Chapter 65 - KRYPT-Ch.65: Natalie Russell’s Weakness?

Alliance Participants

Second Layer of Supernatural Realm

"Russell is a very capable woman!"

"I have never denied this. In fact, I would say that she has now become the most outstanding one among freshmen students..."

"However, she has a fatal weakness!"

Although Miss Smith was young, her tone and choice of words were very persuasive and attention-grabbing.

She seemed to have been born with the qualities of a leader. She truly lived up to her reputation as Magneto's daughter!

"I heard that the Flame-Flame Fruit power that Russell currently possesses didn't originally belong to her. It was that foolish boy who, for the sake of ridiculous love and to help Russell fulfill her own dream, gave her the Flame-Flame Fruit!"

"After obtaining the Flame-Flame Fruit, Russell did not betray the man. Every time she entered the supernatural realm, she brought her male gigolo with her..."

"I must say, their love story is very touching!"

"But it is precisely because of this that Russell has a weakness."

"Yes, Russell's weakness is her male lover!"

"Next, we will split into two teams. One team will distract Russell, while the other team will wait in ambush and seize the gigolo boy as soon as they find an opportunity!"

"As long as we keep that idiot under our control, given Russell's feelings for him, we can easily force Russell to give up on her own life..."

Everyone's eyes lit up when they heard about Miss Smith's plan.

It must be said that this plan, though simple, was quite good.

It seemed that Miss Smith had been preparing for this hunt for some time.

With a plan in place, everyone immediately got to work.

Because there was only an hour left until the mission was over.

...

Matthew Atkinson & Natalie Russell

Second Layer of the Supernatural Realm

On the roof of a house on the west side of the city, Matthew and Natalie were chatting.

The primary focus of the conversation was on guessing what the red light on the moon was.

Suddenly, Natalie's expression changed slightly, and she looked towards a street on the north side.

"What? They're here?" Matthew said with a smile, then looked in the direction Natalie was looking.

In the distance, along the street, several figures were moving in the darkness, approaching them.

"Now that they've arrived, let's go down and greet them!" As Matthew spoke, he jumped off the roof first.

Natalie sighed softly, said nothing, and jumped to the ground after Matthew.

The girl's primary attribute was her mental attribute, but her other three attributes also should not be underestimated, and she was very agile.

She was definitely no match for Matthew.

However, compared to ordinary people, they were simply overwhelming.

After landing, Natalie suddenly suggested, "Matthew, let me make the first move! You can watch over me from the side and help me if you find that I am in trouble."

Matthew was taken aback upon hearing this.

"Natalie, there's no need to go to all that trouble!" he said. "These people are nothing to me. We can eliminate them quickly. I'll handle the killing, and you can steal a few kills from behind if you like."

Natalie: "..."

"I can't keep hiding behind you forever, can I?" The girl insisted, "Let me test my abilities."

Matthew finally realized what was happening.

Natalie's actions were merely to test the situation for him. After all, superhumans were not like those monsters.

The monsters could be considered powerful, but they were also simple.

But no one knew precisely what abilities superhumans possessed, or whether they had any additional supernatural skills.

Usually, the supernatural skills produced in the supernatural realm could only be used as auxiliary attack methods because they were far inferior to the innate abilities created by the Holy Land.

However, some supernatural skills had unexpected effects and strong powers!

Natalie was clearly afraid that Matthew might accidentally fall into a trap and suffer a setback, so she decided to take the risk and test the freshmen's strength and methods first.

Matthew originally intended to refuse Natalie's idea because he felt it was unnecessary.

After all, with his current speed, he could easily kill them all before they could even react!

But having figured out Natalie's intentions, he thought it would be good to let her have some "experience" to improve herself.

After all, the layers of the supernatural realm ahead would only become more and more dangerous, and he might not be able to protect Natalie every moment in the future.

Also, with him around, the girl's chances of being in mortal danger were nearly zero.

"Alright, Natalie, I'll leave it to you for now, but you must be careful."

Matthew said, "We're guaranteed to win, so you absolutely mustn't take any risks!"

Natalie nodded: "I understand."

Matthew then found a seat nearby and left the stage for Natalie.

...

After a while…

-Boom!

With a loud bang, the main gate of the house was smashed open from the outside.

Then, a group of freshmen rushed in through the main gate, their momentum overwhelming.

They had different skin colors and came from various countries.

But at this moment, they shared a common goal: Kill Natalie Russell!

Natalie, who was being treated like the last boss on the spot, simply watched these colleagues who came to their door looking for death.

She glanced around and saw that there were only about twenty people and breathed a slight sigh of relief.

The girl's idea was simple: The fewer people who had to die, the better!

"Russell, you don't seem surprised at all to see us?"

Miss Smith, who was in the lead, glanced around the house and spotted Matthew "hiding" in a corner. She immediately revealed a confident smile.

"Did you know we were coming?"

Seeing that Natalie remained silent, Miss Smith continued, "Speaking of which, the responsibility for our presence here actually lies with you. You were too selfish, killing so many monsters and causing them to hide in fear, which seriously affected our mission progress."

"Do you know what? The team with the highest mission progress among us has only killed a dozen or so monsters!"

Miss Smith was truly shameless.

She clearly intended to kill Natalie, but first, she said words to justify herself and shifted all the blame onto Natalie.

Faced with such a shameless person, Natalie simply replied with a few words.

"You talk too much nonsense!"

Miss Smith wasn't annoyed by those words.

After all, in her eyes, Natalie was about to become a dead person, and she would die at her hands.

"It seems you're prepared to die, so..." Miss Smith waved her hand as she finished speaking.

Instantly, her two teammates rushed towards Natalie.

Then others followed suit.

Seeing this, Natalie dared not be careless and immediately used her Flame-Flame Fruit ability.

-Puff!

A raging flame erupted from the girl's right palm, and the temperature in the courtyard rose instantly.

Seeing this, all the freshmen looked solemn and stopped in their tracks, not daring to rush forward.

They were not fools. They knew that at this point, whoever went first was doomed...

"A bunch of useless trash!" Miss Smith gave a cold snort, then suddenly whistled.

She whistled very well. It was not only loud but also long.

'She must have practiced regularly!' Matthew thought.

As the whistle sounded, a dozen figures suddenly appeared from the walls on both sides of the courtyard, quickly vaulted over the walls, and rushed into the courtyard.

However, their target was not Natalie.

It was Matthew!
