Chapter 51 - The Hidden Testament

EXT. HELL – SCORCHED PLAINS – TIMELESS

The air hums with heat. Ash drifts like snow as Arven, Grace, Kael, and Julian move across the wasteland. Their armor is dented, their faces weary but alert. Julian walks close to Arven, still shaken, clutching his small dagger tightly.

Grace: We should be close to the camp by now.

Kael: Yeah, if Hell didn't shift the ground again.

Julian: quietly You really think they're still okay?

Arven: nods, calm but focused They'll be fine. Kwame's with them. Nothing takes him down that easy.

They cross a ridge of black rock — and spot distant torches glowing through the haze. Voices echo faintly.

Kwame: from ahead, shouting Oi! Look who finally crawled outta the south!

The camp group appears — Kwame, Cassian, Kairo, Tanaka, Elias, Viktor, and Dimitri among others, waving as the two groups finally reunite.

Kwame: grinning wide Damn, Arven! You actually found Julian? That was quick!

Cassian: smiling softly We were starting to worry.

Arven: relieved Yeah, found him alive. Bit shaken, but fine.

Julian: sheepishly Y-yeah... I missed you guys.

Kairo: smiling faintly Good thing you made it. We didn't think anyone could survive out there that long. He eyes them curiously. But... you three look half-dead.

Kael: raising an eyebrow Thanks, nice to see you too.

Grace: noticing the others' clean armor and calm faces Wait—how do you all look so... fresh?

Kwame: grinning proudly Oh, right! You missed the best part. We found something amazing.

Kael: Don't tell me you found another demon nest.

Cassian: chuckling softly Not even close. We found a valley — full of water. Holy water.

Grace: confused What?

Kairo: The Garden of Eden.

Arven and Kael stop walking. The silence hangs heavy.

Kael: in disbelief WHAT?! Garden of Eden? In Hell?!

Viktor: nodding Real as it gets. Gabriel spoke to us himself. Said God sent Eden here after it was tainted by sin.

Dimitri: The water's warm, clean. We healed faster. It was... peaceful.

Tanaka: scratching his head Yeah, peaceful enough to scare me. Felt too good to be real.

Arven: thoughtful, quiet The Garden of Eden... in Hell.

Grace: frowning Paradise never lasts here.

Kwame: grinning True. But hey, for once, Hell smelled like flowers.

They all laugh lightly as they continue forward together, relief mixing with unease. The group climbs through ash and broken stone, unaware of what waits ahead.

EXT. HELL – TWISTED CANYON – LATER

The survivors walk through a winding canyon, the walls lined with faint glowing veins of light pulsing under the rock.

Elias: whispering This place feels... alive.

Cassian: hand on weapon Or haunted.

Dimitri: grunting Either way, keep your guard up. Hell doesn't let us sightsee for free.

As they reach a clearing, the ground hums beneath their boots. A deep rumble vibrates through the stone. Then—

Tanaka: pointing ahead Uh... tell me that's not a door.

Before them towers a massive stone door, carved into the canyon wall. Ten meters tall, engraved with symbols burning faint blue. The edges glow faintly like molten gold.

Kwame: whistles That's a big damn door.

Viktor: eyes narrowing Who built this...?

Grace: studying the symbols These markings—same style as the ones in the Garden.

Kael: Great. Holy door, demon land. What could possibly go wrong?

Tanaka: grinning nervously Famous last words, man.

The group gathers, debating in tense whispers.

Cassian: It could be treasure. Supplies. Something left from the old world.

Arven: Or something meant to stay sealed.

Kwame: cracks his neck Only one way to know.

Grace: Kwame, wait—!

But it's too late. Survivor A steps forward eagerly, pressing his palms against the glowing symbol in the center.

A surge of energy ripples outward.

The entire canyon shakes. The door splits open slowly with a deafening roar — revealing a flood of blinding golden light.

INT. HELL – THE HIDDEN TESTAMENT CHAMBER

The survivors step inside cautiously, their torches dimmed by the sheer brightness. The chamber stretches endlessly, the walls glimmering with embedded jewels and relics. Piles of gold and silver shimmer like fire.

Kwame: staring in disbelief Oh... my...

Cassian: That's... treasure. Real treasure.

Kael: uneasy In Hell? That's not a gift. That's bait.

Dimitri: grinning tiredly Bait or not, it's shiny as hell.

Tanaka: kneeling, picking up a gold coin It's real. Solid gold.

Grace: Don't touch too much. We don't know if it's cursed.

Elias: eyes wide Then why is there so much of it?

Arven: quietly, scanning the room Because someone wanted us to find it.

At the center of the treasure stands a massive stone slab, carved with fiery letters swirling like living light.

Kairo: entranced It's... a testament.

Cassian: tilting her head A what?

Kairo: A divine record. Like scripture. But not ours. These letters—they shift. Look.

They all move closer, drawn by the mesmerizing glow. The writing pulses slowly, symbols rearranging themselves as if breathing.

Grace: I can't read it.

Arven: Neither can I.

Kairo: softly, eyes locked It's like it's whispering to me...

Elias: Kairo? Hey, what's it saying?

Kairo: distant, focused I don't know... I can't stop looking.

Arven frowns, glancing around—but doesn't notice what's happening behind them.

BACK OF THE CHAMBER

Behind the main group, the sound of laughter breaks the silence. Some survivors—Survivor A, Survivor B, and a few others—are shoving handfuls of gold into their packs.

Survivor A: laughing Look at this! We're rich!

Survivor B: grinning wildly This gold belongs to us!

Survivor C: shouting Hey! Share that! It's everyone's!

Survivor A: snarling Like hell it is! This is mine!

Survivor D: drawing a blade You wanna die for it?!

The argument turns violent in seconds. Blades flash. Screams echo. Blood splatters across the gold as greed takes hold.

FRONT OF THE CHAMBER

Arven and the others are still fixated on the glowing testament, unaware of the chaos behind them.

Grace: whispering These words... they feel like they're alive.

Kael: uneasy Yeah, well, something else is alive too—listen.

He turns—his eyes widen in horror.

Kael: yelling Arven! Behind us!

They all spin around—shock freezing them in place. Survivors are killing each other in madness, screaming, slashing, clawing at gold like wild beasts.

Arven: furious WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! STOP THIS!

Cassian: horrified They've gone insane!

Kwame: charging forward Drop the gold before I break your skulls!

Dimitri: grabbing one attacker and throwing him aside We're supposed to be allies!

Tanaka: dodging a wild swing They're blinded—something's controlling them!

Elias: aiming his weapon but hesitating I can't tell who's who!

Grace: grabbing Arven's arm We need to get out before everyone kills each other!

Arven: gritting his teeth Not yet! We save whoever we can!

Julian covers his ears, trembling as the sounds of battle echo through the chamber — swords clashing, screams, and the clatter of coins spilling across the floor.

In the chaos, the glowing testament pulses brighter, illuminating the carnage below. The letters shift again — forming new lines, unreadable, but powerful. The words seem to breathe, feeding off the blood and greed around them.
