
"We only lost five thousand. That's good," Ethan said.
He turned toward the harbor. All the ships were docked at the city's northern port. Eight vessels in total were ready to sail.
Jack stepped up beside him and explained that his team members and troops were prepared to fight alongside the Eastern Alliance.
He added that he would bring five thousand city soldiers, enough to cover the alliance's losses from the previous battle.
Ethan did not object. However, he firmly reminded Jack that he would not take full responsibility for any Blazing Arrow team member deaths.
Jack nodded in understanding. He already accepted the consequences of fighting two S-rank guilds.
"I understand."
