Tens of thousands of spectators and reporters in the square screamed in disbelief. The atmosphere trembled with panic and awe. After witnessing the cataclysmic clash between Rocks, the former Overlord of the Seas, and Kaido of the Beasts, none dared doubt the authenticity of what they'd seen.
The legend was real.
Rocks had truly returned.
From the high vantage point of the plaza, the Seven Supernovas of this generation stood frozen, faces pale with shock.
At first, before Rocks displayed his terrifying strength, they had all assumed it was another illusion orchestrated by Fairy Tail—just like the "World-Sung War" that many believed to be fabricated.
But now…
"To hell! To hell with this! Today's become a nightmare!" Diskman Scratchmen Apoo yelled, voice cracking.
"One Piece Roger, Rocks the Overlord of the Seas—legends erased by history have all come back to life," murmured Basil Hawkins, his expression grim and unreadable. "And all of them stand under his command… under Sugisawa Yuuto. What kind of man commands the dead? A god? Or a demon of the underworld?"
"The power to resurrect the dead," said Urouge, the monk of the Sky Islands, wiping cold sweat from his brow. "That's beyond mortal comprehension. This isn't human power anymore."
"That's not a man," Capone Bege, the mafia-like pirate, muttered hoarsely. "That's a ghost… a devil… maybe even a god!"
A sudden fit of wild laughter erupted nearby.
"Hahaha—Kid, what's wrong with you?!" Killer asked, concern breaking through his usual stoicism.
Eustass Kid's face was dark and heavy, eyes reflecting despair. "The Overlord of the Seas and the Pirate King—both under his command. Sugisawa Yuuto stands above them all. He alone could crush thousands. Our dream… our path to becoming kings… it's gone dark. There's no light left ahead."
"This is just the beginning," Trafalgar Law said quietly, eyes narrowing. "No one knows if a third undead will appear next."
Naval Headquarters — On the Battlefield
"That's the real one!"
"The true Rocks D. Xebec!"
"The Overlord of the Seas has really come back to life!"
"Fake or not, no one could fake power like that!"
"It's terrifying! That's the might of the man who once took the combined efforts of Vice Admiral Garp and the Pirate King Roger to defeat!"
Cries erupted from Marines and pirates alike as realization swept across the battlefield.
"I didn't believe it before… but Rocks really was resurrected!"
"Even Kaido's being pushed back!"
"If this keeps up, things will spiral completely out of control!"
Among Big Mom's ranks, Perospero, Oven, and Daifuku exchanged grim looks.
"Well, well, well…"
A booming laugh rolled across the chaos.
It was Big Mom, striding forward with monstrous confidence.
"Kaido! Seems like you can't handle him alone! Let's join forces and end this quickly. We've still got others to deal with after this, remember?"
Kaido didn't argue. He simply roared his agreement, and the two Four Emperors—once rivals—united once more.
Rocks, however, didn't flinch. His blood boiled hotter, his grin stretching wider as he stood against them both. Even facing two Emperors at once, the Overlord of the Seas fought like a storm incarnate.
Still, even Rocks couldn't withstand their combined might forever. From the very start, Kaido and Big Mom's joint assault had forced him back again and again, the earth cracking beneath their blows.
The sight left every soul on the battlefield frozen in awe.
"Hah-hah-hah…"
High above, aboard a World Government airship, Figaland Lin, leader of the Divine Knights, smiled coldly.
"An enemy of our enemy… is our friend," he said. "Let them kill each other. As much as I despise Kaido and Big Mom, right now they serve our purpose."
If Rocks fell first, Fairy Tail would be next.
The Council members and the Five Elders nodded grimly. In their eyes, this was an opportunity—a temporary alignment of chaos that could turn the tide.
"Yes," murmured one Elder. "Once Rocks falls, we'll turn all fire on Sugisawa Yuuto and his Fairy Tail."
"This war," Figaland Lin said, "has only just begun."
But before their optimism could take root—
Snap!
A single, crisp sound echoed through the sky.
The world froze for a heartbeat.
Then—
The third undead appeared on the battlefield.
