Chapter 317 - Renjiro Remembers He’s a Captain Again

Previously, Renjiro could single-handedly massacre every member of the Soma Familia.

Now, faced with just a few dozen "ordinary people," taking down the entire group was almost too easy.

In just two or three minutes…

"I-I know I was wrong! I know I was wrong! Don't kill me!"

"Yeah, just spare me, and I can… pffah~"

The other Amazon warriors were remarkably obedient.

Only Phryne, ever the troublemaker, decided to play smart and irritate Renjiro.

The result? She was blown several meters away by his newly acquired power

Her fate… uncertain. No. Phryne was already severely injured.

At the same time, the dungeon itself seemed to reject the presence of this monster, rapidly exuding a murderous, hostile aura.

Within seconds, several giant purple moths hatched along one side of the chamber wall.

After that… well, the situation there needed no further explanation.

The remaining "captives" gazed at Renjiro with sheer terror—eyes wide, frozen in fear.

Watching all this unfold…

"Those golden particles just now… they seem to grant a level-up effect."

Renjiro squinted slightly, his gaze falling on the cloaked woman hiding behind Aisha.

By now, the matter of the Ishtar Familia had been settled.

Renjiro felt a spark of amusement.

"I hope everything that happened here today stays rotting in your hearts forever."

He spoke in an intentionally cold tone.

"This time, you attacked me first. I could have left all of you here without anyone saying a word."

"But," he added with a smirk, "I happen to be a kind person."

"This once, I'll spare most of you. But if I ever hear any word of today escaping out into the world, I'll hunt every single one of you down."

"Understood?"

At his words, everyone nodded vigorously, afraid of being too slow.

A few Amazon women even blushed inexplicably when looking at Renjiro.

'Wow, such a dominant man…' and 'I want to have his babies…' murmured faintly among them.

Renjiro didn't bother to understand Amazon's behavior.

He might… no, he definitely had a wandering eye, but he wasn't so foolish as to think with only his lower half.

The reason he spared most of them was simple—profitable.

Otherwise, even he might not have been able to negotiate well with an angry Freya.

Renjiro scanned the crowd.

"You… you… and you three stay."

He pointed at Tammuz, Aisha, and the cloaked woman.

"The rest, leave."

He waved a hand.

"This is a dungeon. Good luck getting back to the surface on your own."

Almost immediately, most of the Amazon warriors scrambled to their feet and ran.

Even with only the physical abilities of ordinary humans, if they cooperated and used their weapons wisely, escape was possible.

Of course, some would get injured along the way.

But for adventurers, these were minor inconveniences.

Moreover, the Amazon temperament was naturally aggressive—they didn't care about small wounds.

A small number of them cast lingering glances at Renjiro.

But fearing they might anger him and risk their lives, they ultimately chose to flee first.

"Wh-what will you do with Aisha and Haruhime?"

A younger Amazon girl mustered the courage to ask.

Her timid yet brave expression carried a strange trace of admiration, which made Renjiro frown slightly.

If he remembered correctly, this girl was Lena Tally, currently Lv.2, also known as Purus, her alias given by the gods.

Why did she leave such a deep impression on him?

Simple.

In the original future timeline of this world, Lena was paired with a certain "old master"—Bete, the prideful werewolf.

He was utterly powerless before her.

Just thinking about it made Renjiro smirk.

"Relax. I have no intention of taking their lives today."

His expression remained indifferent.

"But if you keep bothering me here, I might change my mind."

He subtly glanced toward a certain cave.

A toad woman had gone completely still inside.

The sheer bluntness of the threat made Lena and the others grit their teeth.

Under Aisha's warning look, they reluctantly left.

The fact they were willing to speak up for Aisha in such a moment already earned her gratitude.

Once all the idle people had left…

"Do you know why I didn't let the three of you go?"

Renjiro scanned the three remaining "captives."

They all shook their heads.

"Perhaps you don't know, but although I'm officially just friends with the Twin Stars, just like Kū, I consider Lumine my sister… a very important family member."

"And she sees me as a brother. So…"

"She will use the Freya Familia's power to destroy the Ishtar Familia for me."

Renjiro looked at Tammuz and Aisha.

"And I will make sure justice is done for her."

"You already know what happened in the dungeon. I don't need to remind you again."

Both understood immediately he referred to the time they had followed Lumine.

"Speak. What are your conditions?"

Aisha, always straightforward, asked bluntly.

Renjiro replied:

"You two must join the Freya Familia and serve Kū and Lumine. Any past debts will be repaid this way."

"And as for you…"

He turned to the cloaked woman.

"You and I have no history. Honestly, I'm just intrigued by your unique abilities."

"So…"

He smirked.

"My Familia is missing a maid who can handle chores. I don't feel like searching, so that's you."

"Don't worry, you won't have to work as a courtesan anymore."

"Just occasionally assist me with small experiments."

"How about it?"
