Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

Inside the wax turtle shell, the agents huddled together in a suffocating mess.

"Wait… wait a second! This is my safe house! It's not just Golden Week—fine, I'll admit she's my partner—but why did all of you squeeze in here?!" Mr. 3 roared in outrage.

"What are you whining about, Mr. 3?!" Bentham—the flamboyant Okama known as Mr. 2—snapped back, his voice shrill. "If we didn't rush inside, we'd all be dead! And by the way, couldn't you have made this thing bigger?!"

"In that kind of situation, this was my limit!" Mr. 3 shouted defensively.

"Is that… the Fairy Queen, Erza?!" another agent stammered, cold sweat dripping down her forehead, her clothes in tatters and blood trailing from cuts on her arms.

She had barely survived Erza's earlier sword storm, her body slashed simply because she couldn't dodge fast enough.

"Are you kidding me?! What kind of power does that woman have? She almost killed us all with a single attack!" Miss Valentine cried out, disbelief painted across her face.

"It's too crowded in here~~~" the small girl, Miss Golden Week, grumbled, her face squished and distorted from the crush.

"Sorry…" Mr. 4 mumbled, his massive body taking up most of the space.

"I told you—stop shoving me! I can't breathe!"

All the agents shouted in frustration, finally bursting open the shell to gulp down fresh air greedily.

"…Are these guys idiots?" Nami muttered under her breath.

"Wait, Nami!" Juvia's sharp eyes swept the field. "Someone's missing!"

Her gaze narrowed. "Underground!"

"I'll handle it!" Nami answered instantly.

Her grip tightened around the Taurus Whip, golden magic light pulsing along its length. With a fierce swing, she slammed it into the ground.

"Earth Waves!!!"

The golden energy burst outward with a deafening roar, splitting the earth apart in a violent quake.

"Gyaaaahhh!!"

From beneath the soil, Miss Merry Christmas—transformed into her mole form with her Zoan Devil Fruit—was blasted upward by the shockwave. She let out a piercing scream before collapsing unconscious on the spot.

"Ten million for me!" Nami laughed, sticking out her tongue with smug satisfaction.

"Ahahaha! Don't get cocky! It's our turn to strike back!!!"

The harsh cackle came from above.

At some point, Miss Valentine had floated into the air over Nami's head.

"I ate the Kilo-Kilo Fruit," she sneered. "I can freely change my own weight. Get ready to be crushed by ten thousand kilograms—Grrrk!!"

Her sentence ended in a strangled gurgle.

Because Juvia had already moved.

"Water Prison!"

With a wave of her hand, water formed from the air itself, swirling into a sphere that encased Valentine midair. The liquid sphere tightened instantly, holding her fast.

Even an Emperor-class powerhouse would sink helplessly if thrown into the ocean. For someone like Miss Valentine? There was no escape.

Before Juvia even followed up, Valentine's eyes rolled back, her body going limp as she fainted.

"So weak!" Juvia exclaimed, almost disappointed.

"It's not that they're weak…" Vivi whispered in awe, "it's that Fairy Tail is too strong."

"This… this is insane! What kind of ability does that blue-haired woman have?!" Mr. 3 shrieked, his eyes bulging in terror.

"She—she can summon and control water out of thin air?! Is she some kind of Logia user? A Water Fruit?!" Bentham gasped, his flamboyant face twisting in shock.

"Water is the natural enemy of all Devil Fruit users. If such a thing really exists… she's invincible!" another agent muttered, her usually calm voice trembling.

They had all realized it—their Devil Fruit powers were nearly useless against Juvia's water mastery.

"In short, she's not someone we can deal with. Mr. 4, it's your turn!" Mr. 3 snapped desperately.

"Yes," the hulking man replied in his dull monotone, hefting his enormous four-ton bat like a baseball player at the plate.

"Juvia, leave this one to me!" Nami shouted, eager fire in her eyes.

With every enemy defeated, she earned another ten million Berries. That was all the motivation she needed.

The Taurus Whip lashed out, wrapping around the metal bat in Mr. 4's hands.

"Wha—?!"

Before he even realized what happened, his weapon was yanked away.

Boom!

Beside him, the dachshund Bazooka-Lasso spat out a ticking time bomb. Normally, Mr. 4 would've hit it with his bat, sending it flying at the enemy. But with his weapon gone, the rhythm broke.

Panic flashed across his dull eyes as the beeping grew shrill—

Boom!!!

The explosion engulfed him instead, blasting his massive body off his feet.

But his enormous bulk was like a tank. Even the bomb couldn't finish him in one strike.

And that was when Nami struck again.

"Nami Flying Kick!!!"

With a sharp cry, she leapt into the air, her body twisting into Leo's iconic flying kick stance.

Wham!!!

Her heel connected squarely with Mr. 4's jaw, sending the mountain of flesh flying like a ragdoll.

Boom!

He slammed into the ground with a thunderous crash.

"Twenty million! Yes!!" Nami cheered, flashing a victory sign with her fingers, her eyes sparkling with joy.
