Vix is in the backyard picking berries.
Alaric runs outside. "Vix! Vix! It's your birthday!"
Vix looks up. "I know, I'm not big on birthdays, no animals really are."
Alaric gets confused. "You don't celebrate your birthday? Do you at least celebrate Valentines?"
Vix shakes his head. "Nope, animals aren't big on holidays either."
"Really? Can Maggie still take us to the mall?" Alaric asks.
Vix looks back up. "Sure, I'm done picking berries anyway."
Vix turns into a human.
Vix and Alaric both walk inside.
"Maggie!" Alaric yells.
Margaret walks downstairs. "What, Al?"
"Can you take me and my friend Vix to the mall?" Alaric asks.
"Do you and Vix have money?" Margaret asks.
"Yes, Mamá and Papá gave me money yesterday." Alaric replies.
Margaret sighs. "Tío Chester, I need a car!"
Chester walks into the living room, then hands Margaret the keys.
"Hello, Papá." Alaric says.
"Hello, Alaric." Chester says.
Margaret looks down at Alaric. "Race you to the car!"
Margaret and Alaric both run to the car. Vix slightly bows. "Goodbye, King Thornheart." Vix then follows Margaret and Alaric out to the car.
Vix gets into the backseat with Alaric.
"Could you please get your seatbelt on?" Margaret asks Vix.
"A seatbelt is this strap on my chest." Alaric whispers.
"Of course I can, Princess Margaret." Vix puts the seatbelt on.
"Your friend's nice, Al." Margaret says.
Alaric giggles. "Cathie doesn't like it, neither do I!"
"What might we be getting at the mall?" Vix asks.
"For me, new clothes." Margaret replies.
"I'd say to look around and play the arcade games at the mall!" Alaric says.
"Do the games cost money?" Vix asks.
Alaric nods.
"Why not download them on a phone, tablet or something then?" Vix asks.
"Because those don't have the knobs." Alaric replies.
-After they get to the mall-
Alaric and Vix go to a food court in the mall.
A waiter is walking past.
"Mx? May we please have a menu?" Vix asks.
"What does Mx mean?" Alaric quietly asks.
The waiter nods, then hands them two menus.
"Mx is a gender neutral term for Ms or Mr, It's better to use for strangers unless they say to call them elsewise." Vix replies.
"That's pretty cool!" Alaric says.
Vix politely asks the waiter to go over.
Vix and Alaric both order the food they want.
-After they eat-
Vix and Alaric are walking around.
"Prince? Would you like to play a claw machine?" Vix asks as he points at a claw machine.
"Yes!" Alaric runs over to the claw machine.
Alaric puts in a quarter and starts playing the claw machine, but he fails.
"Darn, I didn't get the bunny!" Alaric says.
"Why not try again?" Vix asks.
Alaric does try again, multiple times, but every time he fails.
"Why can't I get anything?!" Alaric says, clearly frustrated.
"Did you want me to try, Prince?" Vix asks.
"Sure, but I think it's rigged!" Alaric replies.
Vix tries and easily gets the bunny plush that Alaric wanted, Vix hands it to Alaric.
Alaric is surprised. "You got it really easily?!"
Vix nods. "Did you wanna go home?"
"Sure." Alaric replies.
They get Margaret and all go back to the castle.
