Iris:
After telling me everything that was also done to the lycans by the werewolves over the years, my mother started to cry. I cried too because Aunt Teresa did not deserve that kind of ending. But my brother was humming and looking around, even bobbing his head as if he were listening to music we could not hear.
"So, what is the decision?" he asked, finally stopping his humming and turning to look at us.
My mother sniffled and wiped her cheeks, looking at me with hopeful eyes. What happened to her was terrible, but that did not change the fact that, through all of this, she had made me suffer too. For her, werewolves were the enemies. For me, she was the one who caused my pain.
"There is no need to worry about me and Kash anymore. There is nothing there. There will be nothing there," I reassured my mother, giving her a gentle nod, trying to make her understand that she did not have to think too much about me.
However, she shook her head again.
