Chapter 2 – The Prince Who Fell from Another World

Before Azrael became the isekai of another world , he had once been nothing more than an ordinary high school student.

A mundane boy from another world — until the day fate tore that life away.

He had been walking home under the soft glow of city lights when everything turned white.

The screech of tires, the crash of metal — and then, silence.

When he opened his eyes again, the sound of waves and gulls filled his ears. The salty breeze brushed his face.

He had awakened in a completely different world — the world of One Piece.

But Azrael hadn't realized it at first.

In this new life, he was reborn as the Crown Prince of Arkonis, heir to the throne of a small yet proud kingdom.

At the beginning, he struggled to even speak. The language of this world was unfamiliar, and he was no native of Japan or anywhere close. Yet, through sheer will, the boy studied endlessly — memorizing words, phrases, tones — until by the age of two, he could speak fluently.

At three, he began to read and write, devouring every book the palace offered him.

And that was when the truth began to dawn on him.

The architecture, the weapons, the names — this world looked like medieval Europe, yet firearms, ships, and technologies that defied that era existed.

It was only after piecing it all together that he realized:

He had been reborn in the world of One Piece.

At first, he panicked.

This was a world where monsters walked, pirates ruled the seas, and justice was decided by power alone.

But over time, he calmed himself.

After all, he was a Prince — the next King of Arkonis.

As long as he stayed in the palace, he thought, nothing could harm him.

He was wrong.

On his fifth birthday, fate struck again.

The celebration had barely begun when the palace fell into chaos. The skies turned red as the royal guards shouted warnings.

Pirates had come.

By the time the smoke cleared, the King and Queen — Azrael's parents — were dead.

And the man who stood beside them last, the royal general who had sworn loyalty to his father… betrayed them.

He led a coup, seizing the throne in blood and fire.

Azrael had no choice but to flee.

With a handful of loyal retainers, he escaped the burning palace, chased by the very soldiers who once bowed before him.

Many of his protectors died buying him time.

By dawn, the young prince was alone — lost, starving, and stripped of everything.

He crossed the border into a neighboring kingdom, hiding his name, his identity, and his grief.

Life there was brutal.

He was robbed of his few remaining possessions.

Some nights he scavenged from trash bins, eating spoiled bread or scraps just to survive.

At times, he begged in the streets — a handful of kind souls tossing him a single 100-berri coin. But more often than not, that coin would be stolen moments later by stronger vagrants.

Hunger. Cold. Despair.

These became his only companions.

There were nights when he thought of ending it all — when he wished the crash that had taken his first life had taken him completely.

But then, one fateful day, everything changed.

He heard screams — a group of men cornering a young girl in an alleyway.

Despite his weakness, Azrael moved. He didn't know why — perhaps it was instinct, or a fragment of who he used to be.

He fought, clawing and bleeding, until the men fled and the girl escaped unharmed.

As he collapsed, gasping for breath, a radiant light appeared before his eyes — golden, warm, and alive.
