I did not want it to turn ugly. All I wanted was to enter the East and look for my mate, but they were not even letting me step inside, making my worry grow.
"Yeah," I replied dryly. "I hope it is for the purpose of power and land."
That was my mother's way of asking me not to start a war over Iris, which was impossible for me to do.
"Don't worry, nobody will be disappointed," I spoke sarcastically, and my mother quickly stepped in front of me.
"Listen to me," she told me softly. "I know you are headed there to look for your children, but your children are the only thing you should be focusing on. Forget about that woman. She has embarrassed you many times by running away, and you now have a beautiful, kind, and gentle wife. You should focus on Lara. When you return, make sure you make up for the time she has lost."
