Ren's answer was lost in the fire consuming him. His body trembled uncontrollably, heat spiraling low in his belly as Li Wei's lips devoured the hollow of his throat.
"Ah—Li… stop—" Ren's protest broke into a moan, his voice soft and desperate.
Li Wei's golden eyes blazed as he lifted his head, gazing down at him like prey already caught. "Your lips are sweet, but your lies are sweeter. Do you think you can fool me, Ren?"
Ren shook his head weakly, but Li Wei silenced him with another crushing kiss. Their mouths met in a clash of need, Li Wei's tongue dominating, coaxing, consuming. Ren whimpered, clutching at his arms, nails digging into skin he could not bring himself to let go of.
The serpent's hands were relentless—one sliding firmly down Ren's waist, gripping his hip possessively, dragging him flush against the hard length of his body. Ren gasped sharply at the contact, his knees giving out completely. Li Wei caught him easily, lifting him as though he weighed nothing, pressing him against the mist-woven wall that appeared behind them.
"You feel it, don't you?" Li Wei whispered huskily against his lips, grinding against him, every movement deliberate and intoxicating. "The fire I've buried in you across lifetimes. You ache because your body remembers me."
"D-Don't—ahh—" Ren's cry turned into a helpless moan as Li Wei's mouth claimed his neck again, teeth grazing, biting lightly, leaving heated marks that burned with possession.
Ren's legs wrapped instinctively around Li Wei's waist, his body betraying him completely. He hated how natural it felt, how much his body craved every touch, every press of heat.
"Good," Li Wei growled against his skin, voice roughened with desire. "Cling to me. That's what you've always done, my beloved."
Their bodies moved in a rhythm older than words, the dream twisting around them, mist surging like waves. Every touch ignited Ren's nerves until he was writhing, his breath ragged, eyes glassy with sensation he couldn't deny.
"Li Wei… I—ahh—"
"Say it," Li Wei demanded, his thrusts growing more insistent, lips brushing Ren's ear. "Say you're mine."
Ren shook his head desperately, but his voice betrayed him, breaking on a choked cry. "I—I'm yours…"
The admission shattered him. The serpent's mark blazed brilliantly, searing through the dream, binding their souls together in chains of fire and desire.
Li Wei crushed their mouths together again, devouring his surrender, his voice a growl of triumph. "Mine. Across every life. Mine."
And in the dream's embrace, Ren burned.
