Chapter 76- A Man Who Did
The crowd only got more and more riled up with Jack's silence. The boy stared at the scenes with a blank expression as if he didn't understand what was happening exactly or, to be more precise, refused to understand and simply watched as if he was a bystander and not the target of all of that anger being spouted out everywhere.
"Hey, Jack didn't do anything wrong!" Alex was the first to get to him as he yelled. "If it wasn't for him, we all would've been dead long ago! Why are you yelling at him?"
"..." Jack stared to the side for a second before he looked ahead again.
"He killed that old woman!! I saw it!"
"Yeah! And many have been taken by those disgusting creatures!"
"We want an explanation for what happened?!"
The people protested again, replying to Alex with their own reasons. At first glance, their reasoning is completely valid. From their point of view, everything happened far too fast, and they couldn't comprehend what even occurred.
