"Wake Up. The time is 8:45AM-" the electric voice was cut out by Vince slamming his fist on his implant and groaning. His eyes slowly opened to the light coming in through his window, leaving a golden hue that was to Vince what Batteries are to his microwave. The bed creaked under his weight as he stood up, walking to the kitchen counter to pull out a Tridon Breakfast Nutrition Pack. He ripped it open and plopped the slab of grey stuff into the microwave, turning it on as he walked to the bathroom. As soon as he exited, now with the tired look slightly wept off his face, the ding of the microwave filled the room as Vince's 'breakfast' hopped out.
The apartment was silent save for the soft sound of chewing and the hum off the C.M.M and Hover cars going past, shaking the buildings foundation to the core. Just as he was on his final bite, a sudden ring filled the room, Vince looked down to his implant, on it in bold letters 'NEW JOB OFFER'. He raised an eyebrow, jobs back to back? That's rare, he clicked on the screen once, connecting him to the call. "Hello?" Vince asked, his voice muffled by his food filled mouth.
"I heard you kill for pay, I've already figured out when and where the target is gonna be at, you accept or no?" An almost lifeless voice responded, almost robotic, the pauses for breath the only indicator of it being a human on call.
Vince gulped down the remainder of his food and spoke "I need to know how much first."
"10,000 Celdis."
For a moment he was totally stunned, 10000? For him? "10,000? Really… well I guess I accept then, send me the info and I'll have it done."
Just as he was about to end the call the voice blurted out "one more thing, you won't be alone. Two others will be joining you." With that the call ended, two others… unusual.
The journey to Liu's Noodle Shop was quick, the words constantly repeating in his mind. No no, 10,000, it's unrealistic… unless, this better not be a suicide mission. The thoughts clouded his mind so much so that when he reached the shop, Vince didn't even see the 'Closed' sign before him, bumping into the door with a grunt. "Dammit, what now… closed? Guess he's sick today." Vince then brought his forearm to the door handle, his implant getting scanned before the door clicked open and Vince stepped inside. He got his usual, the pulse pistol, but there was something more distracting, a note in the armoury. Vince picked up and read 'CL0 3RA', a postcode, probably Liu's apartment, Vince didn't know where the old man lived.
He stepped out the shop as he walked across the street, shoulders bumping into people as he read '10:12am, 12th Dickton's Street.' Industrial sector.
The metro remained a fight for a breath of fresh air as a lack of hygiene and proper ventilation led to musky conditions, Vince however remained quiet, his eyes had landed on a girl across the compartment. Blonde hair tied into braided pigtails, and a hell of a lot of sass, halfway through the ride he heard her shout "Oh for fucks sake! Dammit! The numbers were wrong!" Guess she's a gambler too. Eventually the metro hissed to a stop at the Industrial Sector, and too his annoyance, both Vince and the girl came off.
This was getting suspicious, each turn he made the girl did the same. He had to do something… "12 Dickton's Street, 10:12-" his words were cut off as the girl blurted out "what the fuck are you doing?! Giving away mission details like that!" So she was one of the assassins.
"needed to know if you were one of the assassin, and asking would be pretty suspicious." He crossed his arms as he turned to face the girl.
she scowled and replied back "well randomly saying a street name and time is still pretty fucking weird, dumbass."
Vince shrugged and carried on with his walk "hey I'm here to get paid, not make friends, let's just kill this guy and get out."
the girl muttered under her breath but resumed walking too, her annoyance still etched on her face. The contrast between the two was stark, with Vince's all black look, the only colour being the blue of his implant whilst the girl looked like a walking billboard, a yellow Fashobo shirt, red puff jacket and blue jeans. The rest of the walk was silent until a dark skinned boy with a green jacket walked past. Simultaneously both the boy and the girls face lit up as the girl blurted out "Ty! You're here! I thought you said 10,000 was suspicious or some crap."
Meanwhile the boy smirked and replied "Wassup Sam. Yeah 10,000 is still pretty strange, but I couldn't you go alone now could I?" Great, the two liabilities knew each other, and they got the 10,000 offer too. Sam still giddy said "oh and this is… actually it doesn't matter, he's our third guy, come on, let's go get 10,000 Celdis richer!"
She began walking at a quicker pace whilst Ty faced Vince, "nice meeting you, I'd actually like to know your name."
Vince replied back "Vince, nice meeting you." And resumed his walk, the trio had been formed, and were now headed to get that pay check.

"Ok everyone in position?" Ty asked, his glasses glowing with a hundred holographic diagrams "Sam, you're distraction. Vince, you take him out. For 10,000, this guy definitely has security." Sam had her shotgun already locked, a fierce grin on her face. Vince however was still suspicious, they saw him, he didn't have any security nearby, he's just standing there, on his phone. Nonetheless he still nodded as he began moving, walking across the rooftop and landing in the alley with a thud. His footsteps carried him to the mouth of the alley, out of the corner of his eye spotting the target. It was a man well in his 40s, though he could pass for 30 without any second glances and he was wearing a blue business suit. Definitely strange.
He then spotted Sam walking across the street, heading towards Silver with wide innocent eyes, the distraction had begun. But also… is that, a soldier? "Wait… WAIT! SAM-" Vince's words were cut off by a sharp pain at the back of his head whilst he collapsed onto the floor, as his vision blurred he heard gunshots, then silence.
