Chapter 4 - The Red Tide

In the darkness of night, flames paint the village in yellow light and the sky in Violet Orange, with the air filled with screams and panic from the villagers-Pure chaos.

Rex stood at the edge of the village, watching the pirates drag the women by their hair, overpowering them. The elderly were helpless, while the men were being slaughtered. "It's pirates like this that make me sick," he thought.

A girl knelt on the ground, crying, her hopelessness evident. Rex noticed her distress and was reminded of his own painful past—crying every day for food and being beaten just for existing. Anger bubbled within him.

"Lady, wipe your tears. I don't want to see you cry; it makes me sick," he said firmly.

The girl looked up at him, shocked. "How can you say that?!" she exclaimed, fury coursing through her. She attempted to strike Rex, but he quickly blocked her hand.

"Crying won't solve anything," he replied. "You have me now, and I'm here to claim this land as mine. These pirates are stealing what belongs to me, and they deserve no mercy." She looked at him and saw the intensity in his eyes. "I believe you," Marlice exclaimed, smiling at Rex. The child confirmed, "It's Marlice, right?" He then said, "I need you to go to sleep, okay?" Gently, he tapped her on the shoulder, causing her to lose consciousness. "What are you doing?!" the girl shouted, furious at Rex's actions. "Leave her here. She will be safe right on the edge of the village. I have to go to the village. Stay here."

Rex: By the way, my name is Rex. Remember this name, for it will echo throughout the world.

At that moment, Rex vanishes with the wind. Screams from people have never stopped, and the centre of the village is piled up with women and children, all of them tied up with joined chains. The men were all beaten up, some dead, and every one of them was in tears,

"We have no use for men; we can't have disloyalty on my ship," said a man with a long beard, dressed in a dark blue coat and a black captain's hat. "My name is Crow; I am the captain of squad four of the Reaver pirates. I'm here to collect taxes." He paced among the crowd, holding a pistol. "Ten percent of women for keeping you safe per year isn't a bad price to pay." He glanced at the people around him and laughed. "You really thought we would protect you for free? Sorry, but we are not heroes; we are pirates," he shouted the word "Pirates" for emphasis.

"I swear, one day, karma will come for you," retorted a woman with yellow hair tied back with chains. Crow approached her slowly and knelt beside her, gripping her hair tightly. "What did you say to me, bitch?" he growled before striking her hard enough to send her flying.

"Captain, please hold back; we can't have damaged goods," one of the pirate crew members cautioned.

"Do not worry about it; we can always replace such goods," Crow replied coldly, delivering a brutal kick to her stomach that made her cough up blood. "This is what happens when you speak without my permission," he said, kicking her once more. He placed his right leg on her, standing over her. "This is what happens to bitches like you." He loaded a bullet into his pistol and aimed it at her.

"Karma will catch up to you, I swear," she gasped, breathing heavily.

"Tell that Karma that I say hi in hell." He pulled the trigger, and the gun fired, the sound echoing into the sky as screams erupted from the crowd. Crow looked down at the woman, now covered by a pile of bones.

"You're Crow, right?" Rex emerged from the shadows and stood before him. Crow regarded Rex with a nasty smile. "And who are you to disturb me?" Rex walks towards him. "I am what you call Karma. Crow quickly pulls out the pistol and fires at Rex, and Rex moves away from the firing range by running sideways and dodging his rapid fire. And he changes direction, running toward Crow, and in an instant, he kicks the gun away from Crow's hand, and Crow uses the spinning kick move and kicks Rex with so much power that he sends him flying.

"Shut up, System; you're not helping. With the system in cooldown, I can't use my skills, but my strength and toughness remain the same, and I can still sense danger." He stood up after taking the kick. "I suppose a simple skill like that is still accessible to me even while the system is on cooldown." He walked toward Crow. "I'm surprised you didn't die from that kick, boy." He pulled out another pistol. "In that case, you're a threat. I don't take kindly to threats." The other crew members also drew their pistols. "You really thought this would be a fair fight? We're pirates, not knights; I don't believe in honour, kid." Rex advanced toward Crow with a dark expression on his face, a furious smile playing at his lips. "Coming here alone was a mistake," Crow said as he laughed loudly. "Who said I was here alone? "A red steam vapour around him, "Master, I have taken the woman to safety, she now rests at or Original point of start.

Two minutes ago, as the gun was fired at the woman, Denzel appeared and shielded her; some of his bones remained as he vanished to the edge of the village. Denzel appeared before the girls. "My master said I should bring her to you." He was covering himself with a dark cloth to prevent panic in the girls. He put the lady down and left in the shadows.

"master, what is your command?" he stood looking behind Rex and spoke, "Eliminate every one of these pirates and leave him to me." He points at Crow. At that moment, Crow fires the gun, and his crew member does the same. The sound of guns echoes around the village. Everything looked so intense. After they had run out of bullets, they stopped and found out that Denzel was shielding Rex. At that moment, Rex charged Crow and attempted to kick him. Crow dodged, then Rex started exchanging blows with him. First after first as he quickly adapts to Crow's fighting style thanks to his martial arts skill. At the moment, Denzel eliminates everyone he touches with amazing speed. He runs through every pirate. Killing them with no mercy. This left the villagers surprised, and it seemed to give them hope. At that moment, Crow was sent flying, and he ended up crashing near the women. Rex slowly walked toward him. "He grabbed one of the women and pointed the pistol at her head and fired again. Denzel stopped him. This infuriated Rex, and he punched Crow in the stomach so hard he coughed up blood. Rex, without a word he took Crow's pistol and shot him in the head.
