Chapter 8 - CHAPTER - 6

ISEUL

I woke up, unsurprised. I looked around. Of course! I have read many isekai novels. I know what happens. I have finally Isekai'd. What is my name? What is my name?! Am I some character from MMMW? So what happens is the girl wakes up and finds herself in another world. I raise my hands. Then she tries to understand what. The. Hell. Is. Happening!!! Why am I a baby?! Oh no! Not as a baby! These tiny fingers! Jesus Christ. I immediately move back and bump my head on the cushioned headboard. Owww! What?! Do I have to go through hell again? Another whole fucking… My eyes caught something.

Four-poster bed? Silk curtains? Upholstered window sittings? I am definitely a noble lady. I looked at my side. Ahh! A big mirror!

I carefully crawled down. My feet are feeling wobbly. I can fall at any moment if I am not careful. Wait! Wait! Aghhhhh!!!

I landed on my hands just in front of the mirror.

A toddler with dark purple hair, bright golden eyes, and rosy lips looked at me from the mirror. That is me?

My nanny burst open the door.

"My lady!"

She picked me up carefully. Took me to the bed and brushed off any dust on me. There wasn't any. I saw how the floors shone.

"Are you fine, darling? Letti! Margot! Where were you all?"

I saw two teenage girls wearing maid dresses.

"Did I not instruct you to keep an eye on the young lady? Did you two run off again to eat bim-berries? The Duke has spoiled all of you! He sent bimberries again, right?!"

The nanny was applying some ointment to my palms. I was looking at her. She has beautiful platinum blonde hair. She is so pretty!

Okay fine. I have calmed down, pretty calm. According to my deductions, I am some toddler. My name is…something. I don't know. The maids call me 'my lady' and my new mother, and my new brother calls me 'Rue'. I suppose that is my nickname. (They came in when they heard I fell.) This is going to be quite a wild ride, Rue. Let's take this VIP treatment.

One whole month later…

It has been a month, and no signs of the father. I am struggling with the language, but I know it. I cannot speak properly, cannot move properly. My head feels so heavy! However, these people are kind. Plus, my new brother is super caring. I wish I had a brother like that. My new mother is gorgeous. My brother and I have the same hair colour as my Mother. Kind of reminds me of my parents. I miss them already… But where is my new father? I heard the maids gossip that he has gone for some work in the capital. Let's hope he's not one of those 'abusive' parents…

What the… What in the heavens is this?! Do I see a god or something? Such blinding lights? Those sharp eyes. That silky hair though. That heart-melting smile. Is that my father?

"Good morning, little lady", he said cheerfully. I instinctively smiled back.

"Oh my! My little lady has grown up", he ran towards me. "Tell me. Who am I?

In a confused tone, I replied, "Pwapwa?"

"Darling, look at her! Oh my! So adorable."

The maids and attendants were awestruck and started giggling.

My brother also joined the merry-making. Now it looks like a complete family. Laughter filled the room, and my father took me into his arms and swung. So this is what it feels like to become a child again? This is the love my parents gave me too?

So, my father, Duke Delacroix, is one of the epic battle mages, though he does not look like that. He went to the capital to brainstorm a new strategy to stop the attacks of the rebellions of the… East. I heard this when my father spilled the peas after singing me a lullaby. I totally pretended to be knocked out.

Four months later…

Another four months and voilà (I learnt this from them) it's my birthday! Who knew my birthday would come so fast? And information collection? TOUGH thanks to the 'Izhart'. Jesus Christ!

Let's return to the birthday party. Decorations? Lighting? Food? Can you imagine? Would I ever get all this if I did not isekai?

I have seldom gone out of my room in the past few months. Today, my mother took me to the living room. Jesus Christ! It looks like a ballroom—totally my type!

The whole room was filled with yelling, laughing, clinking of plates, and fluttering of fabrics.

"Emma, bring me the candles. We need to light the chandelier", my governess ordered. The person I had been thinking of as a nanny was actually my governess. She is a close friend of my father. I heard she is from the capital.

"Monsieur Andre, make sure the food is ready by six", my father instructed his steward.

"Hey! Hey! Fold the curtains properly!" one angry aunt suddenly exclaimed.

In conclusion, the whole setup is going to be on fire tonight. Today, I get to meet the entire outside world: terrifying nobles, kind ones, and even indifferent ones.
