Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 Plants and Minerals, Wind God Chasing Pets

Ryan wiped the blood from his face, looking like a demon.

He picked up the crossbow and shot three arrows at the Hydro Samachurl.

Enduring a water pillar, he charged forward and plunged his sword into the body of the old Hilichurl, who was blessed with Talents and had learned element chanting.

"The protection of the Spring, although the Spring Sprite didn't say it, I can feel its boost to Hydro element resistance."

Blue water light rippled around Ryan.

"The injuries on my body are lighter than I imagined."

He cast aside the Samachurl's corpse and dealt with the still-living Shield Hilichurl.

He reeked of blood!

Ryan took a bucket of water from his backpack and poured it over himself, letting the pure water wash away all the contamination.

He lightly treated his superficial wounds.

The effect of the blessing was that the more water he was in, the shorter the healing time and the stronger the healing ability.

Ryan naturally had a wild idea: what to do if there was no river or pond nearby? He would simply carry water with him.

Although this small amount of water only provided life force equivalent to putting a band-aid on his body or applying some ointment, it was better than nothing.

In an emergency, it could save his life!

After the battle, he looted the bodies.

Ryan rummaged through, finding a Heavy Horn, a Divining Scroll, a Damaged Mask, several hundred Mora... these Alchemy Materials.

The Samachurl's staff, after its death, seemed to become an ordinary item.

In Mondstadt, he had never heard of anyone who could use it.

"Thank you! Thank you very much! May I ask your name, brother?" Fara was a fruit vendor, and observing people's expressions and pleasing customers were basic skills for him.

Seeing a Liyue person, he could even speak a few words of Liyue-flavored common language.

"Ryan!" Ryan reported his name.

"My name is Fara!" Fara introduced himself, and then explained why he was being chased by Hilichurls.

"The inn over there was occupied by Hilichurls. I came from that direction, saw them from afar, didn't dare to charge forward, and was directly blocked for two days and two nights."

He spoke with resentment and lingering fear,

"Seeing that the fruits in the cart couldn't be stored for too long and were about to soften and rot! I had no choice but to take a risk at the deepest part of the night, waiting for the Hilichurls to sleep."

"I didn't expect to still cause a commotion; I was discovered just as I passed the inn."

Fara walked to the severely damaged cart, sighing.

"Now, it'll take some time to repair it! I'll also have to go back to the inn to get some sturdy planks and ropes."

"I hope it can last until I return to Mondstadt City!"

He looked at the pitiful Wind Slime, feeling a bit fortunate that this big treasure hadn't exploded. Otherwise, he would have to drag the cart back.

The strong sense of déjà vu, it was like a game scene reappearing, Ryan's expression was strange.

This person seems to be very unlucky, often attacked by Hilichurls, and his cart gets damaged!

However, he always manages to survive and be rescued, which also means he's lucky and very resilient.

Fara checked the goods: "Damn it, a lot of the fruit got smashed!"

He picked out a bag of Sunsettia and Berries that were in relatively good condition.

"Thank you, Mr. Ryan, these things are my thanks! If you return to Mondstadt, you can come to my stall to buy fruit. I will definitely sell you the biggest and best, and give you a 70% discount!"

Ryan gladly accepted. No Mora, but fruit wasn't bad!

Just right, he was tired of dry rations these past few days.

The two came to the inn, which had huge wooden sheds built on both sides of the canyon.

There was straw and wooden boxes all over the ground, as well as some carrots, potatoes, and other vegetables that the Hilichurls had stolen.

Nearby, there was a pond.

Ryan rested for a while, feeding the horses water and food.

He went to take a bath himself.

In the pond, where no one had been for a long time, the ice mist flower that had been picked, leaving only its roots, bloomed again.

With a chill, the blue and white flowers made Ryan happy.

"An unexpected gain!"

He quickly saw two small Ice Slimes formed by Ice Element next to the ice mist flower!

He directly used his crossbow from a distance, kiting them and shooting for a long time until they were defeated.

Carrying a torch, he stepped onto the water surface and used Fire Element to harvest the ice mist flower.

No matter if it was useful or not! He would collect it first.

At worst, he could sell it back in Mondstadt City.

He happily took a bath, not even needing to take off his clothes.

Stepping ashore, water droplets rolled off, and he was completely dry and refreshed.

On the way back to the inn, he watched Fara, who had been trying to salvage the cart with planks and ropes for a long time.

He couldn't help but sigh.

There were too many monsters on the roads of Mondstadt.

Hilichurls were everywhere, no wonder no delivery person could reach the Dawn Winery within the specified time.

Ordinary people either waited in place for help or tried to find a way around. Could they not waste time?

Even if they thought they were skilled enough to deal with Hilichurls, they couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't get injured.

Life was clearly more important than a bonus.

"Goodbye! I hope you fix your cart soon and don't encounter any more Hilichurls on the road!" Ryan bid farewell to Fara and continued on his journey in the carriage.

From time to time, he would bite into a Sunsettia and eat a Berry.

It was his breakfast for the day.

Ryan saw traces of minerals appearing on the cliffs on both sides, in addition to ordinary Iron Ore, there were also purple Electro Crystals crackling with electricity, surrounded by large and small Thunder Slimes.

The plants and minerals of Teyvat were very magical; as long as the roots and mineral base were preserved, they would recover under the aggregation and precipitation of elements, and could be harvested again.

For example, the ice mist flower was an aggregation of Ice Element.

Electro Crystal was an aggregation of Raiden Shogun's Puppets.

Ordinary Iron Ore was a derivative of the Rock Element, an Impurities of the ley lines.

Compared to White Iron Ore, Crystal Ore, and Magical Crystal Ore, its quality was the worst.

But the quantity was the most!

These items, which could quickly recover over time, led to the low cost of weapons in Teyvat, and their selling prices also became extremely low.

Low-end weapons were rampant, while powerful weapons remained scarce.

Powerful weapons required Ore, but more importantly, they required Alchemy Materials and legendary sublimation.

The latter was very rare, ensuring the high price and preciousness of three- and four-star weapons.

The Sky suddenly darkened!

Dvalin's Dragon roar, which he hadn't heard for a long time, appeared in the Sky.

Ryan looked up; he seemed to see a tiny green figure behind the Dragon's silhouette.

"Green, white silk?"

"Barbatos?"

His excellent eyesight allowed him to clearly see the other party flying in the Sky without using a Wind Glider.

His entire attire made him suspect the Bard even more.

"Roar!" The Dragon roar was filled with anger.

A blinding storm suddenly swept through, forming violent air currents in the canyon, blowing everything away.

The entire carriage was bumpy and unstable.

Ryan cursed.

He hurriedly urged the horse to the side to avoid the storm.

The storm lasted for a while, leaving with Stormterror.

However, the clouds it brought poured down heavy rain.

The entire road became muddy, with puddles accumulating.

The abundance of Hydro element spawned Hydro Slimes!

Ryan cleared out two, then was too lazy to kill any more.

As soon as the storm stopped, he urged the horses to gallop, shaking off the jumping, colliding Slimes.

The rain didn't stop all day.

The carriage was waterproof, so there was no need to worry.

He himself was a companion of water, so he didn't need to worry either.

But these two horses, after being soaked in the rain all day, were hypothermic, their steps became slow and weak, as if they were sick!

Even the strongest body couldn't endure several days of travel, enduring the sun, the stars, and the ravages of wind and rain.

Misfortunes never come singly!

Ryan gritted his teeth in anger at Stormterror!

What the hell was he flying around for?!

Now, not only was the strongest delivery person's bonus gone, but if something happened to these two Good Hunter's signature horses, he might even have to pay compensation.

He urged the horses to hold on a little longer, Ryan saw what appeared to be bright yellow lights ahead, where a cluster of tents and travelers had gathered.

He decided to stop and rest again.
