Chapter 171 - Chapter 170 If I said I just slipped, would you believe me?

X-Squad plunged into a desperate chase.

"Peacemaker, what the hell did you throw in there?"

Inside the dolphin-shaped submersible, Peacemaker heard a barrage of curses through his headset.

At this point, concealment was no longer necessary, and he finally spoke the truth:

"That's our mission: a weapon, a genetic weapon capable of eliminating all Atlantians."

Everyone was startled by the information in his words.

"You used a genetic weapon? Are you here to commit Carnage?"

Blackguard was furious; now the Atlantians would surely fight them to the death.

At this moment, Mongal shouted in the channel: "What the hell is all this stuff?!"

It turned out that Polka-Dot Man had grown many glowing pustules all over his body, even on his face.

Mongal was startled by this.

Peacemaker had understood Polka-Dot Man's abilities. As soon as he heard Mongal's words, he immediately realized that Polka-Dot Man's "old problem" had flared up.

So he immediately ordered Polka-Dot Man:

"Polka-Dot Man, your submarine has a special launch bay. Go there and use your ability to give those fish-men behind us a taste of their own medicine!"

Polka-Dot Man remained submissive; he quickly followed Peacemaker's instructions.

"You really are obedient," Mongal couldn't help but retort.

"If we want to get out safely, then it's best to do as he says."

Mongal was noncommittal; she was an alien who believed in force, and in her eyes, Polka-Dot Man had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

She also didn't know Polka-Dot Man's abilities. Did growing glowing pustules count?

But Polka-Dot Man quickly showed her his skills.

In the rear half of the "Turtle" submarine, there was a small, one-person control room, with two slots on the central console for him to insert his hands.

He placed his hands into them, and the equipment on his arms quickly connected to the central console, displaying an image of the submarine's rear on the monitor.

Polka-Dot Man could see the pursuers rapidly approaching; their submarines were much faster than X-Squad's.

Polka-Dot Man hadn't learned to shoot, so he just glanced roughly at the fire control on the display and released the "polka dots" within his body.

Under the conversion of the hand-held equipment, the pustules in his body rapidly disappeared, transforming into a flaky, unknown substance that was ejected through the submarine's launch port.

Countless flaky, colorful "polka dots" blocked the path between X-Squad's submarine and the pursuers.

"What is this..."

The pursuers behind hadn't even clearly seen what they were, and the flaky "polka dots" were too small. By the time the pursuers wanted to cautiously go around, the manta ray submersible had already collided directly with the "polka dots."

Like a corrosive thermite bomb, the manta ray submersible was rapidly eroded by the "polka dots" within seconds, then in a blink of an eye, it spread to the entire submersible.

Finally, even the internal pilot was eroded along with it, leaving no ashes behind.

The remaining pursuers were instantly terrified, quickly turning their handles to steer away.

"Attention! You absolutely cannot touch that stuff!"

Polka-Dot Man's ability was very effective; although its working principle was unknown, it did block some of the pursuers.

Mongal had to admit she had to look at him with new eyes.

However, Polka-Dot Man's ability also had obvious drawbacks: its firing rate was too slow. As long as the opponent was prepared, it was not easy to hit them.

So Polka-Dot Man could only try to spread the "polka dots" out, forming a roadblock similar to a minefield, slightly hindering the pursuers.

But this situation took a sharp turn for the worse when the "Manta Rays" began to concentrate fire and launch ion water cannons!

Before long, the slowest "Turtle" had its engine pierced and came to a halt.

Mongal simply abandoned the submarine and swam out alone. Protected by her battle suit, she was unaffected by the high-intensity water pressure.

But how could she be a match for ion water cannons?

So, before she could even demonstrate her close-quarters combat skills, she was blasted away by the nearest "Manta Ray"!

The N-alloy helped her block this water cannon, but it also temporarily left her in a state of immobility and dizziness.

At this moment, Polka-Dot Man, also with no way out, seized the opportunity to swim out. He raised his hands and threw out the "polka dots" from within his body.

Several "Manta Rays" were caught off guard and hit by the "polka dots," instantly becoming scrap.

However, their pilots, seeing the danger, promptly escaped from the submersible. As soon as they emerged, they immediately targeted Polka-Dot Man, rushing straight towards him!

Polka-Dot Man's combat ability was extremely low; without the "polka dot" superpower, he was a completely ordinary person.

So he was afraid of being approached. Seeing the enemies starting to surround him, he simply laid down "polka dots" all around himself to prevent anyone from getting close.

But he clearly misunderstood something; the Atlantians chasing him showed no intention of taking him alive.

So when he saw those masked and armored figures raise strange-looking rifles, he realized he had made a mistake.

Polka-Dot Man's equipment was primarily designed to allow him to quickly release "polka dots," so its resistance to attacks was not strong.

"I should have escaped first..." Polka-Dot Man murmured.

Then, his body was vaporized by countless ion beams.

"Shit! Shit!"

Blackguard, seeing this scene inside the submarine, cursed a string of obscenities in fright.

He no longer cared about being afraid of Nanaue; he squeezed directly in front of the control panel, desperately driving the painfully slow submarine forward.

Then, a few minutes later, he was still helplessly caught by the "Manta Rays."

"Friend! Play!"

Nanaue saw the "Manta Rays" swim near them, shouted excitedly, and then directly dismantled the submarine and swam out.

Blackguard quickly put on his mask, cursed under his breath, and tried to slip away.

He looked up in Peacemaker's direction and found that the old man's submarine was incredibly fast, already about to cross the city wall!

Blackguard quickly shouted into the channel: "Peacemaker! Wait for me!"

However, inside the "Dolphin" submarine, Peacemaker silently turned off the communication channel, putting the radio into a silent state.

Blackguard shouted for a long time without a response, finally realizing that they had been abandoned. He was furious.

Fortunately, Nanaue was showing off his prowess here, so he hadn't been surrounded by other pursuers yet.

Nanaue, this shark-head, was truly fierce. With his physical strength alone, he could actually go head-to-head with Atlantis's underwater fighters and not fall behind.

Perhaps it was because the sea gave him strength, allowing some of the divine power within him to also revive.

Before long, he fiercely dismantled several "Manta Rays."

The pilots inside had no choice but to jump out and engage Nanaue in close combat.

They had tried, even water cannons couldn't penetrate his skin, so they could only test the power of Atlantis steel.

Blades made of special steel slashed at Nanaue, making him cry out in pain. His skin was cut open, but not deeply.

Effective!

This result invigorated all the Soldiers, and more people drew blades made of Atlantis steel and rushed forward.

But this also successfully stimulated Nanaue's ferocity. He opened his gaping maw, biting anyone who dared to approach.

His bite force was astonishing; the armor on these ordinary Atlantian Soldiers simply couldn't withstand his strength.

Blackguard seemed to see a glimmer of hope, quickly drawing his weapons and attempting to support him.

To allow Blackguard's firepower advantage to be utilized underwater, Checkmate had specially manufactured a batch of underwater bullets for him.

The warheads were as long as pencils, with a special design at the front, so that when the bullets were fired, they would create a continuous supercavitation effect, extending the range to 15 meters... However, Checkmate had not anticipated that the Atlantians' armor was completely bulletproof. The bullets fired by Blackguard made a clang on the Soldiers' armor and then fell off.

This was comparable to someone shooting Superman in the chest with a .38 caliber; the effect could only be described as adorable.

Blackguard's face turned pale, and he stammered, "If I said I just slipped, would you believe me?"

The next second, he was met with countless beam attacks.

Blackguard, RIP!
