Chapter 12 - 12. Swimming

A few minutes later, Amelia came back out, and Ben was floored. She was rocking a low-cut black tank top and super short shorts.

Her chest was practically spilling out, showing off a deep cleavage, and her legs were smooth and glowing. Her thighs were especially tempting, making it hard not to stare. Even though her shorts covered the essentials, you could still see a hint of a bulge.

Ben couldn't help but blurt out, "Aunt Amelia, you look amazing!"

Women love compliments, and Amelia was no different. She smiled, " Really? You're not just saying that to butter me up, are you?"

Even though she said that, she was thrilled.

Ben had never had a girlfriend, but he knew how to sweet-talk. He stared at her chest and swallowed hard, "Aunt Amelia, if I were a few years older, I'd totally try to make you my girlfriend!"

Amelia's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a strange sensation wash over her, even getting a bit moist down there. It had been ages since a guy had complimented her, and the fact that Ben was twelve or thirteen years younger made it even more exciting.

But women usually play it cool. Even though Amelia was imagining some steamy scenes in her head, she kept a straight face, "Oh, stop it. Aunt Amelia's old. Why would a young guy like you be into someone like me?"

"Aunt Amelia, you're not old at all. If you hadn't told me, I'd think you were in your twenties! If you weren't my dad's classmate, I'd call you sister" Ben said with an innocent grin.

Benjamin wasn't lying. If Amelia didn't spill the beans about being in her forties, he'd totally think she was a hot older sister in her twenties.

"Hey, Aunt Amelia, you know this dude?"

Out of nowhere, Benjamin remembered Henry and whipped out a business card from his pocket, handing it over to Amelia.

Amelia took the card, squinting at it like she kinda recognized the name but couldn't place it. "I think I've heard this name before, but it's not clicking. Where'd you get this card?"

"Found it in my dad's office!" He had this gut feeling that Henry was somehow tied to his dad's death, and it was eating at him.

Amelia stared at the card again, mouthing the name a couple of times, but still drew a blank. She'd only reconnected with Daniel after a decade, so she wasn't up to speed on his personal life.

"No worries, just thought I'd ask. If you don't remember, it's cool. Someone' s bound to know him." Benjamin was being all considerate, trying to ease Amelia's frustration when she couldn't remember.

Some things can't be rushed. His dad was already gone, and he needed to find out who was behind it. Benjamin knew he couldn't solve it overnight; it was gonna be a step-by-step thing.

"Benjamin, don't rush it. You gotta dig deep into your dad's case, but take care of yourself too. Don't burn out before you get to the truth."

Amelia, being the wise one, knew that once someone was gone, they were gone. The living needed to stay safe.

They chatted for over half an hour, and Amelia dropped a bombshell. She mentioned Benjamin's dad had a close relationship with a woman.

Benjamin thought it was Ava, but Amelia said it was a woman in her mid- thirties. Benjamin made a mental note of the woman's name, planning to dig into it later.

Around five, Amelia decided to cook dinner, and Benjamin, bored out of his mind, joined her in the kitchen. The space was tight, leading to some accidental touches. Benjamin's hand brushed against Amelia's firm butt a few times.

He felt a reaction he knew he shouldn't, but couldn't help it. Amelia didn't seem to notice, or at least didn't show it. Benjamin felt a mix of guilt and excitement.

Actually, while Benjamin was washing veggies, Amelia sneaked a few glances at his crotch, a hint of desire in her eyes.

They whipped up dinner pretty quick. Amelia's cooking was on point, and Benjamin dug in. During the meal, Amelia brought out a bottle of fancy white wine, saying it was a special occasion.

Benjamin loved his booze and smokes, so he was all in. They said they'd have a few drinks, but before they knew it, most of the bottle was gone. Amelia was getting tipsy, her face flushed.

"Benjamin, Aunt Amelia can't keep up. If I drink more, I'll be out cold!" Her words were slurring, but the flush made her look even more attractive.

Benjamin grinned, "Alright, Aunt Amelia, let's call it. I'm good too."

Amelia nodded, fetched two bowls of rice from the kitchen. As Benjamin was eating, he dropped his fork. When he bent down to pick it up, he caught a glimpse of Amelia's legs under the table.

Whether she meant to or not, her legs parted slightly, giving him a peek at her shorts. Benjamin's mouth went dry at the sight.

Amelia could totally feel someone eyeing her down there without even glancing. Instead of flipping out, she casually spread her legs a bit to give Benjamin a better view. A weird thrill buzzed through her, a welcome change from the gloom she'd been stuck in since the divorce.

She had wanted to be with Daniel, but when they finally met up, it was clear things had changed. They couldn't go back to what they had. Deep down, she knew she didn't love Daniel anymore; she just regretted not being with him back then.

Now, Amelia found herself crushing on Daniel's son, Benjamin, making her feel like a teenager again.

Life's full of beautiful moments, and once they're gone, they're gone for good. Amelia finally found that rush she craved in Benjamin, and she wasn't about to let it slip away.

"Benjamin, what's up?" Amelia knew Benjamin was checking her out, but that wasn't enough. She wanted him to look at her with pure desire. Women love it when their guy looks at them with passion, right? That's what Amelia thought, so she decided to up the ante.

Benjamin was lost in his view under the table. Amelia's legs were perfect, no extra fat, and her private area under those shorts had a magnetic pull on his eyes. When Amelia called his name, Benjamin jumped, thinking he' d been caught, and quickly grabbed his fork, looking up.

"Uh, nothing, just dropped my fork." Benjamin's heart was pounding, not because he was nervous, but because getting caught peeking would be super embarrassing.

Amelia smiled, not calling him out, and walked over, saying, "Let me grab you a clean one!"

Benjamin handed over the fork, and Amelia took it, heading to the study. She came back with a clean fork, deliberately brushing his hand and even poking his palm with a finger.

"Benjamin, eat up. Don't drop it again. After dinner, Aunt Amelia's taking you swimming!"

Amelia's cheerful suggestion got Benjamin excited. There was a clean lake about twenty miles from her place where people swam in the evenings. Amelia had been there once, but the way men ogled her graceful figure like wolves had scared her off.

When Benjamin heard about swimming, his mind went straight to some steamy thoughts. He quickly finished his meal.

After eating, Amelia slipped into her swimsuit and bought Benjamin a pair of trunks from the supermarket downstairs before they headed out.

By the time they got to the lake, it was six o'clock, but luckily, summer nights were long. The sun hadn't set yet. "Benjamin, isn't this place awesome?" Amelia asked as she drove.

As the car cruised along the lake, Benjamin looked at the shimmering water outside, itching to dive in. It had been ages since he last swam. The place was beautiful, with mountains and clear, green water. Best part? Hardly anyone was around, just some kids from nearby villages. Way better than crowded indoor pools with their funky smells.

"Benjamin, Aunt Amelia needs to change into her swimsuit. No peeking, got it?" Amelia parked the car in a secluded spot, grabbed her swimsuit, and shot Benjamin a playful smile.
