Chapter 35 - Ch34- Golden rule

However, since this is an extremely dangerous species, as evident from the observation log, it must be contained and controlled in some manner. Following the golden rule of bioengineering—when you create a virus, you must also create its antidote—Rahul developed a countermeasure known as X-003. This organism was specifically engineered to target and neutralize B.1.4. It actively consumes B.1.4, breaking it down and producing a highly condensed mineral-like substance as a byproduct. This substance functions as both a potential energy source and a catalyst for the evolution of carbon-based life forms.

In essence, even after B-14's destruction, its remnants contribute to human advancement—transforming a deadly threat into a cornerstone for physiological and technological evolution.

Specimen Summary – X-003

Classification: Bioengineered Antidote Organism

Purpose: Countermeasure for B-14

Description:

X-003 is a highly specialized bioengineered species created specifically to neutralize and consume B-14. Upon contact, it efficiently breaks down B-14's structures, preventing uncontrolled proliferation and catastrophic damage.

Unique Properties:

Consumption and Conversion: Converts B-14 biomass into a highly condensed mineral-like substance.

Energy/Evolution Catalyst: The resulting byproduct serves as a source of power and a potential evolutionary catalyst for carbon-based life forms.

Human Advancement Potential: Even after neutralizing B-14, the substance produced can contribute to physiological and technological development in humans.

Controlled Deployment: Engineered for precise targeting, minimizing collateral risk while maximizing containment and resource recovery.

Significance:

X-003 transforms a lethal pathogen into a beneficial resource, demonstrating that even the most dangerous bioengineered threat can be converted into a tool for growth, energy, and evolutionary advancement.

Rahul stood over the containment chamber, eyes fixed on the faint glow of X-003 as it floated within its reinforced sphere. To any outsider, it might have seemed like a simple organism, but he knew better. X-003 was not just a countermeasure—it was a creation born from decades of observation, calculation, and ambition.

He allowed himself a small smile. B-14 was terrifying, a force that could wipe entire ecosystems from existence if left unchecked. But X-003 was the answer—a precise, relentless hunter designed to consume B-14 and transform its destructive power into something useful. Every fragment of B-14 that X-003 absorbed crystallized into a dense, mineral-like substance. In human hands, that substance could become fuel, could become evolution itself.

"This is the real test," Rahul murmured to himself. "Not just to see if it can contain B-14… but to see how far we can push it."

He imagined the new realm, a world unspoiled and rich with unknown life forms. There, B-14's destructive potential could be measured in ways impossible on Earth, and X-003 would follow, neutralizing threats while converting them into opportunity. In his mind, he already saw the possibilities: accelerated evolution, resource generation, and new breakthroughs in human physiology. Even in destruction, there could be creation.

Seeing that he had created both a specimen and its antidote, Rahul realized he could extract every resource from that world—every form of biomass—and convert it for the betterment of humanity. Some might call it unethical. And yes, it was. But this world was a jungle. In such a place, weakness meant death.

He would not allow the human species to be completely obliterated from existence. Being human himself, he felt it was his responsibility to ensure their survival—by any means necessary, and in the best possible way. Mercy had no place when survival was at stake. The beings in that realm were not human; if they were, ethical considerations might have limited his actions. But he knew they were not, and thus no moral hesitation would stop him from achieving his purpose.

After devising a plan for the new realm he intended to visit, Rahul decided it was time to determine which realm would be his next target and exactly where he needed to go. He tasked the night watchers with surveying nearby realms, beyond the two he had already nearly decimated for their respective species. The mission was to gather detailed information, so he could identify a realm that would be defenseless against him—one where the ruling species would be unable to recover, unlike the last time.

He envisioned it already: a world reduced to a mass of lifeless rock if he carried out his plan to the full extent. Over the next month, the night watchers scoured the nearby realms, mapping every detail. Then, suddenly, a report arrived from one of them—news that stunned Rahul entirely.

"Are you sure?" Rahul asked the lead night watcher.

"Yes, sir. I'm completely sure," the watcher replied. "The area has the same features we saw at the realm gate for the other world and its species."

Rahul was stunned. Humanity in this world had never seen a realm gate—no one here knew what one looked like. Yet the night watcher who had gone beyond the borders had found a new realm gate open inside the human territory: within the northern hemisphere, under Rahul's rule. It felt to him like a pie falling from the sky.

"Is anyone aware?" he asked.

"No, sir," the watcher said. "No humans know. Most of the fishermen believe it's a natural phenomenon or some kind of disaster. They don't understand gates or outer realms; they're just farmers and fishermen."

Rahul sat very still for a moment, then made his decision. "Deploy every night watcher. Take ten percent of my northern garrison. Secure a ten-kilometre perimeter. Evacuate the farmers and secure the site. It will be our base. A new world has just descended into ours; it may take decades before it assimilates, but until then it can serve as a foothold where we can establish biological facilities and sample collections without risking the heart of the human kingdom."

"Yes, sir. I will see it done," the night watcher said.

Rahul added, "Arrange new homes for the relocated farmers and fishermen. Provide them with ongoing assistance so they aren't devastated by this sudden move."

The watcher blinked, surprised by the concern in Rahul's tone, but bowed. "My lord, we will follow your orders."

Rahul continued, "Prepare the Night Watchers for deployment to the new realm. We don't know what awaits there. First secure the perimeter, then send reconnaissance teams to investigate. This is nothing like the last time, when humanity lacked the power to claim what it found. This time we will rule it."

The night watcher received the orders and immediately set the operation in motion. He divided the work into three teams for maximum efficiency. The first team was tasked with securing the perimeter. The second team oversaw the relocation of farmers and fishermen, ensuring the process went smoothly. The third team was responsible for gathering detailed information about the surrounding areas. Strict instructions were given: no rumors of the realm's discovery were to be spread, as any leak to other species could be disastrous and compromise their advantage.

The night watcher acted with remarkable efficiency, and the entire operation progressed smoothly and quickly. Each task assigned to the teams was completed without delay. The perimeter was fully secured, and the fishermen and farmers were successfully relocated to a new area. Thanks to careful planning and proper guidance, they faced minimal difficulties. Initially, there was some sadness among them, but the additional benefits and support they received soon eased their concerns.

All potential rumors about the new realm were effectively contained; no information had leaked. Only Rahul, the night watchers, and select high-ranking garrison officers overseeing the nearby army were aware of the discovery.

With the area secured, Rahul now turned his attention to the new realm. He planned to move there next month, but first he would review the reconnaissance report from the night watcher team, expected to arrive within two to three weeks. He had already instructed them to complete their survey and return within fifty days.
