It's been roughly two years since I had been reincarnated. Did y'all miss me? Y'all haven't seen me for a while, haven't you?
My legs had finally developed to the point where I could move on two legs, although stumbling around was still a common occurrence.
Oh man, you won't believe how happy I was when I first started walking around. I was jumping with joy, not that I could jump; it was more like an attempted jump into an uncontrolled tumbling somersault.
After that, Mother used her healing magic on me once again.
Magic is really incredible, isn't it? I gotta get my hands on some as soon as possible.
My language has also gotten better. I can now understand most words in this language and can also speak a little bit, no more goo-goo ga-gaa, babbling singular words here and there, but as of right now, I still can't do it in complete sentences, though.
I have decided this time I'm not going to be stuck in a hole again, I'm going to try my best in life this time, but first I gotta know what is happening right now…
"Grahhh!" Mother made a funny face, with her nose flared and her mouth growling, snaring her teeth at me.
"Bwah," I gurgled, chuckling a little inside from her stupidity. I guess her method to amuse me really did work...
To be completely honest, Mom was pretty stupid; she would just do whatever that came into her mind, even if there was no logical reason to do it.
Mom always plays around like this; she's like a child, although if I didn't remember incorrectly this year, she's forty-three years old.
Elves in this world really don't age, do they?
Compared to the first time I met her, Mother probably aged like a month in human years, maybe even less.
I pondered deeper into that, would that mean in like twenty or so years I would look older than my own mother, although adoptive?
Just the thought of that sent shivers down my spine.

Let me reintroduce myself first. I don't think I have given a proper introduction yet.
My name is Gryne Notros-Farion, the third son of the Notros branch of the Farion house, which is a high class noble family, or so I was told, at first I was doubtful as the house I'm living in doesn't seem like one of a noble I imagined in my head, without technology to me it looked like a shack, but the more I look at it the more I see, it's actually a pretty high quality house, let me paint the picture for you a little better.
There are three blocks in the house. The main block has two floors, that's where we are right now, okay?
So the main block has the living and sleeping quarters. In just this block alone, there are about nine rooms aligned around two hallways, one located upstairs and one downstairs; each of the hallways has five and four rooms, respectively.
Each room is set with its own bathroom and toilet downstairs, while upstairs, two of the rooms are set with them, while the rest have to use the bathroom and toilet at the end of the hallway, anyways I'm going to be one of the unlucky ones…
Sidetracking a little here, let's discuss about the toilets…
They are, as you could have guessed, in fact not the white painted ceramic bowl I'm used to, but instead it's made out of wooden boards.
To be honest it isn't as bad as it sounds, it took some time to get used to but man is this ahead of its time, firstly the wooden seat is made out of some type of wood with a strong scent covering up the smell of shit, and secondly there's a funnel system under the wooden seat which leads the 'waste' to a waste collecting area.
How? You ask… I have no idea.
Okay, now, let's get back on track here…
Where was I up to? Ahh, yes, I was talking about the three blocks, right?
The other blocks around the house were mostly utility-based. There's the block on the left of the main block, which had the bathhouse and the armory, and the block on the right was mostly for storage.
I wasn't sure of any of this information, as I haven't really explored any of the other blocks other than the main block, so I wouldn't know much about what is placed within the storage boxes or chests, or whatever they use to store things in this world.
Lily was one of the three maids of the house. I think she's been here for a while now, at least two years now, since I saw her on the second day after I got reincarnated.
Also… She's the maid in charge of handling me since Mother had to deal with Claire.
So first thing I gotta figure out is how in Christ's name am I supposed to get past her all-seeing eyes.
Well, that's one thing to figure out…
I told myself I was going to live the right way this time, right? I mean, it's a chance at redemption, which I didn't deserve at all.
Now that I can walk around and speak the language a little bit, perhaps I should get started with my so-called plan, but what can I do? I can't really train my body now, what should I do now?
I tapped my fingers on the desk, my tiny legs dangling off the edge of my chair.
I thought of all the things I could try and do, exercise could wait when my body gets a little more developed.
If I remember health class correctly, I heard that training your body too early causes you to be short— and I don't want that.
So maybe I could do some geography. I figured that I would need that sooner or later, maybe I could learn another one of this world's languages. I know Mother's native language isn't this, whatever this one is called. Or maybe— I could learn— magic.
No, no, that would be too hard, wouldn't it?
Wouldn't it?
It's worth a try at least, if it does hint that I'm too young for it, I'll just have to figure out what else to do.
I peeked through the slit of my doorframe. At this time, it should be about eight in the evening.
Lily was quite a beautiful girl; she wasn't like Mother-kind of beautiful or anything close to her, but she had her own innate charm…
I mean, could you blame me for those thoughts? She is at least an E cup.
Horny thoughts aside, still, how do I get to the storage block to check out what to learn… Sigh—
