Evening arrived, and I had received a dozen calls from Fred which I ignored. He also sent a text, asking if I had gotten his package, and I ignored that as well.
The only thing on my mind was how the night with Dominic would go. I knew he might not want to engage in intercourse until the test results were out.
Doctor Stella gave me samples of the pills. I stared at the packet, wondering if I should take it already or wait until after meeting Malcolm before swallowing it.
Ivy's text came in.
"Have you met him yet? Any gossip?"
Ivy was always so invested in her best friend's affairs. I liked that. It felt soothing to have someone like her as Natalie was no more.
I glanced at the clock, and it revealed the time to be 5:01 pm.
"I'm still at home,"
"Alright, hit me with the gist after you meet him." She added a winking emoji at the end.
"I will," I typed back before setting the phone aside.
