Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 Best-selling coral fish

Above were the dozen or so dishes Ryan could make.

He printed a hundred flyers and distributed them on the first day.

A crowd of people were very interested in the coral fish on the picture, which seemed to be fried potato strips drizzled with red tomato sauce.

They didn't even look at the expensive price; they just ordered as soon as they arrived!

This dish was a bit time-consuming!

As a result, Good Hunter's seats were all filled!

As soon as they sat down, they started thinking about whether to order other dishes from the otherworldly menu!

Suddenly, there was a flurry of activity.

Ryan, who was initially afraid of no one showing interest, became as busy as a spinning top.

He was the only chef for the otherworldly menu, and he simply couldn't keep up.

He immediately went to the menu and wrote down a condition.

Limited to three dishes per day.

Today's dishes:

Braised Pork, coral fish, and Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes!

This was also a unique form of hunger marketing!

Ryan wiped his sweat and adjusted his chef's hat!

Braised Pork could be cooked in a large pot at once, and Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes was so simple that other chefs could help with it.

Only the coral fish was his unique skill here, requiring his personal touch.

Focusing solely on making the Fish and ignoring everything else, his movements became much faster!

However, many customers couldn't wait and decided to come back tomorrow!

"It smells so good!"

Diona, stretching and wagging her tail, walked out of Cat's Tail Tavern and arrived in front of Good Hunter.

"So many people today?"

Looking at the long queue, Diona hesitated a bit.

Should she go somewhere else?

An urgently drawn flyer floated at her feet.

"coral fish?"

She pointed at her chin with her finger, then touched her lips.

"Does this look like Coral? Is it Fish? Or potato strips?"

She walked over to a few customers who had received their coral fish and sniffed the Fish on their plates.

"Tomato sauce, and the smell of Fish…"

"Unique technique and cooking method, I really want to try it!"

Ryan mixed a large basin of sauce, and his kitchen knife sliced through the Fish.

Relying on his mastery of muscle control, each cut was made at a crucial point, without severing the bottom of the Fish meat.

He sliced the Fish meat into thin strips, washed them with clean water, dried them with a towel, seasoned them with salt and cooking wine, and then coated them in Flour.

Deep-fried in abundant oil.

Then he made the sauce and poured it over the golden, Coral-shaped Fish meat.

"This is bad! We're out of Fish!"

A waiter said anxiously.

Since it was the first day, they hadn't properly estimated the amount of ingredients Ryan would need when they stocked up.

Now, even if they used the Fish prepared for Mondstadt Grilled Fish, it wouldn't be enough.

"What?" Ryan frowned, "Go find Sara!"

A few minutes later, under the puzzled gazes of the customers, the otherworldly menu stopped taking orders.

Young Miss Sara apologized for the insufficient preparation and hoped that customers who hadn't tasted the dishes would return tomorrow.

She stated that coral fish would be reserved as a dish for the second day.

"Darn it! Just barely missed it."

Diona, who was about to order, bristled with anger.

She didn't get to eat the Fish!

She really wanted to bite that annoying chef!

"Oh, oh, oh, it's finally over!" Kaeya, in the shadows, held three takeout boxes.

After following for a day, he was also hungry.

It was a good chance to try the otherworldly dishes.

"The Lawrence Family's…" Suddenly, Kaeya's gaze sharpened as he looked at the carriage parked nearby.

He saw the aristocrat mark on it and the figure seated inside the carriage.

"Things are getting interesting!"

At 8:30 PM, Ryan got off work.

He saved a portion of Braised Pork and coral fish for himself to take back to Amber.

He also packed two Mondstadt dishes.

For two people, it was quite a feast.

Arriving at the door, he saw that the lights were already on inside.

"Amber, I'm home!"

Baron Bunny opened the door.

Amber was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Amber?" Ryan asked, puzzled.

Baron Bunny made a series of unclear gestures, trying to tell him something.

But Ryan guessed for a long time and couldn't understand.

Until Amber came from behind with a stranger.

"I heard you were busy at Good Hunter, so I went to Knights of Favonius Headquarters to report on the situation outside Mondstadt today."

Amber's face was a little red in the dim light.

When she came back today, everyone she met asked her if she was housing an otherworldly Liyue person at home.

What did she feel about him? Did she like him? What was his name?

Even with Amber's simple nature, she felt their embarrassing teasing.

Why didn't Acting Grand Master Jean warn her back then!

"Oh, right! This is a Knights of Favonius physician; it's a good chance to have him check your body."

Seeing Ryan scrutinizing the stranger, Amber came back to her senses and immediately introduced him.

He hadn't expected her to still keep this matter in mind. Ryan was touched.

His body was already fine and didn't need any treatment.

At this moment, he cooperated fully with the physician's examination, not wanting to waste Amber's kindness.

The physician took out some Alchemy equipment and foreign goods from his briefcase that Ryan didn't understand.

He performed a complex full-body examination on him.

Ryan's mind raced, could he discover the secret of his body's evolution?

He watched intently, but the other party didn't take a single drop of blood or a strand of hair.

He tested the element power concentration in the blood on the spot and then returned the test tube containing the blood to him.

This made Ryan even more suspicious.

Amber asked the physician about Ryan's condition with great concern, not noticing anything unusual.

As soon as the physician left!

Ryan composed himself and invited Amber to a thank-you feast.

Amber had a special fondness for meat!

The Braised Pork and coral fish earned her great praise.

"Ryan, your cooking is amazing! And you became a chef at Good Hunter so quickly, with booming business!"

"You're incredible!"

"You've already mastered the common language and Mondstadtian I taught you yesterday. When you speak those few sentences, it's like you've lived here for over a decade."

Amber looked admiringly.

Ryan calmly told her about his day's itinerary.

Amber listened intently.

"Actually, the Knights of Favonius allocated some Mora to me to cover your expenses during your study period. You don't need to work so hard."

After hearing his story, Amber could imagine how much courage and inner strength a person who didn't speak the language needed to seek work when talking.

Her nose involuntarily tingled.

She seemed to sense Ryan's insecurity, his stubbornness about being dependent on others and not wanting to trouble anyone.

"When we're done eating, please continue teaching me the common language!"

Ryan started clearing the dishes.

"Wait, I'll go take a shower first! I'm sweaty and stinky!" Amber took off her bunny ear knot and tossed it aside.

She hurried to her room, grabbed her clothes, and headed to the washroom.

"Hey! Taking a shower right after eating isn't good for your body!" Ryan called out.

"It's fine!" Amber replied from the washroom.

"Baron Bunny?" Ryan looked down.

He saw Baron Bunny, just like yesterday, steadfastly guarding the washroom door, his face full of vigilance, as if saying, 'You're a bad person.'

He smiled helplessly and went to wash the dishes.

A faint fragrance lingered at his nostrils. Amber, in her pajamas, revealed her fair wrists and clean feet, drying her hair with a towel.

She sat next to Ryan and, with her seemingly tireless and energetic voice, taught him the common language and Mondstadtian.

Even though he had been working hard all day, Ryan muttered and studied even more diligently.

At first, seeing Amber like this made his heart flutter a little.

Perhaps with a way to make a living, his life finally stabilized, and his mood relaxed, leading to various romantic thoughts.

The emotional impact was stronger than yesterday.

It took him more time to concentrate.

One hour, two hours, three hours…

His brain operated at high speed, and internal hormones affecting memory continuously surged.

Unconsciously, his brain began to evolve.
