Chapter 285 - Chapter 285

Naval Headquarters — The Battlefield Above

The roars of beasts and monsters shook the heavens.

Every warrior—Marine or pirate—turned their gaze toward the colossal shadows emerging from the rising smoke.

What they saw froze the blood in their veins.

"W–What the hell are those things?!"

Nami's face went pale, her voice trembling as she clutched her weapon.

"They're not animals… They're monsters!"

Vivi's eyes widened, her breath catching in her throat.

"Phantom beasts…" Robin muttered gravely, her expression unreadable. "Creatures spoken of only in ancient myths."

She narrowed her gaze as the monstrous silhouettes took shape.

"I've read about them before," Robin continued quietly. "That massive serpent—its appearance matches perfectly with the Dust Serpent recorded in the old mythic bestiary. And that silver-furred wolf, over a hundred meters long… that must be Fenrir, the King Wolf of the Northern Lands."

She pointed toward the sky, where a winged behemoth circled with a lion's body and an eagle's head.

"And that one—its form is the same as the Shiden Griffon, ruler of the skies."

"An army of mythical beasts…" Sabo, the young Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, clenched his fists, his tone dark. "So this is the true might of the World Government."

Koala shook her head. "Not all of them are mythical Zoans. Look over there—those two are just awakened variants of common Zoan-type beasts: a King Tiger of the Wilds and a Savanna Lion King."

"True," muttered Lindbergh, Commander of the Allied Forces. "But those markings on their bodies—those glowing tattoos—aren't normal for animals, are they?"

Rayleigh, the Dark King, crossed his arms and said gravely, "That's because they're awakened. The power of their fruits has transcended ordinary limits."

Kalifa, once of CP9, nodded solemnly. "When I was still in Cipher Pol, I heard stories. The guards who protect the Celestial Nobles—the ones assigned to CP0—are the strongest of all. Only those who've achieved Awakening can stand at that peak."

Everyone fell silent.

Even battle-hardened pirates were awestruck.

"So many Mythical Zoans at once…" murmured Marco, the Phoenix and First Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. "And several of them awakened on top of that…"

"The power of the World Government really is monstrous," sighed Diamond Joz, Captain of the Third Division. "But still… Fairy Tail isn't made of ordinary men."

Foil Vista, Captain of the Fifth Division, nodded in agreement. "On this battlefield, even with the Marines and Government combined, they still might not match Fairy Tail's strength."

Captain Sage—revived from the depths of history—exhaled slowly, awe in his voice.

"Fairy Tail's leader… Sugisawa Yuuto. That man's no mortal—he's a god among men."

Whitebeard let out a thunderous laugh, the sound echoing like an earthquake.

"Gurararara! Thanks to that boy Yuuto, the Marines don't have the time to bother with us. Which means…"

He turned his massive frame, his gaze locking on a distant figure.

"…it's time to settle old debts."

Across the battlefield, Blackbeard Teach froze as a chill raced down his spine.

His instincts screamed danger. Slowly, his gaze met Whitebeard's burning eyes.

The color drained from Teach's face. "N–No way…"

The next instant—

BOOM!

Whitebeard bent his knees, and his towering frame launched into the air like a cannonball.

He crashed down in front of Blackbeard's crew, the earth cracking beneath him.

"TEACH!!!"

The roar of rage rolled across the battlefield like thunder.

"Chiii—chiii—chiii—"

Steam poured from Whitebeard's skin, the sheer pressure of his fury heating the air around him until it glowed red-hot.

"TEACH!!!"

A flash of blue light streaked through the air as Marco, the Phoenix, descended beside his captain, eyes blazing with hatred.

"Teach!!!"

From within a raging inferno, a blazing figure emerged—Portgas D. Ace, the Flame Emperor himself. His very presence distorted the air, the heat scorching the ground beneath his feet.

"Teach!!!"

"Teach!!!"

One after another, the captains of the Whitebeard Pirates gathered—

Joz, Sage, Vista—every last division leader stepping forward to face the man who had betrayed their family.

And so, beneath a blood-red sky and the roar of divine beasts, the sons of Whitebeard marched into battle once more—

not for glory,

not for vengeance,

but to honor the memory of the father they had lost.
