Xers, Gein, and their team had finished their battle with Nyxveil. Morning had come. Even though the team was exhausted, they set out again.
A conversation takes place between Gein and Xers.
''Xers, I guess after this last group of bandits, we'll be separating. We're heading to Okikaku, and you're going to Lisu.''
''Nyxveil was one of them too, right?''
''Yes, he was. Normally, the Kieyuku mission would take us three days, but it seems we're going to finish it in two. But this last bandit leader won't be that difficult. We're comfortable now — Nyxveil was the strongest among them.''
''Tell me, Gein… how do these people gain these powers? Why is there so much variety?''
''I'm no master of the literature, but I'll explain what I know, Xers.
Heavens Pride: Only those who are morally pure or those who didn't deserve to die as heroes are granted a second chance. Just like how you obtained Gomerai. But the second life carries a heavier fate — keep that in mind. One day I may not be by your side, but your life will always be filled with battles.
Hell Curse: To obtain this power, you must be purely evil. There's a balance of good and evil in the universe. Even if you don't want it, fate might push you toward being evil. You cannot oppose the balance of reality. But once you accept the curse, endless servitude awaits you. Every curse is different; it depends on the determination of one's soul.
Galactic Myth: When the universe was born, nearly infinite energy spread everywhere. Some of this energy imprinted itself onto certain souls. These people possess what's called an Astral Scar. You aren't born with this ability, but external triggers may accelerate the process — however, before you die, you will definitely gain this power. These abilities are usually energy-related. Morgath is an example of this. Galactic Myth can also be passed down through generations, which is why Morgath's bloodline always has the same trait.
Dungeons: You must've heard about this during basic training. In dungeons, you can kill monsters and obtain a mask with a certain drop chance, but they're generally not as powerful as the others.
Fuse: This is a truly diverse power source. If you have a mask and fuse it with another element, you obtain a "Fused Mask."

''Mine is Galactic Myth. From the moment I was born, they noticed I had a strange sensitivity to colors. Later, my mother realized I could manipulate colors in the garden. They rushed me to a magic specialist, and he said that my mask came from the Galactic Myth source. After that, my mother and father put me into sword training. Within a few years, I developed my G-Technic stage up to Stage 2.''
''Why didn't you develop it to Stage 3?''
''I didn't have much time, Xers. When oppression began on these lands, I was still in Nyxia for training. To reach Stage 3, I needed elemental resources, but I didn't have the money to obtain them. Instead, I destroyed the kingdoms in Nyxia. That helped me improve my Colors technique significantly.''

Xers and Gein continue their path. Noon arrives. They reach a hill. In front of them, they see a village being plundered by bandits. The entire team runs toward it.
Xers suddenly shouts at the bandits:
''You dogs! Was tormenting the villagers not enough?! Try us too!''
''What wind blew a brown-haired brat like you over here?''
''A brat? That was five years ago. I'll make you feel pain you've never tasted.''
''Hahaha! Look how he talks(!) And he thinks he can—''
''GOMERAI!''
Before the man can finish his sentence, Gomerai bursts from beneath the ground and slices him in half.
''ATTACK!''
Xers and Gein's team charges from behind. Chaos erupts. Both sides suffer losses.
''You two— goodbye! RED!''
Gein's Red ability explodes through the battlefield.
''Dragon's Claw!''
Gomerai cuts down ten men in a single strike.
''Gomerai, tear everything apart!''
Gomerai rampages through the battlefield, launching enemies into the air and slamming them into the ground. The bandits stood no chance against Xers.
After half an hour of battle, Xers, Gein, and their team emerge victorious. They lose about five more members, but the village is fully saved.
Gein addresses the team:
''Looks like we're out of enemies. Everyone can calm down!''
''We lost five people, Gein! We must bury them with the others!''
''Yes, we'll do that. But the village is safe now!''
The bodies of the fallen teammates are collected, while the enemy corpses are thrown aside. Evening comes, and Xers and Gein are about to part ways. They say their farewells.
''We're planning to leave tonight and arrive in Okikaku. We'll spend about three days there. I'm splitting the team again. You'll take command of the other group. You can spend the night in this village. Tomorrow, you'll head toward Lisu. See you soon, Xers. I hope we can meet again in three days.''
''I'll watch over the group like my own eyes, Gein. You take care too. See you.''
Gein's team leaves the village. Before departing, Gein waves one last time to Xers.
Xers asks the villagers if they can stay for the night.
''Is there any chance you could arrange a place for me and my group to stay? We're really exhausted.''
''You saved our village — of course you can stay! Spend the night wherever you wish, child. We'll also prepare food for you. You are truly the hope of our people.''
''Thank you, grandma. We'll do everything we can to protect you.''
