"Ruonan? You're awake? We were all worried about you." Meiling sighed.
"What happened? For how long I've I been sleeping?" Ruonan asked in a hoarse voice.
"You've been out for three days, I thought something bad might happen to you." Meiling whined with tears filling her eyes.
"I'm okay now, besides I can't sleep forever, I have to prepare myself for what's to come."
"Ruonan, are you sure you want to go back there? I can plead with my dad to help with well known lawyers in China. I'm sure we'll win the case."
Meiling's parents are surgeons, so she suggested for her father to help Ruonan's current situation since they are wealthy. She even went on to transfer her friend to one of the VIP rooms in the hospital after she fainted the other day.
"Meiling, I don't want to bring your parents into this dirty mess, I can take care of it. Besides, you've done enough already."
"Why are you rejecting my help, Ruonan I—."
"What are you girls going on about, huh?"
Aunt Lin coming into the room with the trolley of food from the hospital.
"Immediately you woke up, you couldn't resist bickering with each other." Aunt Lin chuckled.
"Aunt Lin, can you please convince Ruonan? My father can help with the case."
"Meiling, your friend is right. It wouldn't be good to bring your parents into this matter, try to understand your friend's perspective." Aunt Lin sighed as she arranged the food on the table.
"But I want to help."
"You've helped with a lot of things; didn't you transfer us to this VIP room? all of this is more than enough." Aunt Lin smiled.
"Alright girls, this is enough bickering for the day. I went to see the doctor now; he advice Ruonan should visit the OB-GYN department for further check ups due to her condition which might lead to abdominal bleeding."
"So, we've got things to take care of. Let's eat first then we can meet the obstetrician." Aunt Lin announced while she sits with the two friends to eat.
While they were eating, Meiling continued to chew on the favorite dishes Ruonan wouldn't resist eating but due to her condition, she can't swallow solid foods, so Meiling did it on purpose to tease her.
Aunt Lin who was also eating with them observed their friendship and was instantly happy to know Davina has a friend that cares so much more than her mother.

Soon, Ruonan is being wheeled into the VIP OB-GYN department for her check up. Since it in the VIP section, Meiling demanded for her friend to be attended to at once.
Swiftly the female obstetrician ordered for the nurses to prepare the room for her which they did immediately without wasting much time.
While Aunt Lin and Meiling remained outside waiting, the nurses helped Davina to change into another gown and told her to lie down.
"Ms Chen?"
"Yes! That's me." Ruonan answered the obstetrician while raising her head.
"Miss, please don't stress yourself, it's needed for successful transfer treatment." The obstetrician advised. Ruonan found those words strange but didn't ask because she thought it was a term used by the OB-GYN department.
"Please relax your body, due to the injuries you have suffered, we have to be very careful with the process."
Ruonan nodded in agreement and sighed.
What happened next would blow your mind 😂 Ruonan has never visited any obstetrician before and doesn't know she has to open her legs for the doctor to see her VJ, so she struggled a bit with her thoughts before she agreed. The female obstetrician couldn't stop smiling at her actions but immediately calmed her down.
While the obstetrician was doing her job, Ruonan felt a little cramp, and she could somehow feel a cold thin object enter her VJ and was pulled out within seconds.
"Are we done already?" She asked in surprise of how fast the test was.
"Yes! Miss Chen, that is all for now. All you need to do is take care of yourself and have a good time rest. Further follow-up test will be done after three weeks." The obstetrician answered with a smile.
"I repeat, please refrain from all types of stress." She warned again before calling the nurses to attend to Ruonan.
"Thank you!"
"Miss Chen?" The nurses at the reception desk called a slender figured lady with pure fair skin. Her demeanor and style of walking in resemblance to a fashion model with her hair styled in a wavy ponytail.
"I didn't know there could be another Chen here in C City, sounds interesting." Meiling whispered into Aunt Lin's ears causing them both to chuckle at the same time. They were able to hear everything happening because they are also waiting at the reception center.
"What's interesting?" Ruonan asked from behind Aunt Lin and Meiling causing them both to shriek at the same time.
"Aaaah! You scared me. For how long you have been here?" Meiling asked with one palm placed on her chest.
"Sounds interesting?"
"You could have told us you were here."
"That's enough both of you, remember we still have to visit other departments for check ups." Aunt Lin reminded.
The two friends rolled their eyes at each other before scoffing. They didn't know Aunt Lin was observing them and smiling from behind, wondering how they became friends in the first place.
After visiting the other necessary departments for tests and X-rays, she was discharged the second day.
While they were arranging their bags, Aunt Lin's colleagues at work called to ask about how she would fill in for the days of work she missed.
When Ruonan heard their conversation and her aunt pleading for more days to spare, she felt bad considering that her aunt missed those days just to stay with her.
Aunt Lin works as a hair stylist at a luxury salon in C City, that means missing days of bookings by customers is a loss for the business especially if it's from celebrities or filming crew.
