Chapter 4 - Welcome To The Grind.

Izaru walked through the forest, shoes silent against the damp leaves. The blood from the wolves had long dried on his sleeves, but the scent still lingered in the air.

He needed civilization. Food. Information. A map. But mostly—he needed a direction.

After walking for a few moments, he encountered two monsters.

Silver Centipedes.

"Ugh. I hate bugs."

The first monster lunged. Izaru jumped into the air and slammed his fist down on its back. The creature snapped in two, twitching as it hit the ground.

"Bug off." (Pun intended) Izaru said as the other came forward, skittering low, aiming for his legs.

Izaru kicked it hard. The centipede went flying, still alive—but his shoe was now damaged.

"Dang it."

The monster charged again, but Izaru punched it square in the face. Its head exploded into pieces.

Drops:

Silver Centipede's Core (x2)Silver Centipede Boots (Rare)

"Woah," Izaru exclaimed as he looked at the glowing drops. "It's like I'm getting exactly what I want. Am I just lucky? Inventory."

The inventory window opened, and he selected the boots. They appeared in his hands. "Let's try them out, shall we."

He slipped them on. They fit perfectly. He jumped, kicked, and grinned. The boots were really good.

"Now that that's done, I gotta look for a village or a town or something."

But that wasn't going to happen. At least not now. As five more monsters emerged from the shadows.

Golden Bears.

There were five of them, massive and radiating killing intent. Izaru sighed as he stretched his shoulders, ready for battle. "Alright. Time to play with some teddy bears."

The bears roared in unison as Izaru dashed forward. His journey in the other world—

had just begun.
