Chapter 41 - OTKE Chapter 41: The Adventurer's Haunt

"Yes, Lord Hades," Hanzo Number One acknowledged the order.

"Can you draw? Hmm...never mind, wait a moment," Hades asked, then remembered something and a black square box suddenly appeared in his hand, which he handed to Hanzo Number One.

"What is this thing, Lord Hades?" Hanzo Number One asked, holding the box.

"You don't know this thing?" Hades asked.

"I don't know," Hanzo Number One said.

"Oh, that's fine, watch me use it," Hades took it back and began to explain the function of the camera to Hanzo.

Although the background of YGGDRASIL was Norse mythology and the level of civilization was limited to the Middle Ages, it was still a game and there were many miscellaneous modern items and props.

Hades had thought that since they were both products of YGGDRASIL, Hanzo should know the camera, but now it seemed that this wasn't the case. The knowledge of these NPCs was probably limited to the basic settings.

Then, after teaching Hanzo Number One how to use the camera, Hades had him hide in the Magic Caster's Guild.

If the upper limit of humans was only level 42, then the natives would be even less likely to discover a monster like Hanzo, which even level 100 NPCs had difficulty discovering.

Hades had wanted to switch to a different appearance and repeat what he had done just now to those two girls to dilute their impression of him, but after thinking about it, he felt that doing so would only make things worse.

Since there was a probability of exposure, instead of making things worse, it was better to send Hanzo here to monitor and record everyone who came here.

Hades speculated that if Momonga wanted to find out who had assassinated him, he would not only investigate in secret, but also use himself as bait to lure the enemy to appear.

Since he knew that the resurrection item was effective, there was a greater possibility that Momonga himself would come forward.

In regular PVP, some players would deliberately lose the first game, not only to paralyze the opponent, but also to find out the opponent's information in order to win the final victory in the next two games.

Hades thought that Momonga would probably take this measure, so there was a possibility that Momonga himself would appear here in the next period of time.

If he came to the Magic Caster's Guild, Hades could also know in advance. But considering his undead appearance, he might send his subordinates, or he might disguise himself.

But in any case, putting himself in his shoes, the probability of Nazarick members coming to the Magic Caster's Guild couldn't be said to be zero. It was very necessary to bury a hidden line in advance.

Hanzo Number One left, and Hades walked out of the alley. Suddenly, he felt a little lost. With the strength of the other world being so low, did he still need to be an adventurer?

Originally, there were three purposes for becoming an adventurer: to earn money, to hide his identity, and to find helpers.

But since there were scrolls in this world, and they were still low-tier scrolls, as long as he found the materials for making scrolls, he could make his own scrolls and sell them at a low price.

He didn't want to use his own materials to make items at all now. Who knew this world would be in such a state? All his materials were strategic materials, even low-tier materials.

As for finding helpers, forget it. Probably a thousand people wouldn't be as useful as summoning a mercenary.

The only thing that could make him continue on the path of an adventurer was to hide his identity.

Helplessly, no matter what, he would still be an adventurer for a while. At least there were no bookstores here where he could buy some books like "World History" to read.

He could get some information from his adventurer teammates, and it wouldn't be too eye-catching.

He had been in a cheerful mood when going to the Magic Caster's Guild, but now his mood became complicated when going to the adventurer's hotel.

Although he knew that "Ainz Ooal Gown" wasn't so easy to eliminate, he hadn't thought that it was an impossible task at the time. But now, if this world was really only at this level, Hades felt that it was better to hide his name and enjoy life as soon as possible.

Anyway, as long as he was determined not to show his face, that group of heteromorphic races couldn't do anything to him, unless they slaughtered the entire world.

With heavy steps, Hades followed the directions on the map and found the adventurer's hotel that Old Burke had mentioned. The half-waist door of the hotel looked a bit like a Western-style bar.

But the sign did say "Hotel." The hotel occupied a large area, and the three-story building was all made of wood, which masked its worn-out appearance and gave it a stylish air.

Although the sun hadn't set yet, it was almost dinner time after Hades had been busy for so long. He could vaguely see some figures in the hotel.

Hades stepped forward and pushed open the double-opening waist door. A smell of alcohol and mildew hit him in the face.

There were dozens of wooden tables in the hall. At the end was a bar, and the bar was filled with various bottles.

A middle-aged man who looked like the owner or a bartender was standing there wiping glasses.

The environment here was very different from the hotel where he was staying. Hades couldn't help but frown. After walking in, the scattered guests gave him unkind looks, and the somewhat noisy environment became quiet.

Those people were wearing things that were obviously protective gear or armor, and some even had weapons on their waists or placed aside. Needless to say, these people were adventurers.

Hades, who was being stared at by many unkind gazes, didn't flinch at all. Because of his identity in the original world, he had experienced all kinds of gazes, and he had even experienced bigger scenes.

But what should he do now? Hades was a little worried. He had come here not to stay at the hotel, but to find adventurer teammates who could explain the basic knowledge of the other world to him. Naturally, he wouldn't go to the bar and ask for a room.

Hades, who was being watched by unkind gazes, scanned the adventurers in the hall, hoping to find someone he could talk to. He instinctively rejected the adventurers who were huddled together.

The adventurers who were huddled together had contemptuous looks in their eyes when they looked at him. It was completely asking for trouble to go to these people. But in addition to contempt, there didn't seem to be any other looks in their eyes.

Perhaps it was because of his physique. Old Burke had said that almost no one other than adventurers would go to adventurer hotels. So when they saw his thin physique, they instinctively thought he was a green bean.

Although the height of his character wasn't low, about 1.8 meters, his physique was more like a weak magic caster compared to those burly people. But his clothes didn't have the style of a magic caster.

As Hades' gaze swept around, he suddenly noticed someone sitting at a round table, there was a person who wasn't looking at him, but was constantly fiddling with a glass bottle.

Very good, you're the one.
