Thane smiled politely. "With his brother as wise as you, of course he will do well."
"I will do my best to guide him, although the new generation knows much more than we do," Zane made eye contact with Thane, "actually..." He hesitated. "I wanted to talk about my relationship with Moren."
Zane rubbed his palms lightly on his trousers before resting his hands on the table. He looked at Thane nervously.
"I care deeply for Moren. I want to stand beside him for the rest of my life."
He drew in a quiet breath."I may sound impatient and emotional… but that's how important he is to me."
Zane's fingers curled slightly, but his voice stayed firm. "If you don't mind, I would like to ask for his hand. I want to bond with him in marriage."
Thane's eyes lit up but he maintained his expression. "If Moren is happy being with you, then why not. I would be more than happy to give my blessings."
Zane clasped his hands and bowed while sitting. "Thank you so much."
