Sky Island, Cloud Shinobi Village
This was the village of the Sandia clan.
Four hundred years ago, Gaya Island had been carried to an altitude of 10,000 meters by a massive soaring current. The island that originally belonged to the Sandians was invaded by the god of Sky Island at that time, and it was renamed the Island of the Gods—Apayado.
Due to the high-altitude lack of oxygen, even Sandia warriors under the legendary Carl Gala could only retreat. They established their village outside the Island of the Gods and named it Cloud Shinobi Village.
Thus began a four-hundred-year-long conflict between the Sandia people and the Sky Island inhabitants. The battle only truly ended five years ago—but victory did not belong to the Sandians. Nor were the Sky Islanders the winners.
The true victor was an outsider.
Five years ago, Enel, the destroyer of Birka, led the Gods to Sky Island. With overwhelming power, he crushed both the Sky Island people and the Sandia clan, establishing himself as the new god of Sky Island.
Since then, the enemies of the Sandia clan became Enel and his God Soldiers. Occasionally, the old gods of Sky Island would intervene, creating three-way battles.
But… three days ago, the relationship between the Sandia clan and the old god of Sky Island, Sky Knight Ganfur, had been reconciled. Now, there was no tension at first contact—all thanks to a kind girl: Fairy Tail Sky Wizard Wendy.
Three days prior, Wendy and her companion Xia Lulu—summoned to the One Piece World by Sugisawa Yuuto—had arrived on Sky Island. Alone, they met the old god Ganfur, who received them warmly. Wendy and Xia Lulu were immediately impressed by the kind-hearted elder.
Shortly after, Ganfur went out on a patrol. On the way, he was unfortunately caught in the crossfire between the Sandia warriors and the Divine Soldiers. The three factions fought fiercely, suffering heavy casualties.
At that moment, Wendy followed Ganfur to the battlefield. Seeing the injured, she acted without hesitation, using her sky magic to heal the Sandia warriors. Several who had been on the brink of death were miraculously saved.
It was because of this selfless act that the Sandia people—long known for their xenophobia—welcomed Wendy and Xia Lulu, regarding Wendy as a saintly figure. Even the old god Ganfur no longer opposed the Sandia clan, and conflict would not erupt at first sight.
Back to the present, outside Cloud Shinobi Village, Baibaihai.
The Fairy Tail guild ship skimmed across the waves.
"Look! A village… built on a cloud!" Nami exclaimed, her eyes wide.
"This is unbelievable. Islands can exist ten thousand meters above the sea—and people actually live on clouds?" Even the well-informed Erza couldn't hide her surprise. This was a mysterious sight she had never witnessed in the world of Fairy Tail.
"If only I could float on a soft cloud with the president… wow, just thinking about it…" Juvia giggled, slightly out of breath from excitement.
"If Shandora, the legendary land of gold, really exists… then does this place hold its history as well?" Robin's expression grew thoughtful, her curiosity sharpening.
"What a spectacular view… but President Yuuto, why are we here?" Mirajan asked, puzzled.
"Well… you'll see soon enough." Sugisawa Yuuto smiled mysteriously.
"The locals don't seem too pleased to see us," he added just as the whistling sound of wind broke through the air.
Suddenly, Sandia warriors, led by War Ghost Webber, sprinted across the White Sea, their feet equipped with shell gear, and surrounded the Fairy Tail crew.
"Who are you? What business brings you here?" snapped Praying Mantis Kamakili.
"Judging by your clothing, you're not from Sky Island… you're from the sea level? From Qinghai!" Sandia warrior Laki assessed.
"Leave now, Qinghai people! You are not welcome here!" War Ghost Waver, the strongest Sandia warrior, shouted.
"I'll give you three seconds… three, two…" He raised his incendiary cannon.
"Wait! Stop! Webber, Laki, don't touch them—they're the Fairy Tail partners Wendy and Xia Lulu were expecting! Look at that mark!" screamed Aisha, a young Sandian girl.
"That sign…"
"Really… it's the same logo as Wendy and Xia Lulu!"
All the Sandia warriors froze, shocked.
Next moment…
"President! Everyone!" the girl cried out in surprise.
Using her wing magic, Xia Lulu landed Wendy directly onto the deck of Fairy Tail.
"Wendy! Xia Lulu!"
"It's Wendy and Xia Lulu!"
"So that's why the president brought us here!" Erza, Juvia, and Mirajan exclaimed, delighted.
"Miss Erza, Miss Mira, Miss Juvia… and President Yuuto! Woohoo! You're finally here!" Wendy rushed forward, hugging familiar partners and Yuuto one by one.
"Wendy? Xia Lulu? Are they also Fairy Tail members?" Vivi tilted her head in confusion.
"Well… depending on the circumstances, yes. In short, Fairy Tail's members aren't just on this ship—they're also partners scattered elsewhere. The details… we'll leave them out for now," Nami explained.
"Oh," Vivi nodded blankly. Robin, ever perceptive, didn't question the situation further.
"Wendy, let me introduce everyone—these are also Fairy Tail members: Nami, Vivi, Robin, Marianne, and our Super Duck Karoo. Everyone, this is Wendy and Xia Lulu," Erza said.
With the sign of partnership, Nami and the others quickly bonded with Wendy.
Meanwhile, thanks to Wendy, the Sandia warriors no longer viewed Sugisawa Yuuto and his crew as intruders.
"Everyone, these are the president and partners of Fairy Tail I've told you about," Wendy proudly announced to the Sandia.
"Since you're Wendy's partners, you're friends of the Sandia too! Go prepare food and wine!" the Sandia chieftain commanded.
At that moment, the old chief's gaze fell on the chestnut-haired man standing before the statue of the legendary Warrior Carl Gala. His eyes widened as he stepped forward.
"Could it be… you… are you a descendant of Nolando?"
The mention of 'Nolando' caused even the calm Sandia to erupt.
The strongest warrior, War Ghost Weber, rushed forward to Wen Braun Kulik.
"I am a descendant of Nolando! My ancestor Nolando was once friends with this very statue, the great Warrior Carl Gala!"
"That's right! Braun Nolando and my great ancestor Carl Gala were best friends!" Weber's eyes glistened red with emotion.
Four hundred years ago, the soaring ocean currents had separated them. Nolando, called the "King of Liars," died in disgrace, and Carl Gala died of grief over failing his promise to his friend.
Now, four centuries later, their descendants reunited before the statue, marking the perfect conclusion to a long-ago bond.
"Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
The news king Morgans screamed in excitement, capturing the historic moment with his camera.
