Devil's Triangle
This was the infamous Lost Sea of the Grand Line.
From ancient times to the present, at least a hundred ships vanished into the thick, impenetrable fog each year. Some emerged later as ghost ships, drifting aimlessly, crewless. No one truly knew what happened inside the mist.
In the past decade, the rumors surrounding this area had grown darker and stranger: living zombies, skeletons roaming freely over the waves, and other unspeakable horrors. Even the most ruthless pirates gave it a respectful, wary berth.
But Sugisawa Yuuto, a time traveler, felt no fear.
The so-called living zombies were nothing more than the creations of Shichibukai Moria, using his Shadow Fruit ability. Yet Yuuto knew better than anyone that Moria hadn't created the Devil's Triangle itself.
Even before Moria anchored his Thriller Bark here, strange occurrences had plagued the fog-shrouded waters. Ancient legends spoke of mysterious forces unknown to the world. According to the original timeline, when the Straw Hat Crew left this area, the enormous figure looming in the fog might have been the true source of the strange events. This warranted close attention.
As for the "skeleton legendary" running rampant at sea—others might be ignorant, but Yuuto knew the truth.
That skeleton was Brook, the sole survivor of the Rumba Pirates. About fifty years ago, the Rumba Pirates had been wiped out in this very sea, and Brook had died from poisoning. But having consumed the Paramecia Huangquan Fruit, he could return to life.
Normally, after the death of someone with the powers of the Underworld Fruit, their soul would return from hell and immediately reunite with their body. But Brook had been lost. His soul wandered for two years before finding his skeletal body, leaving him trapped in a unique undead state.
Yuuto was aware of this, and two months prior, he had made an agreement with the whale Laboon at Gemini Cape. While the arrangement had a one-year deadline, Yuuto aimed to resolve it sooner—to avoid unnecessary worry.
"Then it's decided. Find Brook as quickly as possible, bring him back to Twin Point, and the job's done."
With that, Yuuto became a streak of lightning, vanishing into the misty waters.
One Week Later – Fairy Tail
"Ah, you're finally back, President! How's the mission? Did you find the Rumba Pirates?" Mira stepped forward, fixing Yuuto's messy clothes.
"The Rumba Pirates? The commission from the whale at Gemini Cape?" Robin, resting after finishing several tasks, took over the conversation.
"Well, it's been fifty years. Not finding them immediately isn't surprising."
Robin had already guessed. This was the first time in history that the guild president had returned from a mission without immediate success.
She had examined the whale's commission multiple times. In such a vast sea, tracking someone missing for fifty years was almost impossible. Most likely, the Rumba Pirates had been wiped out long ago.
Robin's thinking was normal for someone uninformed. But Yuuto, as a time traveler, knew the truth: survivors of the Rumba Pirates were still wandering somewhere in that sea.
Even so, after a week of searching, Yuuto had found no trace of them. Even for him, frustration was unavoidable.
If Yuuto remembered correctly, this was probably Fairy Tail's first mission failure—even with him personally leading it.
"It's okay. If we didn't succeed this time, we will next time. There's still time—don't worry!" Erza comforted him.
Yuuto sighed and shook his head. It wasn't until Mira leaned close and whispered in his ear that his gloomy eyes brightened, and his usual determination returned.
The Next Day
Energized after what Mira called her "reward," Yuuto immediately took on six pirate extermination commissions at once. Though the mission to find Brook had failed, Fairy Tail never failed again afterward.
In the span of two months, the guild completed over sixty commissions, destroying more than thirty pirate groups, saving countless families. With Yuuto and Erza leading, every encounter ended in a crushing victory.
Wendy's team had a bumpier path, but she consistently turned the tide in critical moments, earning praise from Nami, Vivi, and the others. Wendy herself, however, remained modest, seeing her achievements as "substitute fights."
The guild's continued successes also brought personal growth:
Vivi received her second Zodiac Star Suit—the Sagittarius Star Suit.
Nami awakened her third Protoss skill, surpassing even the Zodiac Star Spirits in practicality.
Marianne's painting magic reached new heights, occasionally producing strange, unpredictable creations, showing immense potential.
Erza, Juvia, Wendy, and Xia Lulu also improved. Yuuto, as guild leader, pushed everyone to elevate their abilities further. Once they were ready, Fairy Tail could march to the New World and challenge the top powers directly.
Yuuto himself had also grown. With the Thunder Fruit, his Thunder Dragon King Mode had officially activated. Almost at Ultimate level, the mode remained silent until he faced a worthy opponent. Once unleashed, it could shake the world.
The guild leveled up consecutively three times in two months, reaching level 13. Rewards followed:
At Level 11, Yuuto unlocked Fire Dragon Slayer Magic, Natsu's legendary power.
Now, Yuuto could combine fire and lightning to form the Lei Yanlong Mode, though full integration required further mastery and possibly the Logia Mera-Mera Fruit to unlock the ultimate Flame Dragon King Mode.
Fairy Tail members rejoiced, while pirates and underground criminal forces suffered.
New World – De Reiss Rosa, Underground Trading Port
The dark world's greatest figures gathered via video conference: Doflamingo, Luffield, Umit, Jigula, and others.
"Fufufufu, quite a sight!" Doflamingo laughed.
"This isn't the time for jokes! We're here to counter Fairy Tail!" Luffield snapped.
Over the past two months, Fairy Tail had disrupted organ trade shipments, human trafficking, and mercenary operations. The dark forces were in turmoil.
Morgens appeared on the screen.
"Wahaha! Don't be so agitated. I'm just reporting news. Fairy Tail is only fulfilling commissions. Attacking them would be another matter…"
"Damn traitor Birdman! We'll deal with Fairy Tail and then you!" Jigula growled.
Before plans could advance, news arrived: Fairy Tail had already smashed their bases in Paradise. Panic swept through the underground world.
Grand Line – Underground Island
True to its name, this island hid its darkness beneath a seemingly ordinary surface. Funded by the underground giants, it was a haven for lawless trade—safe even from brutal pirates.
Until now.
Chaos reigned. Brilliant sword strikes lit the shadows: Erza, the Fairy Queen, was here.
A few days prior, her team had received a tracing commission—initially to locate a smuggled girl. But their investigation had grown complicated.
Led by Morgens' tip, Erza tracked the situation to the underground island. She saw the population auction for the first time. For her, someone with an unyielding sense of justice, it was intolerable. Even without a commission, she acted. Robin and Marianne followed her orders precisely.
Despite numerous dark force thugs, Erza's overwhelming strength left them powerless.
"I sense someone escaping through the underground passage. I'll go after them!" Erza declared.
"Careful! I'll follow as soon as I finish here," Robin said.
Due to the labyrinthine layout, Robin struggled to catch up immediately. By the time they reached the shore, the fleeing party was preparing to escape by ship.
Robin extended her hand, summoning a massive wooden arm—but it froze midair as a sudden cold swept across the sea, freezing both her magic and the fleeing criminals.
Jingle bell~
A curly-haired man rode a bicycle across the frozen waves, swaying slightly.
"Ah la la, Fairy Tail, what a marvelous guild!"
