The elf lady dragged me onto a carriage. I say drag, but I don't really have any measures of resistance, and it's not that I would purposefully reject the offer of getting cradled by a hot elf lady on a bumpy ride back to her place.
From afar, I caught a glimpse of her house. It was rather big, but why does it seem…
It's hard to explain.
I'd say it's a rather nice house, but it still feels somewhat undeveloped; the technology just wasn't there.
Where are the electronic gates and tiled concrete floors seen in your normal mansion of this size?
I'm confused.
Let's skip forward a month or two.
I was able to confirm that this isn't a dream and is, in fact, another world that I've been reborn in.
I already thought it was weird when the lady brought me in a carriage. I mean, who doesn't have a car in my old world? If not, they would call an Uber, not a carriage…
Still, for further confirmation, I did a few more experiments. I would rather not go through that again. Flicking myself in the balls still hurts like hell even as a baby.
It seems that elves exist in this world, and the young elf lady who had picked me up in that alleyway adopted me, no real surprise there.
I have been living in her house since, would I call it a house though?
I mean I haven't been out of my room yet but it seems kind of odd to say the least, from the outside, during the carriage ride I thought it looked like an underdeveloped house, kind of like a shack to a certain extent not in the bad way though, it isn't the ones you would see abandoned in horror movies, but the one in more rural mountain area, my room doesn't even have electricity, whenever anyone comes in they hold a candle of sorts in their hand.
Has electricity not been invented in this world yet? I mean, it's totally possible, according to what I have read in LNs, a lot of other worlds don't have the same level of technology as the Earth I'm familiar with.
Can't fully trust them, though; they aren't perfect representations of another world after all, just works of fiction by overly creative people.
Still, I quite like it here, the room I'm in has carpets covering the wooden floorboards underneath, it seems like the whole house was built out of wood… A cozy countryside feeling reminds me quite a bit of the dojo from back then.
…
Till this point in time, I still wasn't able to decipher the language this world is using. It sounds a lot like… Uhhh… German maybe? I don't even know, language isn't my strong suit, okay?
I heard a small creaking sound at the door. A man entered my room and stared down at me. Although I wasn't able to get a good look at his face, I could tell he didn't seem pleased to see me.
Who is he, though?
After a glance, he exited my room, the door creaked again, then shut.
Huh? What was that about?
After a few minutes had passed, I heard some talking coming from outside. There were two voices, amongst the two, one was the young woman from before, and the other voice I was unfamiliar with. The voice was stern and serious. I could imagine the voice being a strict teacher quite easily.
"&*$##% ^%$&T%%^ %$#&$&( *^%##*(^# ##%@@."
"%^$@W& ^&*$&( *^^*^^%$&( @$^*@@% !#$^*$&^& #$@%%# @$!$%% *&^*^% $$*^%."
It sounds like they were arguing about something.
I have been through something like that quite a few times myself. Back then, I always got into arguments with my 'friends', of course, which also gave me the skill to weasel myself through almost unwinnable arguments.
Their argument outside went on for a while. In the end, I think the elf lady won, the stiff man sounded defeated and left.
A rather calm man, isn't he? I thought as I rolled around in my crib.
I'd be slamming the tables and breaking the windows if I lost an argument like that.
You just can't win arguments against girls, can ya?
