"Trash—every last one of you is trash!" Inside the disc-shaped spaceship, Frieza roared in fury.
All the Frieza Force grunts around him were on their knees, trembling, and behind Frieza lay five massive orange Dragon Balls.
Just now the Ginyu Force had reported total annihilation, which first startled Frieza, and then came word that Abo-Kado's side was locked in a bitter fight. Frieza's face turned exceedingly ugly.
Finally, even the elite Frieza Corps led by the cosmic demon Pui Pui, in whom he'd placed his hopes, reported that more than half were dead or wounded and they were still struggling.
Frieza snapped. He felt an urge to deal with the enemy himself, but he was reluctant to leave the five Dragon Balls he'd already obtained, afraid of falling for a lure-the-tiger-from-the-mountain ploy.
He was deeply conflicted. Only now did he realize that he, the emperor of the universe who ruled seventy percent of the cosmos, didn't have a single dependable, worry-free subordinate at his side.
All of them were a bunch of useless trash.
"What? That fat pig Abo-Kado after fusing actually got taken out by a mere Namekian?" At that moment, another message came through the scouter that nearly made Frieza go berserk.
"Hmph! Infuriating. Pui Pui must be fighting those damned ants. Forget it—these wastes are all show and no substance. I shouldn't have relied on them in the first place."
"In that case, if you want these balls, come take them. I'll do it myself. Ho-ho-ho, if I can't have something, no one will. If you hide these miraculous balls, I'll just destroy this planet."
"Damn ants—you've ruined my plans this time. When this is over, I'll settle the score with you. Don't think beating that loser Cooler means you can do as you please. I'll crush you filthy vermin to death."
Frieza had never felt this angry. Born with a power level of 120 million, his life had been smooth sailing. No matter the enemy, they crumbled before him.
Especially in a universe where the average power level was now barely five digits, there wasn't a soul who could be his match.
The Kais, the gods who oversaw the galaxy and the universe, were just a bunch of under-10,000 weaklings. They had some peculiar abilities, but they couldn't stop him.
The only deities in the universe who could threaten Frieza were the Supreme Kai and the God of Destruction. The God of Destruction slumbered and wouldn't bother with Frieza, and the Supreme Kai was tied up with Majin Buu and the Demon Realm King.
So Frieza's life had been a straight road. When had he ever suffered such a loss? When had he ever been so humiliated? Usually he simply steamrolled forward with his own power and the Frieza Force that clung to him.
The sting of this humiliation set Frieza ablaze.
"Frieza Force, full-scale assault! Bring those miraculous Namekian balls. I want to see who dares oppose Lord Frieza!" If not for his reluctance to give up on immortality, Frieza would've long since turned Namek to space dust with a single planet-busting blast.
"Yes, Lord Frieza!" the grunts chorused, quaking.
"In your next life, don't be a villain. And remember—don't mess with Namekians." The renewed Piccolo clamped a hand around the throat of the barely-breathing Abokado.
After fusing, Piccolo had utterly crushed Abokado with overwhelming superiority—one of the top three in the Frieza Force by power level.
Piccolo hadn't emerged unscathed, but compared to Abokado's wounds, his were far lighter—just a few scrapes, nothing that affected his strength.
"Don't think beating me means you've won. Lord Frieza will avenge me. You lot have no idea how terrifying Lord Frieza is. Compared to me, Lord Frieza is a hundred times stronger. Enjoy it while you can—you'll be torn to pieces soon enough. I'll be waiting for you in hell, haha." Using the last of his strength, Abokado spat his final words, not a plea but a curse steeped in hatred.
Light flashed in Piccolo's other palm, and Abokado's body turned to ash and vanished from his hand. "Frieza, huh? I'll settle accounts with you sooner or later. To do this to Namek is unforgivable."
"So you're Frieza's last elites? Pathetically weak." Musashi wove through the crowd, katana flashing. Every swing reaped at least two Frieza elite lives.
Like a lion rampaging through a flock, the sheep had no ability to resist. It was a one-sided slaughter.
"So you're the one who killed King Cooler? Heh. I've got a rough read on your strength. Even if you kill us to the last man, you can't defeat Lord Frieza. His power exceeds the limits of your imagination. If you've never seen Lord Frieza, you can never know how terrifying he truly is." Missing an arm and covered in wounds, Pui Pui stared at Musashi with the eyes of a dead man.
"Long live Lord Frieza!" As Musashi finished him, he mustered all his strength for one last shout.
"Who knew there was a diehard Frieza loyalist besides Ginyu. A pity for you—Cooler wasn't killed by me. And the one who did it still hasn't shown up." Musashi muttered to the corpse words it would never hear.
"Frieza, huh? Let me witness the true strength of the Dragon Ball world's most gifted boss. A talent to rival that monster Broly. Both never trained seriously, both prodigies of their race."
"Hm? Frieza's ki is moving? Looks like he finally can't sit still. You, the main body—get back here already."
"Cough, cough… Frieza's ki is heading this way… Friends from Earth, my time is short… Please save our planet. I beg you." The Grand Elder was indeed the Grand Elder—on his deathbed and still aware of the enemy's movements across the planet.
How strong must he have been in his youth?
Though Namek's dragon couldn't grant a wish to restore the Grand Elder's youth—why not ask Earth's dragon? After all, that dragon once restored the youth of God's evil half, the Demon King Piccolo. So the plan should work.
As for the rule that Shenron can't prevent natural death—that has a big bug, given the example of the old Demon King Piccolo regaining his youth.
"Frieza—I've waited a long time for this day." In the shadows, a short figure with skyward spikes of hair stood up.
"As expected, a powerful opponent. I can't help wanting to fight him." Another figure stood up.
Frieza flew fast. Though Namek was far larger than Earth, he reached the warriors not long after the teams sent to deal with the Frieza units arrived.
"Yo, you small fry. Ready to die?" Frieza squinted down at the fighters around him.
Behind him hovered the few Frieza Force members who remained.
"Frieza, you finally showed yourself! I thought you'd hide forever," Vegeta stepped out in the lead.
"Vegeta, you've got one thing wrong. I was going to let you die without pain. But since you dared disrupt my plans, I'll grind your body to dust."
"Who's in that room?" Frieza shifted his gaze to the Grand Elder's dwelling.
"The Namekian Grand Elder, the creator of the Dragon Balls. If he dies, the Dragon Balls you want will become useless," said Piccolo, who had arrived after finishing Abokado.
"Another Namekian. You're not like the others—you feel much stronger than those trash underlings of mine." Frieza couldn't use ki, but his intuition was terrifyingly sharp. "A remarkable one indeed." He vanished before their eyes, and by the time he finished speaking, he was already at the Grand Elder's side. A gaping hole yawned in the wall.
"Damn—so fast." Vegeta's expression darkened, his brow tight with unwillingness.
"In that case… let's go over there." Frieza casually pointed to the right. Clearly, he didn't want to jeopardize his wish for immortality.
"Picking your own grave?" Vegeta sneered.
"Vegeta, I hope you can still talk like that in a minute. I'd love to know what made you think you could oppose me." Frieza looked at Vegeta with disdain.
The Z Fighters and Frieza with his remaining forces flew for tens of minutes and finally reached a broad plain.
Z Fighters versus the Cosmic Emperor Frieza was about to begin. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Musashi and the Chimera Ants kept constant watch on the battlefield.
