My back.
It was broken.
My exoskeleton was cracked, and a black substance was flowing down those very cracks.
I felt my body getting heavier and heavier.
I checked on the princess inside the sack and... she was still asleep.
How the hell did she not wake up from all that's happened?
I slowly got up from the ground and felt my body tremble.
The cracks were slowly spreading more and more, even reaching my head.
I looked around to see if there was anything inside the hole, but the first thing I noticed was the hole we fell from.
It was now like a speck of light that barely shined down on us, and worst of all, it was getting dimmer the longer I looked.
Painfully, I grabbed the sack with the princess and began to scan for anything.
My eyes landed on a small opening just big enough to squeeze us in.
Slowly, I began to move inside that opening, hoping to find something that would help us.
I squeezed through for five minutes and found a river of magma. Normally, this wouldn't have been ideal, but just across that river was flowing water.
It was a reservoir of water. It was surrounded by lush plants that the princess could eat and drink to survive while I looked for a way out.
And thanks to the magma, staying warm wasn't gonna be a problem.
But getting there was gonna be a pain.
There were no clear paths to reach it, and any path I did find was too unstable to cross.
Feeling my body getting heavier by the second, I made the decision to cross the river of magma using the ceiling of the cave.
Using my clawed hands, I began climbing the walls of the cave and slowly moved through the magma.
But with each movement, my body felt like it was going to collapse at any second.
So, with this in mind, I moved much more quickly to reach our goal.
And with one final move, I jumped down towards the reservoir.
I felt my legs wobble as I landed on the ground. My body was at its limit.
So, deciding to move quickly, I placed her down next to the only tree inside. It glowed with a bright yellow shimmer, almost ethereal in nature.
Once I placed her down, I could feel exhaustion taking hold of me, so I moved across from where she was lying down and took a seat.
As I stared at the sack, I could feel my eyes getting heavier and heavier. Weird... this was the first time I was actually going to fall asleep in this body.
With one final breath, my eyes closed, and darkness was all that's left.

(Charlie POV)
I woke up with a very deep yawn. That was an amazing nap—I felt like Mom was rocking me to sleep when I was younger.
But oddly, I felt like I was on the... floor?
Did Mister Knight reach Uncle Satan's house already?
Feeling excited, I popped my head out of the sack and was quickly disappointed.
I was now in what looked like a cave. On my right was a pool of water, behind me a tree with glowing yellow berries, and on the left was a flowing river of magma.
But what caught my attention was that Mister Knight was sleeping across from me.
I stepped out of the sack and walked towards him. He must have been really tired from all that walking and needed to take a nap like me.
So, being the proud Princess of Hell, I decided to make something nice for him before he woke up.
I looked around the cave and found a flower patch full of flowers. They were all mostly colored white and glowed in the dark.
So, I grabbed a bunch of them to make a flower crown for him before he woke up.
I started by making sure that it was large enough to fit his head, and once I knew it was big enough, I began connecting them together.
This took me longer than expected, but as the Princess of Hell, it's no problem for me to make.
After I had finished making it, I slowly placed it on his head, making sure I didn't wake him up from his nap.
Once I did that, I slowly backed away to begin making us dinner!
I looked at the tree with the glowing berries and grabbed a few to see and taste them.
As I took a bite of the glowing fruit, I melted from the sweetness.
It tasted like cold honey on a warm sunny day.
So, moving quickly, I picked more fruit from the tree and began placing them down.
Once I collected enough fruit, I looked towards the pool of water and thought of ways to make us glasses.
I suddenly had the bright idea to use my magic.
I moved closer to the pool and grabbed a handful of mud.
Using my magic, I shaped it into a glass, and with fire magic, I made it sturdy enough to hold.
This took a lot out of me, but I was able to make two cups for the both of us.
I stood up, grabbed the cups, and added water to them. After that, I placed the cups next to the fruit.
And not wanting to look unpresentable for Mr. Knight, I did my best to clean myself up.
Once I'd done that, I sat back down across from him and waited for him to wake up.
He's gonna be so surprised when he wakes up.
But feeling a bit tired, I decided to take a quick nap before having a tea party with him.
---
I felt my eyes open as I got off the ground and saw Mr. Knight was still in the same spot.
I frowned at this and walked over to him to wake him up myself.
As I finally reached him, I shook him to try to wake him up, but as I did that, Mr. Knight just slumped down on the floor.
"Mr. Knight?" I said, starting to feel a bit worried.
As I tried to reach for him, his body began to sink into black liquid. I was too confused and scared to move.
Once his body was completely gone, I stood there... staring at where Mr. Knight once was.
"Mr. Knight..."
