Chapter 229 - Chapter 229

Above the raging battlefield of Marineford, the floating plaza of Sky Island shimmered under the sunlight.

"Everyone, are you ready?" Erza called out, her crimson hair fluttering in the wind.

"W-Wait! Just one more second—it'll be done soon!" cried Nami, hurriedly checking her reflection in a polished mirror. Vivi, Robin, and the others fussed over their hair, making sure every detail was perfect.

"Alright then!" Mirajane smiled, her voice firm but bright. "Let's go!"

With her command, Fairy Tail took flight.

Moments later—

Under the stunned gazes of tens of thousands gathered at Naval Headquarters, the grand ship Fairy Tail soared across the sky, descending over the battlefield like a divine omen.

The world itself seemed to freeze.

Even the fiercest clashes halted as every eye turned upward in awe.

"President!"

"Master Yuuto!"

"Guildmaster!"

"President Sugisawa Yuuto!"

The voices of Fairy Tail's members rang out with joy as they waved from the deck, their elegant Japanese-style outfits fluttering in the wind.

"President!"

With a soft rustle of wings, Erza leapt from the ship, landing beside Sugisawa Yuuto on the ground below.

"Why are you all here?" Yuuto asked helplessly, shaking his head with a faint smile.

He had left quietly for a reason—wanting to act alone this time. He was confident he could handle this incident on his own. The guild didn't need to involve itself. His plan had been for them to relax, take a real vacation… not dive into another war.

"Seriously, President," Erza said, frowning lightly. "How could we not come for something this big?"

"That's right, President!" Nami chimed in. "You can't keep us in the dark for something like this!"

"We're Fairy Tail," Vivi said proudly. "We're family—and family always stands together!"

"Don't treat us like decoration pieces!" Juvia declared, her blue hair glinting in the sun. "We can fight too!"

"As long as it's for the Guildmaster," Robin added softly, "we'll risk everything."

Yuuto sighed, but a warm smile tugged at his lips. "Alright, alright. Since you're all here… let's fight together."

"Yeah!!!"

"Jie ha ha ha ha!"

High above, Golden Lion Shiki circled through the air, laughing wildly. His face, weathered by time, was twisted into a mocking grin.

"Sengoku! Garp! Now look who's cornered! With you two old men, how long can you last against the main force of our Fairy Tail!?"

"Hateful…!" growled Marshal Sengoku, clenching his fists until his knuckles turned white. His face was a storm of frustration.

If it had been only Yuuto, he and Garp could have barely contained him. The rest of the Marines could still focus on dealing with Whitebeard's forces.

But the situation had completely spiraled out of control.

Golden Lion Shiki had appeared as Fairy Tail's captain.

And now, the main force of Fairy Tail had arrived.

"Damn it, they're all here!"

"Everyone from Fairy Tail came!"

"There aren't many of them, but those girls… they're monsters in human form!"

"Fairy Tail's lineup is worth several Yonko crews combined!"

"Even a full force of a hundred thousand men might not stop them!"

"It's a nightmare! A complete disaster!"

The Marine elites shouted in despair.

Yes—most of Fairy Tail's members were young women.

But no one dared underestimate them.

Battle after battle, incident after incident, they had proven their might.

Each one of them was a force capable of taking down an army.

And now, with Yuuto's permission, they were finally moving.

The first to strike were Yamato and Levy.

"Out of the way! Thunder—Eight Trigrams!!!"

Yamato swung her massive kanabō, lightning and crimson energy bursting outward. The Marines' siege line shattered like glass before her.

"Ace! You're alive—that's amazing!" she cried, grinning.

"Yamato… thank you," Ace replied, both shocked and grateful.

"Luffy! You alright?" Levy called out, her eyes filled with concern.

"Heehee! I'm fine! Totally fine!" laughed the Straw Hat boy, flashing his trademark grin.

"Idiot Sabo! I knew you couldn't stay away!" Koala scolded, grabbing Sabo's ear. "And you even dragged Mr. Lindbergh, Mr. Morley, and Mr. Karas here!"

"Ow ow ow! That hurts!" Sabo yelped, wincing.

"Hahaha! Miss Nami, Miss Vivi, Miss Robin—you're all here too. Truly reliable as ever!" said Silvers Rayleigh, his laughter booming warmly.

"No, no, Mr. Rayleigh, the honor's ours!" Vivi said shyly, scratching her cheek.

"We were asked by Levy to come," Nami said with a grin. "Besides, I can't help feeling a strange bond with Luffy. Right, Robin?"

Robin nodded gently. "Mm."

While Yamato and Nami's group joined the chaos, another front was already forming elsewhere.

The trio of Ulu, Ultear, and Bonney stepped into the plaza at Marineford's heart—standing before Admiral Aokiji and the towering Tyrant Kuma.

"You're the Ice Magician," Aokiji said, his gaze sharpening as frost gathered around him.

"The man who ate the Frozen-Frozen Fruit…" Ulu replied evenly, her tone calm and cold. "A fight between us would be poetic—but you're not our target today."

She turned to Ultear. "Go, Bonney."

Ultear gave Bonney a gentle push.

Bonney took a deep breath, her heart pounding. She knew what she had to do—but fear still gnawed at her chest.

Vegapunk had promised her that it could work. But promises and reality were different things.

She stepped forward, her voice trembling yet strong.

"Daddy… wake up!!!" she screamed.

The entire battlefield fell silent.

Daddy?

A ripple of disbelief spread through the ranks.

Was she saying that the Tyrant Kuma, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea—was her father?

The revelation sent shockwaves through both Marines and pirates alike.

After a long moment, Sentomaru, captain of the Marine Science Unit, regained his composure.

"Even if you really are father and daughter—it's too late! The experiment is complete! Bartholomew Kuma has been fully converted into a machine of war! He can't hear your voice anymore!"

He shook his head, stating the harsh truth.

But then—

In the very next instant—

With Bonney's desperate cry still hanging in the air—

A miracle happened.

The towering figure of the Tyrant Kuma shuddered. His massive hands twitched. And slowly—ever so slowly—his eyes began to regain light.

The impossible had happened.

The Shichibukai Tyrant Kuma… had returned to his senses.
