Chapter 6 - Special Order

"I even don't know who is this girl. Why is the performance suddenly becoming good?"

Baston was confused because he didn't remember to set any target yet. Today, he wanted to check if there was any girl he could proceed with the quest. Eventually, the steak for dinner interrupted his serious

consideration. He enjoyed much the food and went out to walk with his full stomach. In the way, he then met with troublesome girl which was Alicia.

"Don't tell me the performance stated in this book is for Alicia?"

Based on his activity today, it was indeed the old book pointed to Alicia. She was the only girl he had contact today. As soon as he

found this conjecture, he felt it was quite a headache. He still didn't know what her further reaction, but if the book gave him the result like this, it meant that Alicia was interested on him. Of course, it wasn't in romantic way, but just curiosity about what he meant about the cult.

"Then, how could I increase this performance?"

His present performance was already good enough, but he wanted to make it better. He wanted to have a better reward, so this standard result didn't satisfy him. Alicia as a noble girl already provided the highest status in this academy, so basically, all he needed to do was to convince her more about him. That way, she would be more interested on him. Making her getting curious even more was the only way to get better reward here.

"Alright then… Let's see if my acting is good enough…"

Meanwhile at the dormitory of noble, Alicia also went back to her room in a hurry after her encounter with Baston. Inside her head was a mess, but she could pick one or two things that happened right now. Accidentally, the fat boy must be waiting for the informant at that quiet place. It shouldn't be her, yet coincidentally, she guessed the right reply. At

that time, he thought the boy just made a nonsense out of nowhere just to be close with her.

Regarding the cult, she doubted if the information was true or not. As someone from the duke family, she never heard about it before. You had to know that the first information would be delivered to royalty first

before noble family like her could know it. There might some criminal events happened, but it wasn't seriously affecting the lives of people. The society still worked as usual and the world just ran peacefully.

She wanted to rebuke Baston at that time, but when she saw such a magic, she started to hesitate. When she got back, she searched for Baston's information and found the boy was from the poor side. It was more miserable than a commoner which already made it clear that such a person wouldn't have much talent on magic. Despite of that, he proved to her that his magic was way

stronger than her.

Alicia thought of another possibility that Baston actually came from the noble side, but when she looked further for his information, the background was clearly stated that he wasn't like that. With the development of magic, no one could easily tamper with another identity unless there was a high wizard in play. Still, it would leave a trace and rather than working on small

charade, it was better to work at higher jobs. The high wizard she knew was full of dignity and had their own arrogances, so it would be more unlikely to help Baston to fake his identity.

There were many questions she wanted to ask, but since Baston didn't want to answer it, she could only take it slowly. She decided not to report it because she was also afraid the enemy that he talked about would escape as soon as they found a clue about the surroundings. After a long night, the day started again when the students needed to attend a certain boring lesson.

The noble students would surely take the seat at the back of classroom while the poor and the commoner side took the front one. At this time, Alicia fixed her sight at Baston who was in front of her. If their position was swapped, she couldn't possibly always look behind. Her friend who looked from behind thought that she was really diligent.

"Alicia, you seem to take this class seriously. You always look toward the board…" her friend whispered.

"Well, yes…" Alicia chuckled lightly, thinking her friend misunderstood her action.

"That's why you should pay more attention to the class."

"No way, it's too boring. I might fall asleep soon if I try to heard every speech from this teacher."

"Pay attention, class!"

The teacher heard the little commotion, coughing before sent a warning. At once, Alicia's friends went silent. They worried if they would be deemed as troublesome student by this teacher. Alicia only smiled and continued to look at Baston. He really had no special presence among many students here. People might forget about his existence if there was no his name on the book.

When the class finished, Baston as always went to the cafeteria. Since his secret admirer always bought him food, the waiter would always pop up out of nowhere and served him the meal. This time was chicken

with special sauce. As for the drink, it was an orange juice like before. The hot piping chicken on the plate was very appetizing. Before he could eat it, someone knocked the table off, making the food and the drink fell off.

"CRASH!!!"

The broken plate and the glass made everyone looked at the direction. Panto who enjoyed his food also frowned, thinking that his treat was wasted. Alicia also took a notice of him when she was on the way to the private dining area for nobles. A few boys accidentally knocked Baston's table, making

all the food wasted.

"Hey, look at where are you going! Now this is messed up!" one boy talked to his friend.

"It's not my problem. It's because this area is too packed, unlike the noble area."

"Now, what will you do?" another boy asked.

"Of course, we just need to go on our business. Since it's not my fault, why I need to be here?"

From their clothes, they clearly were a noble student. The poor, commoner, and the merchant couldn't go to the private area of noble, yet they were an exception since they had nobility on their statuses. It wasn't fair,

but even though the commoner wanted to go to noble's area, the expensive price already blocked most of them. Despite it was Baston who experienced it, any students there felt angry. The boys just left without any remorse. The one who knocked on the table even didn't want to admit it was his fault.

Baston looked at the boys coldly from the side, but he also knew it was pointless to fight here. Even if he won, there would be many persecutions later. The waiter also didn't dare to berate them because the different of the status. Baston could only helplessly pick the food, albeit it couldn't be eaten again. Seeing this, the waiter also hurriedly helped him.

"I'm really sorry for this inconvenience…"

"It's alright…" Baston knew what the waiter meant, "It must be troublesome to clean all of this. Let me help you…"

"It's fine. Just leave it here. I will bring broom to clean all of this," the waiter soon took his time to go somewhere.

Baston just felt since the waiter here already served some good food to him, he felt he didn't want to make extra task. Although he still didn't know who the one who treated all the meal until today, it was such a pity to throw away this food. Slowly, everyone began to get busy again. Panto and Alicia waited for a while before they walked toward Baston at the same time. They were just too focused on Baston without noticing each other. Baston felt there were two people standing behind him without any further action. He thought it was just some passerby, so he simply said something to them.

"Don't just stand here… Just move along… People are watching…"

Panto was the first to one who replied, "You mean the cult?"

"They are already here inside the academy?" Alicia was startled.

Both Panto and Alicia were flabbergasted, but soon they turned around and did whatever Baston ordered them to do. Each of them suddenly thought Baston had a deep connection regarding this. Panto and Alicia never thought there was somebody else who knew the existence of the cult. They only thought it was the exclusive news for them. On the other hand, Baston didn't

notice it was Panto and Alicia. He even didn't hear what were they talking about since he still lamented his poor chicken.

When the waiter came back, he brought Baston a free sandwich distributed by the academy. Looking at the unfulfilled bread with a little meat and vegetable, he could only accept it. Anyway, it was still good rather than going hungry. When Baston finally left, the waiter only shook his head. Such a

good meal was ruined by some nobles. Not only they didn't take the responsibility, they acted like it was never their fault to begin with.

"Hey, we have special order here. Two at the same time. Make sure you deliver it carefully!" his boss suddenly called from the counter.

"Yes, sir!" the waiter soon came back to work.

The special order was kind of delivery service. People just order the food and one of many waiters would soon take the food to the pointed dormitory, right at someone's room. Actually, it didn't happen often because such a service needed much cost. It was because everyone was busy and there was no time to be a personal butler for a certain student. Rather than taking this

service, it was better to order one student to help them take it into their rooms.

The waiter took a look at the name and the location of the dormitory. After making sure he got everything in his head, he hurriedly took it outside. Afraid the waiter might spill the food, there was eventually a special container used on this delivery. It was made so that even if the waiter dropped it, the food inside would still be fine. The container had some magic inside, making it was possible to maintain a fixed plate. It took only 5 minutes before he reached the place.

"Hmmm… It should be here…"

At first, the waiter thought it was a wrong address because the place was located at the dormitory of commoner. Not only that, the place was reserved only for a poor class. The boss had already verified it twice, so it

had to be true. He knocked the door and was surprised to see Baston who came out from the room.

"It's you!"

The waiter didn't know Baston's name, but he never thought he could meet with him again, "This is special order for you. There are two of them, so please be careful of it."

"Baston was dumbfounded, but he could only nod his head, "Alright, thank you for your hard work."

"It's alright. I'm happy to be your service. Then, enjoy your meal!"

The waiter was gone, leaving the hot food at his room. The dish was the same like before, yet there was already two of them. He wondered if this was done by the same person or not. Just a special order was already expensive, so this kind person really took care of him. Without wasting any time, he then let this sumptuous meal got devoured by his stomach slowly. Such a fortunate event couldn't be wasted.

"I'm really such a lucky boy…"

Baston didn't know this time, he was indeed very lucky because not only Panto bought the other one, even Alicia who just knew him also bought one for him. That was why there were two of them and it was quite a coincidence. Baston didn't care about who was the sender because since they didn't reveal their name, it was useless to look for it. Just let the fate arranged them to finally meet by then.
