Chapter 4 - the resonance of the Reaper’s Mark.

Shi yoon retired to his apartment, from it he look the view up from up , then a hour passed, Shi-Yoon now stood in the center of his apartment's sterile white floor, the Aether-Watch projecting a shimmering, sapphire hologram above his wrist. He'd barely slept after the incident at the school. He hadn't been studying the defeated entity—he'd been studying Seo-Jun.

The watch data was undeniable: Seo-Jun's Soul Signature was amplifying the ambient dimensional noise. The Reaper's Mark he'd accidentally placed eleven years ago wasn't just a sign of protection; it was a beacon.

Target: Soul-Drain. The watch hadn't tracked the threat; it had tracked the danger to Seo-Jun specifically.

He ran the diagnostic for the tenth time, isolating Seo-Jun's signature. A cold knot formed in Shi-Yoon's gut as the system registered "Core Anomaly Detected." He focused his own divine power, his Soul-Sight, on the trace. He could still see the boy's worried orange aura, but the granular detail—the lines of destiny, the precise life timer counting down to the hour of his natural death—was gone. Nothing.

Just a smooth, impenetrable blankness where the most fundamental information about a soul should be.

"Impossible," Shi-Yoon muttered, a rare breach in his carefully maintained indifference. His Grim Reaper ability was an absolute truth of the universe; to lose a life timer meant one of two things: either Seo-Jun was already dead, or his fate was entirely outside of the system. And if his fate was outside the system, he was a living blind spot, a weakness that could cripple Shi-Yoon in battle.

The quiet hum of the Aether-Watch suddenly morphed into a high-pitched, screaming alert—a sound Shi-Yoon hadn't heard since the initial Dimensional Incursion. The sapphire hologram shattered, replaced by an aggressive, blood-red map showing a single location in the city's derelict industrial sector.

A chillingly familiar voice, distorted by static and authority, crackled from the watch's speaker. "Reaper-Designate Shi-Yoon. Immediate deployment. Grade A.S. Incursion."

A Grade A.S. (Apex Sovereign) was the highest designation: a rare, self-sustaining dimensional creature capable of solo destruction.

"Current assignment is irrelevant," the voice continued, cutting through any protest. "The Incursion point is a temporary instability nexus. Fail to contain the target, and we lose the entire eastern seaboard."

Shi-Yoon didn't hesitate. He knew the protocol. He slammed his fist onto a button beneath the speaker, transforming his apartment's window into a one-way, solid black portal. He extended his hand and the his necklace turn into his reaper's cane, the Reaper's Blade already shedding its illusion, elongating into the horrifying, crescent-shaped scythe of solidified cosmos.

"Confirmed, Dispatch," Shi-Yoon said, his voice flat and cold. "But send the data packet on Designate: T-F-412 to my secure line. I need answers." (T-F-412 being Seo-Jun's internal codename.)

He stepped through the swirling, unstable dimension rift, the air on the other side thick with ozone and the stench of burnt metal. The industrial sector was warped—structures buckled at impossible angles, and the sky was a sickly yellow-green.

The A.S. creature was immense: a hulking fusion of bone and crystal, tearing apart a power substation. It was focused on absorbing the raw energy, yet it sensed Shi-Yoon instantly.

As the beast turned, its multiple obsidian eyes fixed on him, Shi-Yoon raised his scythe. He activated his Soul-Sight, bracing to pinpoint the beast's core and exploit its timeline.

But his sight was BLIND.

Just like with Seo-Jun, the A.S. creature's massive, chaotic presence was completely devoid of life timer data. It was a total unknown, a black hole of information.

The beast roared, a deafening sound that shook the warped ground. It charged, driven by an instinct that recognized the Reaper's Blade.

Why? Shi-Yoon thought, dodging a crushing blow, his mind racing. The little boy, the monster... why is their fate hidden?

He was fighting blind—without his most fundamental advantage—on a high-stakes mission where failure meant catastrophe. He had to assume the monster was connected to the same anomaly that protected Seo-Jun. To kill one might be to understand the other.

Shi-Yoon spun, the Reaper's Blade singing as it cut a massive, cosmic arc through the air, aimed for the beast's crystalline flank. This wasn't about data or protocol anymore. This was a visceral, desperate fight for survival against a threat that knew a secret he did not.

The Marked Boy and the Unknowable Monster had just reset the rules of his existence, and this bizarre information. Shi yoon got distracted the monster hit him with a materialized ball of ice stick , even if shi yoon escaped it , it still leave a single cut trace on his face . " REALLY! CANT I THINK FOR A LITTLE BIT?!" He get up and jump in the air , as a soon as he creat a portal , other experts come in the door of the dimensional portal, some arrogant guy going immediately towards the monster. ( good luck)

" hey look that guy flying there does he think he can win this, hahaha!" Some start laughing, but soon died down as three experts head jump off, and three explosive fire balls follow.

" the hell are those idiotic people doing!" Shi yoon active his grin reaper's eyes.

He couldn't see anything wrong , he targeted the monster with a double reaper's blade, it flight and start cutting the monster off but by bit with leaving it time for recovery, shi yoon make appear his third explosive daggers and just in the air he sent the three of it , in the monster chest, the monster adsorpt it with ease.

Shi yoon creat a other portal that carry him back on the ground then he cover him with his reaper coat and shield, he start walking away when suddenly the monster exploded.

•BOOM!•

The monster sticky blood pour on every other expert who were again alive, shi yoon walk out of the portal, his mind already else were.

" sigh…,could not get any better huh!" He had throw in the air a white diamond, who know that he had already snatched the monster precious SS RANK DIAMOND HEART.
